Dr. Mitchell R. Cooper was born and raised in the windy city of Chicago, IL. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Oklahoma. After practicing dentistry in Chicago, Dr. Cooper and his family relocated to Scottsdale, AZ. It was at this time during 2004 that Dr. Cooper founded Grayhawk Dental Associates and developed the practice into the comfortable, welcoming, and state-of-the-art facility that it is today.
Dr. Cooper has well over two decades of experience in the field of dentistry. He has been the recipient of numerous distinctions and awards, including being named as Top Dentist by Phoenix Magazine. Dr. Cooper is a member of the American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Youll be hard pressed to find a dentist who is more passionate about their work than Dr. Cooper. From a very young age, Dr. Coopers mother recognized that he had great dexterity, a desire to care for others, an interest in fixing what was broken, and a desire to create. It is for these reasons that she encouraged Dr. Cooper to become a dentist, and her intuition about the best profession for her son could not have been better.
While Dr. Cooper went to dental school not knowing exactly what to expect, he absolutely loved it from day one and has never looked back ever since. Being a dentist enables him to serve, better the local community, get people out of pain, and give patients a reason to smile. Smile makeovers are one of Dr. Coopers favorite areas of dentistry, as he has observed that restoring a persons smile also restores their self-confidence simultaneously. One of Dr. Coopers most rewarding, yet heart-wrenching, moments of being a dentist involves caring for a patient who had been severely beaten. Her remaining teeth were shattered, but he was still able to restore her smile very carefully and strategically. The experience of seeing the patient smile after everything she had experienced was truly priceless.

Great experience. Chandler was my dental tech and was very polite and gentle. Dr. Cooper squeezed me in for an unexpected, same-day procedure which was really helpful. Overall, everyone was really personable. Will return.

My mother was having bad teeth pain over the weekend and got to the point where she couldn't even brush her teeth due to the pain. Dr Cooper called us back on a Sunday to get some information about the issue. He was able to see her the next morning and after X-rays, he got her an appt with the specialist immediately. She went directly from his office to the specialist for a root canal. He was very personable and you can tell he really cares for his patients.

I takes a long time to get a new patient appointment, but then, great dentists are rightfully, in demand. Their diagnosis and treatment is first rate, and their admin is thoroughly versed in insurance billing. Dentistry I can trust.....GREAT!!

I tried two other highly recommended dentists since moving here a year ago and had poor experiences with both. Dr. Cooper and his staff are the best. No effort to do work that isn't necessary, gentle, caring and painless. If you want a highly skilled dentist who treats conservatively, with a great staff, this is the place.

Been going to this location for all my check ups. The staff is very friendly and on top of all appointments and patients needs. Dr. Cooper himself is very humble and intelligent with his business. I continuously visit and highly recommend.

BY far the best decision I have made this year with selecting Dr. Cooper's Office as my new dentist in Scottsdale. I have never been treated with such respect and sensitivity at a dentist office or even any healthcare office/doctors. My teeth had/still have a lot of fixing to do. I had a fear of dentist, form past experiences, and stopped going for 10 years. It finally got to the point that my stains and front teeth cavities became noticeable and made me feel insecure that I decided to go to the dentist. I met Dr. Cooper first and he went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. He assured me that I was taking the steps to fix my teeth and that they will be there throughout the whole journey. My previous dentist refused to fix the cavities in my front teeth and claimed i had to spend 8-12k on Veneers. I told that to Dr. Cooper and he let me know that I did not need veneers and that they could take care of this for me first. I went back several weeks later and Dr. Chloe took on my front teeth massacre. She is an ABSOLUTE ARTIST. I tear up each time I look in the mirror. It has only been 24 hours and I cant keep smiling showing off my pearly whites. I can not thank her and Dr. Cooper enough for all they have done thus far. I am excited to continue my time at their office to fix the rest of my mouth. I finally have overcome my fear of the dentist thanks to Dr. Cooper, Dr. Chloe and their ENTIRE team. Thank you :)
