Everyone in the office was super friendly! As my daughter was having her teeth cleaned they let her hold 'Mr. Thristy' (the suction) and allowed her to use when needed. My daughter loved her visit! Definitely a fantastic dentist! - Britta Nicole Marshall
Great customer service. Nice people. My 5 year old wants to go back. After a bad experience last year with a different dentist, these were sweet words to a mother's ears. Thanks Dr. Wilson!!! - Katie Brodeur

Pediatric dentists promote the dental health of children as well as serve as an educational resource for parents raising children. It is recommended that a dental visit should occur within six months after the presence of the first tooth or by a child's first birthday. Early oral examination aids in the detection of tooth decay and is essential to maintaining oral health. Pediatric dentists can also help modify oral habits early on to help prevent future problems. Additionally, parents are educated on a child's at home oral care and a cavities (caries) risk assessment. Parents may also obtain information about children's finger, thumb, and pacifier habits. Pediatric dentist will also advise on diet during a child's growth and development stage to best prevent oral problems.

Pediatric dentistry is a specialized area of dentistry focused on and dedicated to the oral health of children. This ranges from infancy all the way through your childs teen years. Our pediatric dentists have vast experience and qualifications to care for the unique needs of a childs teeth, gums, and mouth throughout all the various stages of childhood, puberty and adolescence.
Children will usually begin to get their baby teeth during the first 6 months to a year of life. The American Dental Association has recommended that your child visit a pediatric dentist once their first tooth erupts or by age 1, whichever happens first. By age 6 or 7 years, your child will begin to lose these baby teeth, which will be replaced by their permanent teeth. Proper dental care is crucial in order to prevent your child from facing oral disease and decay, which can contribute to a lifetime of dental complications.
In addition to the four years of dental school that all dentists attend, childrens dentists have also completed two additional years of residency training. This training has allowed them to work with and become specialists in dentistry for infants, children, teens, and even children with special needs.
We know that children are not just small adults! They have difficulty being patient and cooperative during their dental exams. Luckily, our pediatric dentists are skilled at putting children at ease and making them feel comfortable.
