Dr. Kurtz attended Syracuse University for his undergraduate studies, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1995. He went on to attend dental school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 1999.
Dr. Kurtz is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the Danbury Dental Society, and many other national, state, and local organizations.
Dr. Kurtz maintains his continuing education by attending multiple seminars and conferences every year, bringing the latest techniques and technologies in oral surgery into our practice for your best result.
Dr. Kurtz also enjoys giving back to the community. He is an active participant of the CT Mission of Mercy, giving smiles to those in the community who need dental care, and is a regular supporter of I Love Childrens Sports Programs.

I went to see them about a month ago. I had insurance at the time they gave me a 3d X-ray I had a bridge that had needed replacement with implants. 15k worth. But In the meanwhile I had 2 teeth that were infected underneath. I had to wait weeks for the extractions. Then I had unfortunately lost my job after 7 years. I was told I could still come in for the extractions when I called to get in sooner someone told me they did take state insurance and made another appointment. When I called again to get in even sooner because I am in pain another proceeded to tell me they DID NOT take state insurance. Now they pretty much want nothing to do with me. Except for their $340 for the X-ray. This place is for the rich people in the town of New Milford: and surrounding richer towns. Just unreal. Oh well. Off to New England Dental in Brookfield I go.This oral surgery NM office are all about the $$$$$.

I needed an extraction related to a cracked tooth. I tried to make appointments with an oral surgeon who participated with my dental insurance. The one place that did participate couldn't give me an appointment for a first visit consultation for less than two months away. I found the same with problem with three other offices. I then decided to self-refer to GCODIS at the New Milford location primarily based on it's proximity and travel time. I was able to get a consultation appointment scheduled in one month. After the consultation visit, I was scheduled to have the procedure performed in two weeks. Upon arrival for the actual procedure I was escorted to a procedure room. The assistant was professional, personable and courteous. Dr. Lee was very nice and was very patient with me. He listened intently, again explained what needed to be done, and answered any and all questions that I had. Dr. Lee reaffirmed my preference for anesthesia. Dr. Lee extracted the molar. He said it wasn't the easiest extraction, but it wasn't the hardest either. I was very pleased with GCODIS. The office wait times were 5-10 minutes which is above average for most doctors offices. The office building and rooms were neat, orderly and clean. The staff were professional personable. Dr. Lee was professional, personable and courteous. Dr. Lee listened to my history and the description of events leading to GCODIS and answered all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed or lacking any care. The office called me the next day to follow up post procedure. Despite being a dental office where most people dread going, my experience was very positive and I have no complaints. I give GCODIS with Dr. Lee my personal recommendation and a bid thumbs up.

Great experience with Dr. Lee and the staff. During my first visit, Dr. Lee thoroughly discussed the options and, more importantly, the risks and benefits. At that time, I knew I was in good hands. I appreciate that Dr. Lee tailored it to best suit my case and took good care of his patient. The entire wisdom removal procedure went smoothly and at ease. Dr Lee's office is the only one that would squeeze me in to get a tooth pulled I was in pain and some told me 2 weeks or more they got me In The very next day. And the office staff was also very nice. I would recommend Dr Lee and will be going back for some more dental work I need

I had a great experience at Greater Connecticut Oral & Dental Implant Surgery. The front office staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful in scheduling my appointment in a timely manner. They were friendly when I arrived for my appointment and the wait time was reasonable. Dr. Lee explained the procedure, he was gentle and completed the work painlessly. The follow up appointments were timely and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this practice to friends and family in the future.

Terrible job explaining the post op care necessary for a first time patient for wisdom teeth surgery. Clearly just pumping patients in and out with no regard for how to stop bleeding after, what foods to eat/avoid, how to keep wounds clean, how long each healing stage should take, and gave advice that contradicted my research, such as when to start using salt water. The surgery was easy but post op explanations were focused on making it seem like an easy recovery rather than preparing me for what to expect during that time and how to speed up the recovery process.

Dr. Lee and the assistant Steph were amazing during my extraction. I was initially very anxious but their confidence made me feel assured. They are definitely not trying to make money off of their patients, especially after hearing that the practice donates a free oral surgery to someone in the community who needs it. All around great practice.

My husband had been there for a service done by Dr. Lee. The problem lies with the billing office and communication. I called and spoke with Danbury office and billing department. We recvd. A bill after my husband paid his in person amount due. Since Dr. Lee did the service same day his office never had a chance to call our insurance to let us know the "real" amount we were responsible for. We got a bill for over $600.00 which was a big surprise. When he went for his follow-up he stopped at the desk and he was told to go and have a nice day. I just figured that Dr. lee knew I had called to suggest we pay half since the bill was alot of money and we could work together on resolving it So they told my husband to go. Well, another bill in the same amount came about 2 weeks later now I'm stuck with a big balance that was never discussed. We also got a separate bill from the lab they use so add that also to our amount due for a simple procedure. I was not looking to not pay, but to atleast meet us half way. No call backs, mislead, and would never suggest this group to anyone in the future. Beware!! Go to other Oral surgeon groups... this is about money as usual and when a patient is mislead that's a huge red flag.

This was the first time I have been here. I had a wisdom tooth extraction with local anesthesia. The process was quick, efficient, and painless. I was totally satisfied. This is a well run practice with courteous and informative staff. Dr. Lee has a very comforting and professional presence.
