It is always my goal to help people retain their natural teeth in health and function by restoring their smile and ability to eat and speak with comfort. I find the practice of periodontics to be extremely intellectually challenging and stimulating. Even after 20 years of practice, I continue to be fascinated by the various procedures for aesthetic gum treatment, dental implants, and regenerative therapy.
I regularly attend general dental and specialty conferences at the regional and national level to learn about the best, most effective ways to improve my patients periodontal health. Additionally, I was a pre-clinical instructor in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and a clinical instructor in Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
My wife and I have been married for 20 years and we have two sons who are very active in their school sports. After work, I enjoy playing baseball, soccer, and basketball with my boys. I have been a Red Sox fan all my life, and more recently a supporter of the New England Revolution. I coach soccer and baseball, play softball, and in my leisure time, enjoy fishing, reading, and hiking.

My visit with Kathy MCGee, dental hygienists was so enjoyable today! Kathy is an amazing hygienist and a superb person! She is professional when she needs to be and truly entertaining when appropriate! I've been going to Kathy for 18 years.....she's truly the best!

My family and I have been patients at Great Hill Dental for several years and have never had a problem there. Kathy, my dental hygienist is so pleasant and is like family to my family. She's very thorough with care for our oral health and compassionate if there's anything you're concerned about with your teeth. The receptionists are all so pleasant, make it a point to learn all the patients names, find answers to any questions you might have, and very efficiently check each patient in and out. The doctors are pleasant, also very thorough, explain any problems they may discover with your teeth, gums, etc. and how to treat it. I honestly have nothing bad to say about Great Hill Dental. Oh, I can't forget to state that it's a very clean and modern facility. Update: My insurance has changed and I am very, very sad to learn that Great Hill Dental does not accept any Mass Health Plans. This forces me to find a new dentist office after being with Great Hill Dental for MANY YEARS and establishing greatly valued bonds, comfort and trust with my dental caregivers. I'm so Disappointed with whoever is responsible or actually, irresponsible with choosing not to accept Mass Health Plans.

I had a really great experience getting a root canal. I've had them before and it has not always been an easy experience but Dr Miriam Irwin was very kind, communicated really well, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way.

As a new patient, I greatly enjoyed my experience. From front of the house staff to the dental team, everyone was very welcoming. The dentist explain and showed me my results and also walked me through dental plans. I am looking forward to returning. I would highly recommend this Dentist office. Thank you.

I am not a fan of going to the dentist. When I scheduled the appointment, I did not know what to expect and was embracing for the worst. But I trust my findings on Endodontist in the Braintree area and was impressed by what I have read about Dr. Irwin. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. She made me less anxious about the process, took time to educate me about what to expect, and was professional and easy to communicate. It was painless.

Great dental office, but watch out for Dr. Goodman. All these people will try to push you into his loving arms for a "deep cleaning". Mostly unnecessary unless your gums are super inflamed. Do your homework and don't let the scare tactics get to you. When it comes to the periodontal stuff they are like used car salesmen. Stand up for yourself and think about it. They will try to get you to see him on the spot. I see this has happened to a few others based on the reviews here on Google.

I was told that I needed to come in for a consultation for an essix retainer and that the "price varies for what I need" I have never heard of this before and if someone can explain to me why the price varies, I will change my review.
