Jonathanearned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with a minor inPsychology from the University of Vermont in 1994.For two years after undergraduate study, hewas a genetics research assistant at Women and Infants Hospital, Providence, RI. He then attended Dalhousie University, Faculty of Dentistry, in Halifax, NS, Canada, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000. Dr. Greene decided to achieve a higher level of training at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut where he completed a General Practice Residency in 2001.
Dr. Greene practiced dentistry in Westerly, RI from 2001 to 2007 before coming to Norwich.He is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, New London County DentalSociety, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and Norwich Chamber of Commerce.Dr. Greene also has a special passion for the American Warrior organization (www.americanwarrior.us) paying overduethanks to our veterans.He is on the Board of Directors and has been onsix of the Honor Flight trips! In 2014, he joined the Norwich Public Schools District Wellness Committee to help develop programs to keep our children healthy!
The Norwich, CT practice was founded in 1972 by Dr. Frank Baldino. Dr. Baldino, now retired, provided dentistry to the community forover25 years. Frank, although now retired, is a patient and very good friend of the practice. In 1976, Dr. J Michael Schermerhorn joined the practice and took over ownership in 1992. Dr. Schermerhorn recently retired in 2011 and remains a very good friend to the practice. Dr. Jonathan E. I really enjoyed going to Greene Dental for the past few years, but really disappointed with how the front desk has gone downhill. I switched insurance and the older woman that was at the desk used to always check my insurance and let me know if I'd owe anything. Seems like it's all new young girls, one who told me I was all covered, but that was not true so now I'm stuck with a bill. I understand it's my responsibility to double check but having the support of the office is what I loved about Greene Dental, but not anymore. EDIT: Dr. Greene called me to apologize and explain the misunderstanding. He also made sure I did not end up with a bill I wasn't expecting. I really appreciated him taking the time to reach out, and appreciated the staff listening to my situation and caring to make sure it was resolved. Thank you!!

Everybody there is wonderful! They are all nice, and greet each patient. Dr Greene has a great manner about him. Allie is the best hygienist!! She caters to me as I am a terrible patient. She is great about my drooling and gag reflex. . She does the xrays and the cleaning so efficiently.

This is the best dental group I have ever been to, they are very kind and caring and make you feel comfortable when you go there. I have extreme anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist and Dr. Greene helped me so much! He allowed me to be a part of the process in terms of the care plan, as I have a lot of work that needs to be done. Instead of telling me what was going to happen, he offered me options and walked me through what he felt the benefits and risks were for each option. My previous dentist had told me that three of my teeth needed to be extracted, and while it's not 100% decided yet, Dr. Greene is going to have the teeth further evaluated and he's confident that two of them likely will not have to come out, one of them for sure does not have to come out, and the third one may have to come out but at least he's doing everything in his power to try to save that tooth before he pulls it. My previous dentist never told me that there were options for these teeth! I left Dr. Greene's office feeling hopeful and positive for the first time in many years about my teeth. Dr. Greene is kind and professional. I highly recommend his office, ESPECIALLY if you have any fears associated with dentistry.

I really liked that they did everything they could to get me in as soon as possible when I was having some really bad dental pain. My previous provider told me that they could schedule me 2 months from the time of my call. At Greene dental group they first had me for a week from the day I called and then after a cancellation they were able to fit me in the very next day. Outstanding service.
