This would be a 1 star review if not for the dentist who was actually quite competent, I dont know why she continues to work here. The hygienist performed so poorly...fast....no attention to detail.....making mistakes. It was the fastest and most incomplete cleaning. You really cannot use this facility for quality cleanings. The dentist however was actually competent.

A while back, I had some dental work done. Unfortunately, there was a mistake with my insurance and it was billed and paid to the wrong insurance. I contacted the dental office to get this corrected, and they said they couldn't do anything to help me without being asked by the insurance company to return the funds to rebill it. Mind you, the insurance has sent a dozen letters and called them and spoken to them while I was ALSO on the phone, but then they tell me that they can't return the money because they've never talked to them. Oh, and they billed me for flouride that they never put on my teeth. After asking them to remove the charge, they finally did over a month later and rather than returning it to my card, they gave me a statement credit. So unless I go back, I can't get my money back. I will never. ever. go to this location again. I will go out of my way to go somewhere else. I recommend you go somewhere else too. They will charge you for stuff they never did and then "look into it" when you call to complain. Never again.

I have nerve damage and long store short require "laughing gas" to relax me enough just for the shot in my mouth. Insurance doesn't cover it but it's well worth it to spare the embarrassment. The staff seemed annoyed, had to move rooms, of course apologizing I knew it was still worth sparing further embarrassment. They didn't take me seriously when I verbalized twice I didn't feel relaxed or really if the thing was on at all. Well they found out, the whole office did when I went zero to 60 when I yelled and cried like a freaking child. My body responded to the pain enough to cause weird twitching in my shoulder I couldn't stop. They quickly jumped to turn it on...I was angry. I said NOW you're going to turn it on??? I don't need it now! Will never go back. They didn't listen to their patient. They still made me pay my out of pocket expense for the nitrogen they neglected to give me as I took the walk of shame out of the office. They don't know my story nor should they have to to treat me human. I worry how many others they treat as a number.

While the dental assistant did a very good job cleaning my teeth and the staff is wonderful.... The office is filthy for a dr office. Needs to be cleaned by professionals with bleach...

The ONLY reason I'm giving this place two stars instead of one is because the male pediatric dentist (forget his name) was phenomenal, but my overall experience was atrocious. We had been going to Dr. Jenny in Riverview who we LOVED and we were devastated when our insurance changed and they didn't accept it. I was pretty much forced to go to great expressions in Fishhawk but that was fine. I went with my 3 yr old and 5 yr old. As soon as I got there I filled out the paperwork and made sure I was able to go back with my kids. The lady at the front desk was rude and just said no. I said I wasn't letting my 3 yr old go back there completely alone with strangers. She said "well you can ask them but the answer will be no". I basically told them I'm going back or I'm walking out. They said I could go back with the 3 year old but not my 5 year old. The hygienist was super rude to me, made me get off the chair and I had to sit in the floor. As soon as we were done, as we are walking out, she said "you won't be able to go back there with him next time. This was just a courtesy." First of all, I don't believe a THREE year old should be going into a room full of strangers by himself without anyone present. However, I understand businesses have their policies and Covid changed a lot. What I'm not okay with is their approach. They were rude, extremely rude, and made me feel like I was crazy for even thinking I could go back with my very young kids. I can understand children that are much older or teenagers. But we are taking about a toddler here. I will NOT be returning. I will say the pediatric male dentist was awesome. He was thorough and super informative. He answered all my questions and was SO nice. I wish I could keep coming back because we had a very pleasant experience with him. Which also validates my previous points. I had genuine concerns about my sons teeth because of a deformity he had at birth. How in the world is a 3 year old going to explain that to a doctor? Had I not gone back there I wouldn't have been able to ask questions or see what concerns they had, if any. I know this because not a single person told me anything about my 5 yr olds teeth. I had to just assume his teeth were fine couldn't ask questions for him or anything. The rest of the staff and the dental hygienists all either hate their jobs or were all having a bad day apparently.

Don't really recommend this place. Brought me into the room an hour after my appt and I was the only one in the waiting room. The weird half rooms with half the lights out felt weird. Floors in my "room" were dirty and some sort of spilt drink stain along the wall/desk. It's a chain. The only reason they get a 2 star is because the assistant that was helping was very nice.
