I feel fortunate to have graduated from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where I received an outstanding dental education from some of the best mentors in the nation. Prior to dental school, I earned a degree in electrical engineering and worked for 6 years in the electronics industry in Cincinnati. I am a proud and active member of:
I live in Greencastle with my wife Emily, a Greencastle High School and DePauw University graduate; 13-year-old daughter, Eleanor; 11-year-old son, Charles; and 8-year-old son, Michael. While not in the dental office, I spend my time working outside in the yard, hiking local trails and traveling.
Dr. Funke attended the University of Louisville for dental school, where she was involved in student leadership and served on a mission trip in Jamaica to provide dental care. Dr. Funke is a proud Boilermaker alumnus!
When Dr. Funke isnt with patients, you might find her with her partner in crime, Adam, or other members of her large family. (Her mom has seven siblings, and her dad has five!) She loves curling up with a good book (shout out to any other Harry Potter fans), staying healthy through fitness, and exploring new cities.
We attract talented people who are dedicated to working at the highest levels ofdentistryand thats what our Hygiene Team commits to each and every day. Comprised of some of the hardest working people around, Rachel, Tara, Teresa and Ashley are dedicated to not only providing patients with the best hygiene care possible, but educating them as well. Our patients are truly amazed at the thorough hygiene care we provide that goes well beyond what is typical. Our hygienists take time and care to provide extraordinary cleanings, as well as to promote proper oral health. It is the goal of our Hygiene Team and our practice at large to keep patients healthy and happy for a lifetime.

Walked in with referral from client no appointment. Planning to make appointment they took me in within one hour. Assessed problem in short amount of time and scheduled follow up for next week. I am very appreciative of prompt service

As some one who fears the medieval instruments of doom that dentists use, 5/5 would definitely recommend Hometown Dental. The staff there are always very friendly and comforting-especially to scaredy cats like me! If you don't want cavities go see Dr. Funke and Ashley!!!

Excellent and super friendly dental team! Everyone exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed with every interaction and the dental exam, which included a thorough cleaning by Teresa and a thorough oral cancer exam by Dr. Funke. Thanks for the superb dental care!

I am one of those people who fear going to the dentist - I had bad experiences as a child & young adult. Theresa, my dental hygienist, put me at ease at once & did a fantastic job. Everyone in the office was pleasant & there was happy chatter throughout while I was there. It was a friendly atmosphere & so much better than what had experienced in my past!

I have a fear of the dentist. I had a tooth extraction done with a great dentist....sry I don't know her name that's how uncomfortable I was. The dentist and her assistant was comforting and understanding... Thank goodness for professional people in our neighborhood....
