Dr. Haws and his wife, Claudia, are excited to be back home in Eastern Tennessee. Dr. Haws enjoys spending time on the lake fishing, going hunting, and playing with two daughters. Dr. Haws is also an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan.

Dr. Haws grew up in Jonesborough, TN, and completed his Bachelor's at East Tennessee State University. From there Dr. Haws attended the University of Tennessee dental school, where he graduated in the top 5 of his class, earning the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award, and the Delta Dental Plan of Tennessee Scholarship award for outstanding academic achievement, graduating with the highest honors.
In 2007, Dr. Haws continued his education at Louisiana State University, completing his Orthodontic specialty. He was a recipient of the 2007 James Bordelon, DDS Memorial Award for clinical excellence in Orthodontics.
Dr. Haws is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society, Richard Doggett Dean Honorary Odontological Society, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, and the Southern Association of Orthodontists.
Believing that continuing education is key to a successful career, Dr. Haws continued his education after completing his orthodontic residency through the Advanced Education in Orthodontics program. He completed the Roth-Williams course in Detroit, MI, where he learned that the secret to long-term health and stability is to achieve, as closely as possible, nature's ideal harmony between the teeth, jaw joints, and muscles. Dr. Haws' philosophy is to blend aesthetics, function, health, and joint stability into his orthodontic practice. He believes a pretty smile is important, but it will not last without the correct marriage of function and form within the entire system.

I was very disappointed with my experience with the service. I have had trouble getting appointments with Dr Haws in person to get a problem resolved with my teeth.

The work is good but I witnessed the receptionist asking kids what days and times were ok for them. That puts parents in a hard place with their work. Maybe find out from the parents of the children what time and date is good for their child.

I always look forward to coming into the office for adjustments because Karen is always so welcoming and Debbie is just a joy to be around. The atmosphere is great and I would highly recommend Dr Haws to everyone!

My daughter had her braces here and her smile looks amazing. That is the most important thing by far. The only down side to the experience was having a 'service charge' if you need to use a debit card to pay once a month. I had to work during the day and would often forget to write out the check that morning when someone else would be taking my daughter after school. Yes, the front desk was extremely nice in saying, "you can bring by a check later,' but still. The debit card is a proper form of convenience payment and, in my opinion, a thriving business shouldn't feel the need to make the client eat that service charge cost.
