Dr. Ali Tekdogan, founder of Great Smile Deerfield, grew up in Evanston, Illinois, went to ETHS, Loyola University of Chicago, and attended dental school at Creighton University. He also has advanced cosmetic dentistry training from Northwestern University.
With more than 20 years in private practice, Dr. Ali Tekdogan specializes in the art of gentle dentistry, priding himself in over two decades of dental practice for all ages, from infants to seniors. Our family dental practice has been providing dental services in Deerfield, Illinois since 2001. We are very personal and family-oriented and make sure to know our patients and their families.
Dr. Faiz Rahman is a General Dentist at Great Smile. Before graduating from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, he earned a Masters in Cell and Molecular Biology from Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA in Health Administration from Benedictine University
Dr. Faiz is committed to providing exceptional experience for his patients, including high quality dental medicine and personalized oral care strategies. He believes in the spirit of collaboration and works closely with our other providers to ensure you receive the best comprehensive dental care available.
Dr. Faiz relishes the thrill of competition and is an avid fan of sports and fitness, regularly competing in football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and soccer. He also enjoys Mountain Dew and Little Debbie brownies (but doesnt recommend it for his patients).

Dr. Tekdogan saved the day. I was on travel in Waukegan, IL and I chipped a tooth. As I spend my time between St. Louis and Vancouver, BC, I was in a pickle. Dr. Tekdogan was able to work me in within 24 hours and fixed my chipped tooth. I was a little concerned that the color of the filling would not match. I know it is close to Halloween, but I did not want a smile that looked like Indian Corn. He did a great job of matching the color of the tooth. It was a painless and quick procedure. Dr. Tekdogan and his staff were exceptional communicators and very nice. I especially enjoyed Dr. Tekdogan's bedside manner. I will go out of my way to see him again. He is the best dentist I have seen in the last 20 years. Thank you so much.

After 4 years of searching for dentists, I found Dr. Ali Tekdogan. We live in the city in Chicago, and I traveled to Deerfield for Dr. Tekdogan - It was well worth it. My experience was amazing and I got treated right away. He does not perform any unnecessary treatments, really through and helpful. I went with a pain on my upper right side and Joyce only took one X-Ray of that area! I am being treated for the infection I had and possibly need replacement of a filling. Scheduling with Jackie is really easy and they are pretty flexible to set an emergency appointment. I cannot be more grateful to find Dr. Tekdogan and his team. We are already scheduled to see him again! If you are looking for a dentist, he is the one! Do not over search for anything else. It is definitely worth traveling from Chicago area! I am so happy to find a place that I can trust! It took four years to land on a great one. Before finding him, I went to two different places with a pain and all they did was to take bunch of X-rays, comprehensive evaluation and send me home saying that I need crowns, replacement of many fillings, tongue exercises (which are not covered by insurance). It was really sad to be left untreated and going through many X-Rays, as well as a comprehensive evaluation without emergency pain treatments. You can't imagine the estimated bills I got! Finally, we found an honorable and ethical doctor. Thank you, Great Smile Deerfield!

Dr. Tekdogan has been my dentist for over 20 years both at his Nebraska office and his Illinois office. Dr. Tekdogan is patient, understanding, and respected my concerns as a patient with a huge fear of dental work.
