Grateful dental is exceptional, Dr Teri is so caring and gentle. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I am a long time patient of Dr Addonna and I am so glad I decided to stay upon his retirement.

I would be leaving 5 stars if it wasn't for my experience with the receptionist. To be chastised and bullied upon calling to cancel an appointment is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. That person is better suited for employment at a used car dealership or as a debt collector...Not that it's anyone's business (particularly his) when it comes down to it but I had to reschedule an appointment due to my PCP scheduling a specialist appt at the same day and time. I was notified early evening Friday so I had to call Monday morning (day of my appt). I explained this when I called, as I'm losing my health insurance and can't wait for the next specialist opening. Still, I was repeatedly reminded that this was an hour and a half appointment and was the recipient of negative comments while waiting for him to give me a new date and time. I was shocked and remember thinking "is this how the dentist wants him to be interacting with patients?!"...Today I'm sick. I dreaded calling given the previous experience. I decided to just cancel and inform him that I would call back to reschedule. Then I would avoid the uncomfortable conversation-not so much conversation but him repeatedly saying the same things to me amidst some silence and me asking again if I could reschedule- while awaiting a new date and time. Instead I was immediately reminded of the hour and a half length of the appointment, that I had rescheduled this once before, the dentist now won't be working for an hour and a half, etc. I again explained the circumstances of the last cancellation and today's (it's obvious that I'm sick, I sound sick) and I finally asked him what he would like me to do since he just kept saying the same statements repeatedly. He replied that he wanted me to keep my appointments as planned, I agreed this was the objective however due to circumstances out of my control the plans hadn't worked as hoped. This conversation was absurd. I'm sick and my head is half floating so looking back I wouldn't of even engaged in it if I was fully minded. He continued and made mention of how I am a new patient and now I'm cancelling twice. I said he could make me not a patient at all then and he was more than happy to honor this request. Not sure I would've gotten off the phone otherwise unless I just hung up. Since Im sick and stuck in bed while supposed to be at an appointment I have plenty of time to document my experience. I'm not sure who people think they are sometimes or why they think they can be demeaning towards others but I don't need that from a dentist office. Isn't there an office policy to be implemented? Send me a cancelled appt fee if necessary but nagging people on the phone with no objective other than to chastise, forget it. I will be driving back to my dentist over an hour away for the $1200+ of dental work that needs to be done. I guess the drive is worth it.

I used to say that Grateful Dental was my favorite dentistry because Rob the receptionist is a LEGEND. I'm not kidding, he is something special. However after several appointments I came to realize that it's not just Rob, Grateful Dental is the fastest, friendliest, and least stressful experience I have to ever visited. Thank you so much Dr. Terry for making my mouth perfect again!!
