Dr. Pennington joined Great Oaks Dental in July2017. After graduatingfrom the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 2014, hecompleted a General Practice Residency at the Foundry Dental Center in Bessemer. Dr. Pennington became the Owner and Principal Dentist atGreat Oaks Dental in January of 2021.
Dr. Thrailkill joined our practice in July2012. Ellen is a 2006 graduate of Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC where she earned a BS degree in biology. She received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in May2010.
Dr. Giddings began practicing dentistry in Pickens County in 1982, following his graduation from dental school at the Medical College of Georgia in 1980, and completion of a two year general practice residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1982.

We make every effort to support you financially for the dental treatment that you need and want. Many patients prefer to keep their dental treatment costs separate from their othercreditcard charges. CareCreditis a low interest payment plan that has allowed many patients to receive the treatment that they need when they need it. Today was my first time at Great Oaks Dental, it will not be my last time there. This will now be my dentist office from here on out. From the time I walked in till the time I left they made me feel like a person and not just a number. The staff and Dr. Pennington are all wonderful. They explain everything to you in a way that you can understand. I know I will love my new Dental family. I recommend anyone that is looking for a dentist, you MUST check them out!

We love Great Oaks Dental! My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Giddings and his incredible staff for many, many years. Today, I had a chipped front tooth when I went in...I left with a wonderful smile...and beautiful front teeth. They are awesome and the most friendly staff ! Dentists are great with kids , take time to make sure you are comfortable and also understand exactly what they are doing . Work with your insurance company or have a company that will finance for you too.
