Gray Oak Family Dental is a family-owned, family-friendly practice. Our compassionate team enjoys teaching children and adults about dental care and guiding them towards a lifetime of great oral hygiene. We strive to create a comfortable and positive experience at our office and work hard to make sure everyone leaves with a smile.
Our practice was originally established in 1978 by Dr. Bill Gray, DDS, who served the Sherman community whole-heartedly for over 40 years. Dr. Gray was known to provide excellent dental care with integrity and kindness. Dr. Gray retired in early 2019 and has enjoyed spending more time with his family. He remains a good friend and mentor to our dental office.
Doctor David Firmage (Known by his patients as Doctor Dave), completed his undergraduate degree at Utah State University in Logan, UT and received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, UT. While in dental school, Dr. Firmage was recognized and received the following:
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Firmage completed a 3-year commitment in the United States Air Force, including a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency and two subsequent years of active-duty service. His advanced training and experience include dental implants, complex restorations, CAD-CAM crowns, periodontal surgeries, root canal surgeries, third molar (wisdom tooth) surgeries and IV sedation. Dr. Firmage cares deeply about his patients comfort and strives to provide an exceptional level of dental care in a calm, understanding environment. He enjoys spending time with patients to explain treatment options, answer questions and discuss concerns. Dr. Firmage is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the American Dental Association (ADA).

Dr. FIRMAGE AND STAFF ARE SO NICE ! After visiting many dentists to get implants and crowns, I knew the first moment that this would be my dentists forever. They all are professional and make sure you understand fully what they will be doing.dr. firmage is way passed five stares. He really cares !!!

They are all so patient and kind. I have a little anxiety about going to the dentist and they calmed my nerves and explained everything so I knew what to expect. Dave is so knowledgeable and personable. Staff was also very kind and helpful!!

Highly recommend Dr. Firmage! He is very informative, gentle and makes sure you are comfortable during the whole procedure. I had a wisdom tooth removed and it was the easiest tooth removal I've ever had! I also had a chip in my tooth he fixed and it looks amazing! I can smile with confidence again! Extremely happy :)

My husband and I are patients of Dr Firmage and we have had the Best care ! Both have new same day crowns.. amazing technology! My brother lives an hour away and was considering having a molar pulled. I suggested Dr Firmage for a 2nd opinion. Not only did they work him in late the next day but they stayed late and got him ready for an implant ! I can not thank them enough for their dedication to their patients! He was so pleased...
