We had a very painful situation and they worked hard to fit us in their schedule.

I was referred here for a root canal by my dentist. They refused to bill my insurance company until after the procedure & told me I had to pay for the service out of pocket and they would "reimburse" me once my insurance paid them. I called my insurance company and they said there is absolutely no reason for them to not bill ahead of time. I was put off by this and chose to go elsewhere. I would not recommend a place that refuses to bill your insurance company until after services. This is your job, quite literally, to work with insurance companies and to me it sounds like a scam to charge both insured and insurance for a procedure.

STAY AWAY!!! They charge you $300 for a 'consultation' where they tell you they won't know if a root canal will work until they actually start doing it. Then they charge way more than the initial estimate. Not trustworthy.

I could not say enough amazing things about the people that work there or the work that they do. Dr. Saylor and his team treated me so well and were so patient and kind with my never-ending list of questions. While I certainly hope I never have to go back, if I have any other root canal issues, that's where I will be going without question.

Terrible place! Avoid. Had to pay upfront $330 for an exam with dental insurance and Great River Endodontics never reimbursed me what they owed me. They had my insurance company send them a check directly to their office instead of to me. Promised to mail check to me the same day once they receive it from my insurance company. It's been 7 weeks still no check. Called my insurance company and they said Great River cashed it weeks ago! Company lies, gives false information, holds your reimbursement payment, assumes you're not going to pay them. Terrible customer service, never going back, canceled my appointment! Scammers!

Do not go here. They make you pay MORE than what insurance pays and then give you a refund 3 months later. Apparently, they don't trust patients or insurance companies to pay. They hold your money as blackmail so you cannot go somewhere else. Had to wait 2 months with painful tooth and Endo only there one day a week. Do not go here. I am breaking up with my dentist over this (he referred me here)

The staff make you sign your rights away. They dictate and harshly state that the doctor will need to do a tooth CT scan. Then when he looked at my tooth he knew immediately that it was cracked and he could not do a root canal. No they had to do X- rays and CT scan. It's all a scam to get $232 away from a retired senior citizen.

I have had a painful tooth a full year after a root canal performed here. I've been trying to get in for appointment for months but the schedule for the doctor that performed the original procedure is so limited (only in on Mondays!) that there has been no way for me to make it in with my work schedule. I finally asked to see another doctor and they said they would charge me a consultation fee. They were incredibly rude about it as well. I plan to start all over with another endodontist even though this will be expensive. My advice is to avoid this place!

I needed a root canal. The pain I was in was so intense I could not take it anymore. Definitely a ten! I was afraid to go to this unknown business, during covid-19, for such a scary procedure. Jamie was so caring and helped put me at ease. Dr. Saylor came in and was very nice. He figured out I thought the pain was in the wrong tooth. He gave me my options and thought the choice was better made after getting numb. That was great advice. I decided to have the root canal. I become afraid I could not breath. They gave me nitrous oxide and I got through it. It was not really that bad. Jamie gave me great instructions and I left. I was worried it still could be the wrong tooth but I was wrong. I feel better than I have for days. I am smiling. The pain is gone. What a team. I would recommend you fro sure. Thank you both. Diana VanDuinen

We found out my 9 year old son needed a root canal and they were able to get him in the next day. Everyone was very nice from the front reception to the Endodontist and everyone in between. We were told by another dentist that he would need a root canal but when he got in there, realized it wasnt that extensive. We highly highly appreciate the honesty not only because it saved us a lot of money but because it saved my son from going through more than he needed. We will definitely go back for any other similar work we need done in the future for this family of 5.

Recently, I had the unfortunate need of a root canal. Great River found an appointment for me immediately, but even more so, Dr. Karn and his staff were amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone. Thank you Dr. Karn and staff.

I had a root canal done, and for a year I still had pain on that tooth. They said the tooth next to it needs a root canal, okay I got one and I still had pain. Finally, after complaining of pain for over a year, they did a re-root canal and they missed a root. They sent me on my way and did not even tell me they missed a root..they acted as if everything was fine. I wasn't informed they missed a root until my regular dentist got the office visit notes. If they would have listened to me complain of pain, I would have saved lots of money and probably didn't even need the root canal done in the neighbor tooth if they had done the procedure correct the first time..AND I had to pay for the re-root canal. LOTS OF WASTED MONEY!!
