Our personal goal is to provide your child with the best oral care possible and to create responsible dental patients for life. By starting at an early age, we can help to instill in your children the importance of dental healthcare and work together with parents on daily maintenance. We also help to create good memories of coming to the dentist as they grow so that they feel comfortable and confident in the dentists chair. We are trained in all aspects of child psychology as it relates to providing dental care for your child.

Our office is committed to a standard of excellence in personalized dental care. We strive to provide dental services that will be the best for your child long-term. Our goal is to make sure your child is free of pain, infection, and leave with a good experience and a healthy attitude towards oral health.

As a pediatric dentist, we have a responsibility to educate our community on preventative dental care. Dr. Luu and her team take the time for education and discussion with parents and children to maintain optimal dental health, even after they leave our office. We understand each patient is different, and give each patient individualized care and a patient-focused prevention plan.

When you talk to children about going to the dentist and what to expect, you might find that its better to talk about this issue in terms that are easy for your child to understand. You dont want to use terms that are for adults because your child likely wont understand everything you say or might become frightened if you talk about needles in the mouth or fillings. You can talk about visiting your Houston pediatric dentist with words and explanations that are positive and that will gently explain what they will see, hear and experience.

Instead of using big words that might sound like they come from an encyclopedia, talk to your child about the dentist using words that are simple. Before you visit a pediatric dentist, talk about the office and the procedures using basic words, like toothbrush, toothpaste, and lights. Your child will probably understand when you talk about the dentist looking at and counting the teeth instead of talking about the dentist taking an X-ray or looking for cavities. If your child is getting a filling or needs additional treatment, dont use words that are frightening. Explain how the dentist is trying to make the teeth healthy and pretty so that they will last for a long time.

There are few people who like going to the dentist. However, you need to talk to your children about keeping the teeth healthy and how important it is to brush them and keep them clean. A part of keeping them clean and healthy is going to the dentist. Explain that the dentist is a friend who is only trying to help. Be honest about how something might taste or feel without scaring your child.

Terms should be explained in a way that makes sense for your child. Show your child that toothpaste and other products are brushed or painted on the teeth to keep them white and healthy. A way to teach your child about X-rays is to explain that they are like a picture that is taken of the mouth. You can also talk about floss being a string that will help remove germs between the teeth.

I don't ever leave good or bad reviews. But this one has set it off for the bad. I do not recommend this place for any child!!! What so ever.!!! They hold your child and leave marks ! ( ('Dr.luu)) What a shame to a innocent child!!!!

I don't ever leave reviews but I have to for this! Firstly we got there at 8:30. My kids didn't get pulled back until 10. Only for one kid to be given sedation. We were then sent back out to the lobby for another hour. My son who is 5 was not sedated at all. He was fully awake, and not in the slightest sleepy. They finally call his name. Would joy even let me walk him back to the room. He starts crying because he's scared. They walk him back. 10 mins later I hear him screaming and crying. I ask to have someone check on him. They told me he was just scared of the noise. A few minutes later passed and he is still screaming crying. Screaming loud enough I can hear it from the lobby. I again ask someone to check on him. Then she comes back and said the dentist was going to stop. When I got back to my son. HE WAS FULLY AWAKE in the chair. Face red!! Tearing streaming down his face!! They had done one filling on him while he was awake and feeling everything. After we got back to the lobby my son then calmed down and was running around playing and playing in the ball pit they have! COMPLETELY FINE! AND COMPLETELY AWAKE! NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST SLEEPY! NOT IN ANWAY LIKE HE HAD JUST BEEN GIVEN A SEDATIVE!!! We were then informed the dentist recommends going to a hospital to have what he needed done. Which was a filling and a cap. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not only were we in the office for about 5 hours!!! But what my son experienced is a pathetic excuse for healthcare!

TERRIBLE. Do not recommend for anyone. They will scare your children out of ever wanting to see a dentist again. Squeezing my nephews arm to the point of having a bruise.

ALL my children go to this office all these bad reviews that say they don't sedate the patient all the way is ridiculous! I'm a dental assistant an my children had sedation at this office an they did just fine Dr luu an charlotte are great they told me that my child would be "DROWSY" NOT FULLY ASLEEP so apparently these parents aren't listening to the PROFESSIONALS. They also give them ANESTHETIC so to say your child is feeling everything is total BS. Also they did use the papoose on my children Dr. Luu but they explained that it was for the child's safety so they don't roll out of the chair an so they don't raise their hand an hit the doctor while she's working on them. I'll always go to Dr luu her an her staff are amazing with children. Thank you Dr luu for everything you do.

My kids love this office and Dr. Luu! The office is bright, colorful and cheerful with a super inviting atmosphere, ball pit and movie screen! We loved that the assistant greeted my child with "Hi Friend!" and thoroughly explained what to expect at our sedation appt. The staff made us all feel at ease and for that we are so grateful! Thank you Dr. Luu and team.

"We were so impressed with the professionalism and kindness of this team of dentists and their staff. We went to Greater Houston Pediatric Dentistry to get a second opinion for our 2 year old who was given a very extensive dental plan from the first place we took him, due to painful cavities. At Greater Houston Pediatric Dentistry, they were so kind in going out of their way to schedule and care for our son, who was in pain, even though they were fully booked for the month. Dr. Callie and Dr. Z took a much less intrusive plan than the first place we took him to, and we're able to professionally treat him and swiftly care for the problem, with the least amount of pain possible. Our son is so much happier now and pain free. We are taking all of our kids here because of the outstanding service they have provided."

I'd put zero stars if I could. They traumatized my daughter today during a filling procedure. The assistant even stated that they only have so much time. So because they were running behind they continued a procedure with my child screaming to stop. They stated they waited 7 minutes since numbing her to begin and she instantly started screaming. When I heard her screaming I went back there and witnessed what was happening. Instead of making sure my child was comfortable, they kept saying, "we are almost done". She was having an anxiety attack while being tortured. And they said it was ok. Couldn't tell you if her heart was ok bc all the monitors were kicked off. Kid in a headlock. We got maybe a third of the way thru before I unwrapped my child myself and took her out of this tourtire chamber!!!!

This place is AMAZING!! My son was scared due to a previous dentist he went to, he went yesterday to Greater Houston in Conroe, they made him feel so comfortable, he had to have a procedure fixed because the previous dentist messed up... he was in and out in a little over a hour. He told me yesterday he can't wait to go back! The ladies are so sweet and called to follow up on him, great customer service ladies!! Recommend them all day!!
