We are trained in all aspects of child psychology as it relates to providing dental care for your child.

As a pediatric dentist, we have a responsibility to educate our community on preventative dental care. Dr. Luu and her team take the time for education and discussion with parents and children to maintain optimal dental health, even after they leave our office. When you talk to children about going to the dentist and what to expect, you might find that its better to talk about this issue in terms that are easy for your child to understand. You dont want to use terms that are for adults because your child likely wont understand everything you say or might become frightened if you talk about needles in the mouth or fillings. You can talk about visiting your Houston pediatric dentist with words and explanations that are positive and that will gently explain what they will see, hear and experience.

Instead of using big words that might sound like they come from an encyclopedia, talk to your child about the dentist using words that are simple. Before you visit a pediatric dentist, talk about the office and the procedures using basic words, like toothbrush, toothpaste, and lights. Your child will probably understand when you talk about the dentist looking at and counting the teeth instead of talking about the dentist taking an X-ray or looking for cavities. If your child is getting a filling or needs additional treatment, dont use words that are frightening. Explain how the dentist is trying to make the teeth healthy and pretty so that they will last for a long time.

There are few people who like going to the dentist. However, you need to talk to your children about keeping the teeth healthy and how important it is to brush them and keep them clean. A part of keeping them clean and healthy is going to the dentist. Explain that the dentist is a friend who is only trying to help. Be honest about how something might taste or feel without scaring your child.

Terms should be explained in a way that makes sense for your child. Show your child that toothpaste and other products are brushed or painted on the teeth to keep them white and healthy. A way to teach your child about X-rays is to explain that they are like a picture that is taken of the mouth. You can also talk about floss being a string that will help remove germs between the teeth.

I must say today was my first time at Greater Houston Pediatric Dentistry and I've consulted with 2 other doctors prior to my visit here for my daughter and every consultation has been different. I meant with Dr. Carolina Calle and her expertise threw me by surprise! She was straight forward and very honest and I can tell she cares about her patients and loves what she does and that it's not just about money! She listened to my concerns about my child's teeth and told me things no other Dentistry or orthodontist has mentioned. I love how professional Dr. Carolina Calle is and grateful for meeting her on today. This morning started off rough but her light and love through her professionalism brought much peace to me on today. Thank God for answered prayers and Drs like her. I actually prayed before coming into this office and I see now the importance of acknowledging God in all you do. She was such a blessing in more ways than one !

So regret and very disappointed with this pediatric dentistry, they are very unprofessional. Never go back there again. Especially, the receptionist who was very rude and unpleasant. We read their review before we made an appointment for our son to see the dentist at this location. But, our first visit was bad experience with the treatment by the dentist and the receptionist. Without thorough exam, the dentist took a look at my son' gums and saw it was swollen. She decided not to treat my son or take any further actions. We were there for about 15 minutes total. They charged us $81 with insurance (Cigna) from my work which was supposed to be only 20% copay. We have asked the receptionist to confirm the charges with the dentist but the receptionist refuse to do so and we kept asking her to confirm the charges with the dentist. Finally, she left the desk for about 1 minute and came back telling us that the charges was correct. Later, on the way home, the dentist called and apologized for incorrect charges, saying it was a system error. Never again coming back here. This place is not where you want to bring your child here for care.

So far so good! Just switched my kids here. They had appts a day apart. They saw the same tech and doctor! Was in and out in under 40 mins! Clean, Profesional, friendly staff. The last dentist...LOVETT DENTAL...we would be there for HOURS...LITERALLY..NEVER saw the same dentist twice ..someone new every single time we went. Last visit the doc said the white stain on both my kids teeth were the beginning signs of their teeth rottening. I was shocked! My kids don't drink soda or eat a bunch of junk, they brush regularly so it really threw me off! I was fussing af my kids thinking they were eating/drinking stuff they had no business when away from home and now here they are teeth rotten?! They've ALWAYS had excellent dentist visits ..well. I get home and got my own Dental kit and cleaned the spot right off their teeth! Thanks to this new dentist, she told me it just a calculus build up and it's not even a bad sign! Yeah...Lovett Dental..they all need to close down....ok! So, yes, loving this office and staff so far..very pleased! Would recommend!

We brought both of our daughters in today for their first dental care visit. Everyone here from the front desk, both of the hygienists and the doctor were wonderful! They were very sweet and the atmosphere is great for kids. Very happy I found them!

The doctors office has great staff and made my seven year old son feel comfortable and had him laughing. We got some horrible news about him needing a root canal, yes, at seven! His pain level has been horrible and it is going to take a few days for us to find a doctor that is able and willing to do the procedure. The office went to call in a prescription for an antibiotic, the amazing front desk receptionist stayed on hold with the pharmacy for over 30 minutes trying to order the medication. The pharmacy then told her to leave it on the voicemail and then the pharmacy never even filled it. She called me back first thing this morning to check on the medication for me and is now ordering it at a different pharmacy for my son. If that's not fantastic customer service, then I don't know what is. I will be suggesting this dentist office to all of my friends with kiddos. They even give tokens at the end of the visit for the kids to get a special treat before leaving!!!

My daughter was referred to this office from her dentist to have treatment done. The office is very clean, and organized I loved it so much that I have now made this her primary dentist. Dr. Johnson is amazing she took her time with my daughter, I was able to be with my daughter the entire time, she is sweet and talks to the patient to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. My daughter loved it and let Dr. Johnson do the treatment fine she had a bad experience before but thanks to how kind Dr. Johnson is she helped my daughter feel better. The staff is very helpful and kind also. Too bad it's only pediatric dentistry otherwise I would be a patient as well.

This dentist is horrible! 1st, Carolina Calle is the worst dentist. Her treatment always lead to more problems. She did crown, which became extraction, and the filling she did falls within 3 days. I can't believe she passed her residency, became a doctor and got hired. 2nd, the front desk Tia and Maria feel comfortable giving medical advise, which is shocking to me considering they are not doctors.
