Green Park Dentistry has cared for families since 2016 when Dr. Andrew Sugg took over the office of Dr. Delores Hammer. Known locally as the Gentle Dentist, Dr. Sugg has treated patients from across the country, including caring for the dental needs of our nations veterans at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in St. Petersburg, Florida.

I was born and raised in Rockingham, North Carolina (aka The Rock). After high school, I completed my Bachelor of Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with University Honors and Biology Departmental Honors (BS 08). I continued my studies in dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (DDS 12). After dental school, I elected to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency (AEGD) program while also serving our nations veterans at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in St. Petersburg, Florida. During my residency, I was able to focus on patient care while learning advanced techniques in prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics and oral surgery.
I love the practice of dentistry and enjoy volunteering my time to assist those who could not otherwise afford dental care through such organizations as North Carolina Mission of Mercy, Dentistry from the Heart, and the Veterans Healthy Mouth Movement. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends on the lake, hiking and learning about science and history.

I was raised in Thomasville, NC and attended UNC Wilmington where I earned my Bachelors degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. I completed dental school at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. When I am not practicing dentistry, I enjoy playing sports and being outdoors. You can usually find me skiing on the lake or playing yard games with my family. This year I get to marry the love of my life and we cant wait to become part of the Hickory community.I look forward to meeting you!
Hello, I am Amanda. I was born and raised in Caldwell County and still reside there today. I graduated from Catawba Valley Community College in 2012 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Dental Hygiene means more to me than just cleaning teeth. I enjoy getting to know my patients and giving them the care they deserve. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Richard and our three young children. We love spending time outdoors like camping, sports, boating, and the beach. I love warm weather and sunshine!
Hi, Im Kara, a Dental Hygienist at Green Park Dentistry. I was born and raised in the foothills of NC near Wilkesboro and moved to the Hickory area in 2006. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2003 with a BS in Dental Hygiene and have been working as a hygienist ever since. I love my Tarheels! GO HEELS!! Outside of work I enjoy spending my time with my husband Todd, and our two wonderful children. I enjoy boating on the lake, soccer and dance with my kids, camping with the family, and I am active in my church. They keep me pretty busy, but I love every minute of it! My passion for dentistry started in high school because of the kindness and care I received from my dentist and hygienist. Hi, my name is Lisa and I have been a dental assistant for 25 years. Im originally from central New Jersey, but I moved down to North Carolina 23 years ago. I became a dental assistant to help others and make them smile. When not working, I like to spend time with my family going camping, on cruises, and boating. My husband Doug and I have been married for 34 years and he is employed in law enforcement. My oldest son is a graduate of NC State University and is a mechanical engineer in Richmond, VA for GE. My middle son is a graduate of Appalachian State University and is now an Accounts Manager at ON 24. My daughteris a freshman at South Caldwell High School and enjoys spending time just being with family. We were also foster parents for the last Fourteen years and have taken in over forty-five children so far. I strive to make your experience at Green Park Dentistry a pleasant one!
Hi, my name is Sylvia. I am a dental assistant at Green Park Dentistry. I am originally from California and completed my degree as a dental assistant at Los Angeles City College in 1985, and obtained my license as a registered dental assistant with expanded functions in 1986. I moved to Florida in 1998 and continued my career as a dental assistant. I moved to Hickory in 2013 to be closer to family. I really love the feeling of community that Hickory offers. I enjoy travelling and am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. I am blessed with two children and two granddaughters, Acelidora and Isabella. Hi, my name is Sandra. I have been a member of the Green Park team since 2020 and have been a dental assistant since 2016. I grew up in Hickory and call North Carolina home. I am bilingual, fluent in Spanish. I first expressed interest in the dental field in my early childhood when my mother would bring me to observe her as a dental assistant. Working as a dental assistant has been very rewarding because I get to help patients feel comfortable at the dentist and I love to see the confidence patients gain when they achieve their smile goals. When I am not at work; I spend time with my three children. I enjoy relaxing, shopping, watching movies and spontaneous weekend getaways. I have roots in Massachusetts and relocated to North Carolina from St Petersburg, Florida where I spent most of my career outside of the dental world. Having a strong science background and management experience allowed me to mold my experiences to provide a fresh perspective to Green Park Dentistry. Hello, my name is Jasmin. I graduated from St Stephens High School in 2014, and continued my education at Charlotte Dental Assistant School where I received my certification in 2014. I love to sing, travel, and help others. I married my high school sweetheart who I now have 2 beautiful kids with; Steven and Roselyn. I cant wait to meet all our patients. Woof; my name is Oliver, a.k.a. Gooby. I was born March 17th, 2021; St Patricks Day, in Hickory, NC. Naturally, I like the color green, so its no surprise I enjoy working with the team at Green Park Dentistry. I began my career in dentistry at an early age and I love all my GPD teammates and patients. You can usually find me sleeping in my bed, but I love to comfort our patients when they are nervous, but dont forget to give me a treat! I like to take naps, play tug-of-war, and peanut butter will always get my attention. I stay well behaved while at work but as soon as I get home the zoomies come out. I have an older cat brother and an older sister yellow lab who like when I go to work for the day so they can relax at home. Id love to meet you next time youre in the office!
