I was tempted to walk out based on the condition of the waiting room. Just awful. Every chair was ripped & torn in the same manner. How can corporate allow this third world waiting room in a relatively wealthy area of Tampa? I went to this location pre-pandemic & it never looked so nasty. Anyway, I continued with the appointment. (However, I would never take my child to this office for a few reasons) The rest of the appointment was actually wonderful. They definitely cleaned & sanitized during my appointment. The dental assistant was professional & nice. Every employee I encountered was great actually. The dentist, Amanda Boodhoo, D.D.S., was professional, attentive, & classy. How embarrassing to have that waiting room with that fabulous dentist. The only other thing is the lack of privacy in an open exam room with patients separated by a partition. I was basically facing the family member of the patient next to me. A bit awkward. I doubt this dentist will stay here long.

I have been a patient of the South Tampa Great Expressions for years. While it has been an adequate dentist overall, it has been a revolving door in the hygienist and actual dentist positions. That gets frustrating and obviously makes it hard to form a relationship with them. I went back today for another cleaning and there was yet another hygienist. I am terrible with names so I do not remember his name, but this hygienist was the nicest, most pleasant hygienist you have had in my 10 years of going there. PLEASE try to keep him. Additionally, you should also make sure you always keep the office manager, Veneta. She is, in addition to being the longest tenured person there, outstanding. Great customer service always and very efficient. Great employee. ok 1 year later and this place has gone SOOOO far down hill. not only did they lose the hygienist I was praising in the first part of this review from a year ago....they also lost their office manager, who was the only glue to this place. Now this place is awful. it is a revolving door for every position....office manager, hygienist and DENTIST. I have not had a repeat dentist in at least 4 years. and now have had 3 different hygienists in 3 visits and NOT because I saw a different one. they have ONE....and the old ones are gone. It is a terribly run office and they just can't keep people there for some reason. we are sadly looking for a new place to go, which stinks since this is so close to our house. But enough is enough. ps. they never have bleach for your teeth. I asked for some last month. they were out and said they would order some. I never heard back so I called again and they said they had some and to come in the next day to get it. But, then they called and said it was expired and they would order some and let me know when it is in. should be about a week. 5 weeks later, we ask about it and you'd think I was speaking a foreign language. they act like the conversation and their calls to ME never happened. like I said.....the place has fallen off dramatically. still no bleach as of today. and they often run late for appointments. terrible. my time is just as important as theirs. and If I ran my business like they do, I'd be out of business.

After calling at least 30 dentists for an emergency. Front tooth broke off. Got hold of Cynthia, here at Great Expressions on Bay to Bay. She was AMAZING and got me in on Monday. Dr. V and assistant Dominique went " above and beyond the call of duty" . I have a huge Pirate Festival coming up this weekend, June 11,12 ,13. Dr.V saw me on Monday. Dominique personally took the impressions to the lab. Just as she promised the finished " flipper" came in Tuesday. Appointment for Wednesday 1pm. For extraction and fitting of flipper. Now I am a BIG BABY, when it comes to injections.!! Dr.V. and Dominique were SOOO CAREFUL with me. NO PAIN WHATSOEVER!! Really, I cannot praise these folks enough!! Cannot wait to start on the whole treatment plan of fixing the rest of the disaster called " my mouth"!!! XoxoxoMWAH G Forever Pink P.S. wish I could give 10 stars!

It is a poorly run business with poor communication. The first time I went as a new patient, they were late to open 8:00am for my appointment, another man and I were waiting outside for them. I was there 2 hours and 15min, and only got X-rays and briefly saw the doctor. We scheduled a filling and cleaning for the following week. They then had to reschedule the filling to another day. The filling appointment went well, except for them trying to charge me $50 dollars more than I was told the week before. That did get fixed after I pointed it out. I had my cleaning today, the hygienist walked in late again for my 8:00 appointment. There was a random $10 fee added to my cleaning for office "infection control" that they apparently always apply. The cleaning was fine aside from water being shot up my nose and leaking down the side of my face/neck several times. Only giving it 2 stars because the doctor and one of the ladies were very nice. I won't be back.

The people that work there are nice. (BUT) $2700 for a root canal and crown. (NO THANKS!) I went South Tampa Dentistry and they did it for $800.

The front desk manager was unable/unwilling to help me resolve my insurance claim. She wouldn't even talk to the representative on the phone. She said they would put out an audit that would be done within 30 days. My insurance company said it was fraudulent for them to charge me the full amount when I should have just been charged my copay. Don't expect a great reception experience if they owe you money or are trying to get the full amount of payment from you even though you've told them at your initial and follow up visits that it is covered by your insurance. They also misfiled a claim for a quadrant of my cleaning.
