Dr. Thi Nguyen was raised in Kent, Washington, graduating from Kentridge High School. He completed his undergraduate and post-graduate dental training at the University of Washington, where he obtained his D.D.S. degree in 2002. He has been practicing in the Lakewood area for ten years.
Dr. Nguyen is committed to comprehensive dental care, and strives to offer as well as deliver the best dental technology to his patients. To achieve this goal, he spends thousands of hours away from the office taking continuing education courses. His membership in professional organizations include: American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantology, Academy of American Anesthesiologist, and the Pierce County Dental Society.
We are especially interested in making sure all of our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first and listen to your concerns! Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide an energetic and fun atmosphere for our patients. Each member of our treatment team is a registered dental assistant and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care to assure your visit with us is a wonderful experience. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars so you can be assured you are receiving the highest level of dental treatment.
Rhonda joined Gravelly Lake Dentistry in 2014 and has been in the dental field for nearly 20 years with 15 of those as an Office Manager. She has a passion for dentistry and will help you understand your dental treatment needs along with the ever changing dynamics of your insurance plan and will work with you to maximize your benefits. Her favorite part of being with our practice is seeing how patients are treated by Dr. Nguyen and Associates as a person and not just a set of teeth and meeting all of our wonderful patients!
Being a native of Washington Rhonda enjoys hiking, gardening, taking road trips and going to the beach. She also enjoys home interior projects, cooking, baking and spending time with her family and three boys.
Hello, my name is Tim. I spent 7 years in the army. I have worked at Gravelly Lake Dentistry for 9 years and still enjoy doing my job for almost 13 years now. I take pride in my work and want to make every patient in the office feel comfortable. I like to play softball on the weekends in my off time and for the most part just try to stay busy.

My kids had a horrible experience here! The communication sucks!!!The dental assistants are rude and so is the front desk lady! This place is NOT kid friendly. My kids were suppose to be sedated and numbed but it was not properly done. My kids felt EVERYTHING and remember EVERYTHING. They are rough. They don't listen when the kid tells them they can feel everything and they are in pain. WILL NEVER TAKE MY KIDS THERE AGAIN.

My teen had her wisdom teeth removed a few weeks back and had a terrible experience. They didn't give me all the post op care info and I've had to call back numerous times to ask questions that should have been given. Not to mention they literally never answer the phone. I would never go back to this establishment.

Had my wisdom teeth removed here on Thursday. I just wanted to say i walked in feeling anxious & anxiety level way up high. But after the care from the Gravelly lake dentistry I felt so much comfortable. The Staffs & workers here are so KIND & amazing. Warm & welcoming, especially the lady working front desk! Thank you for being so great. 10/10 would recommend.

Had my wisdom teeth removed here last week and it was a better experience than I even hoped for. I was extremely nervous but they made sure I was comfortable and calm before my procedure. Healing is going pretty quick and comfy at home now as well. The staff is so kind, warm and welcoming. Definitely would recommend this place.

My husband had 3 teeth extracted. The staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He stated everyone was very professional. The office is clean and smells great. Will recommend them to everyone. Thank you so much for the great care,!!!!

Went to get my wisdom teeth pulled from here along with my little brother . Had a lot of anxiety both of us but the staff made us feel calm . They also gave me a blanket and had a tv above my chair so that helped me relaxed . Me and my little brother were pretty emotional afterwards but it was funny . Thankyou

So I set up a appointment a month ago for a tooth to get pulled, so they not only scheduled me for a Wednesday which is a day they are closed but also on a Wednesday that falls on veterans day. Someone obviously messed up on the schedule. So now I have to be in pain even longer.

Very impressed with this place Tim the dental assistant was super sweet help me understood all the post op instructions for my sister everyone worked really hard together to take care of my sister. You can tell they care. I personally am a dental assistant at another office and i was very impressed with the outcome of the end results as i say in the xrays. I would reccomend this place to others they seem more about the quality then the quantity which people should value the time they take. Root canals are time consuming and are not easy. Its Also nice they have sedation options and such. Just want to thank you all for taking care of Natasha it means a lot to me and her. Her tooth is restored. I hope others see the real vaule in your work you guys deserve more credit then 3 stars seriously it may take time but you should make it a goal or insetive for your employees cuz they deserve to hear that they are awesome. Anywho thank you again we appreciate you guys grealty

Recently had my wisdom removed recently. Really liked the person who looked at my teeth and removed them. Didn't really like the receptionist. Blonde lady was rude. Asked her a question completely ignored me and acted like I wasn't even there. Lady was very rude! Both times i went i didnt like her. She has very bad costumer service.

I had my teeth removed here. I am on disability, so other than the 1300 for sedation, it was covered by insurance. I bring this up because I would guess that the difference in reviews is connected to how well they get paid for the person... state insurance doesn't pay well. Anyway... the office staff was rude to me about 90% of the time, and usually wouldn't return my calls. The nursing staff and dentist were kind to me. The surgeries went well and I'm healing well. I had issues both times with the stitches not coming out and once it gets to around the 2 week mark they were really irritating my gums and I had to find a way to get them out myself. The first time, I made and appointment but they told me I had to wait until the following week for them to have time, (3 weeks post surgery), so I cut them out myself. I'm now about two weeks out from my second surgery and just cut the last of my stitches out, since once again they wouldn't even call me back... and I'm glad to never need to go back. I'm giving it 3 stars because the dentist and medical staff deserve credit here too, but overall I was very disappointed with this place. Update: I'm in the process of having my dentures made and have been told that normally the dentist removing the teeth with smooth out the bone so that dentures fit better, and this did not happen in my case.

I moved out of state and had to find a new dentist. Dr. Nguyen did extensive surgery including bone graft and six implant posts. I have a recognized extreme dental phobia, and he treated me with absolute care and compassion. Since I have been searching for a new dentist here on my new state, EVERY ONE OF THEM COMPLIMENTED on the excellent work he did. My dentist that I decided to go with, can't get over how perfect, absolutely perfect his work was. She is very impressed.
