Dr. Michael Colangelosdreams of being a dentist began as a small child. Hehad a phenomenal dentist, and he told his parents that when he grew up he was going to be just like that dentist. He worked hard and in 2007 heearned his dental degree fromIndiana University. Throughout his four-year tenure, he was the president of his class and received numerous awards in academics, professionalism and patient care. In September of 2007 his dreams came true when he purchasedGrapevine Dental.
His vision for Grapevine Dental isto provide the best general and cosmetic dental care in Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, and the entire DFW region. He strongly believes that coming to the dentist should be a pleasant experience and no one shouldeverhave to be afraid of the dentist.
A strong believer in furthering his dental education, Dr. Colangelo began offeringInvisalignin 2008 and, after attending theCalifornia Implant Institute, began offeringdental implantsin 2009. He has since attended numerous dental conferences the most recent ones being a week-long live implant continuum in May of 2018 and a 3D guided surgery course in early 2019. He believes this commitment to further education is vital because it allows him to better serve the needs of his patients.
Dr. Colangelo is a member of both theTexas Dental Associationand theAmerican Dental Association. For 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 he was selected by his peers for topDentists and was featured in both Fort Worth Magazine and Southlake Style. To fulfill his strong sense of commitment to the community, he has twice organized adental extractionclinic withDr. BrownfromNorthern Texas Facial and Oral Surgery. In this clinic, Dr. Colangelo offeredfree teeth extractionsand treatment planning for members of the community in need.
Dr. Danesa Nunez is a skilled dentist who is committed to providing high-quality care and comfort to her patients. Along with her prior experience, she also brings a passionate attitude and enthusiastic spirit to Grapevine Dental. She prioritizes her strong communication skills with her patients to educate them about their oral hygiene which will benefit their overall health.
Dr. Nunez achieved her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina in 2014. Following undergraduate education, she proceeded to obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2021. While attending the Missouri School of Dentistry, she was a Student Ambassador, a member of Delta Sigma Delta, and part of the Fundraising Chair for the Student National Dental Association.
Madison was born and raised in Texas and earned her education at Tarrant County College. She joined the Grapevine Dental family in November of 2016 and supports Dr. Colangelo during all types of dental procedures.
She's a huge bundle of sunshine at the office and is quick to make sure everyone's day starts off right. As as assistant, one of Madison's greatest strengths is making sure that our patients feel calm and comfortable while they are visiting us.
Spending time with friends and family is my most favorite thing to do in my spare time. My pride and joy is my dapple dachshund Bella, she just turned four in May. She is treated like my child. I also love being outdoors and hiking whenever I get the chance to travel outside of Texas. I enjoy spending time on the lake.
Debras hometown of Batson, TX is a very small town about halfway between Houston and Beaumont. She attended Lamar University to earn her dental hygiene degree and started working at Grapevine Dental in 2006.
I enjoy my co-workers. We are a family here. I have loved getting to know the patients; most of them have been patients for much of their lives. I try to give the best care and information that can help them in the day-to-day care of their oral health.
Originally hailing from Mesquite, TX, Emara graduated from Mesquite High School. Go Skeeters! She went on to graduate from Texas Woman's University with her Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene and joined the Grapevine Dental team in 2014.
Emara married her high school sweetheart, and they have a one-year-old son. Together, they love to travel and spend valuable time together. You can also find Emara expressing her creativity by photographing her son her favorite subject.

I've been a patient of Dr. Colangelo's for quite a few years now, and I've only had great experiences every visit. The staff at Grapevine Dental is so kind and genuinely cares which is so refreshing, and they provide such great care and are so professional in person or on the phone. My whole family gets dental care here and we've never had any issues, in fact it's always been so easy, especially with scheduling. I'm thankful to be receiving care from such a wonderful team!

I've been visiting Dr. Colangelo at grapevine dental for many years now, and I've always received excellent care. The staff always greet me by name, and are happy to have me in the office. The dental care is superb, and the staff have gone the extra mile to ensure i never leave the office with any issues. I wouldn't get my dental work done anywhere else!

I've been going to Grapevine dental for about 18 years. The receptionist are welcoming and polite. My dental hygienist is amazing! She is super sweet. I trust her completely and always feel that my teeth cleanings are nothing less than superb. Dr. Colangelo is very kind. He always greets me with a smile. It is obvious he is passionate about his work and cares for his patients.

I have the pleasure of having Dr. Awesome as a dentist. Dr. Colangelo is by far the best dentist I have ever had. He has resolved every issue I have had and is very knowledgeable. My hygienist is fantastic ,and his entire staff is friendly and capable. I highly recommend Grapevine Dental , Dr. Colangelo and his entire staff.

Had issues with Humana. Dentist marked wrong box in bill and i was set up for pnly 30% payment vs fully paid. I had to go home and call Humana. This has happened three times now with Humana. Will drop them as soon as i can. Also will get new dentist

I have been a patient at Grapevine Dental for decades, and only have great things to say about my experiences with them. They have always treated me with respect and provided great dental services, both in preventative care (cleanings) and restorative work (fillings and implants). The front office has always been friendly and worked around my scheduling needs. I would highly recommend their services to any and all ages. I currently travel over 2 hours roundtrip for their services, because I would not even think about going anywhere else. Always a 5-star experience.

When I first moved to DFW I went to a dentist who wanted to fill 7 "cavities" and I decided to get a second opinion. Thank goodness I did! Went to Grapevine Dental and was told only 2 teeth needed work and I have gone to anyone since! They were they ones who recommended us to a wonderful pediatric dentist, my husband goes here and I would recommend to anyone else looking for a dentist! Great people here!

Hands down the best dentist I've been to. All the staff is super friendly, they greet me by name, and are efficient. I feel like Dr, Colangelo doesn't just try to slap a band aid on my teeth and call it good, he tries to promote the longevity of my teeth. Awesome service and they give you headphones so you can listen to music instead of drilling and other ungodly sounds that occur when having dental work done. My only gripe is the god awful entrance to the parking lot that my car bottoms out on every time!

I'm 53 years old. I've had my teeth cleaned many times and this week it was different. My teeth have never been this clean, like they were cleaned this week. The dental hygienist is one of a kind. A perfectionist. And I hope she will be able to clean my teeth from here on out.

Dr. Colangelo and co. are a great team, and have been happy going to them for more than 5 years now. The team is extremely friendly, very low turnover, very clean office, and I love that I have the same dental hygienist ever time. Very honest, and never recommend expensive dental work just for the sake of it. Highly recommend!

This rating is SOLELY for the billing staff. Every single time we have had a procedure other than a cleaning, we have been asked to pay an estimate that is too high. Then, it will take several phone calls to get the money refunded, because they will never proactively reach out to you. This latest time, the claim was processed on April 26. On May 18, I called to ask about my refund, and they said they have not received the EOBs from Cigna. When I called Cigna, they said that they sent the EOBs to the dental office at the same time they sent it to us, meaning the office had them for 3 weeks at that point. I was explicitly told that even though I had the EOBs, they could not process my refund until they received payment from the insurance company, essentially meaning that they were holding my money hostage over something I have no control over. The best part? Cigna confirmed that the office already cashed the check from the insurance company, and yet somehow I'm still waiting for my refund! It is such a shame that the billing staff is either unwilling or unable to treat patients with respect and handle billing in a timely manner. Although I have visited doctors in the past that have occasionally provided estimates that were either too high or too low (that's why they're called "estimates"), I have never been a patient somewhere where they consistently get it wrong, and ALWAYS in their favor. The rest of the staff is absolutely fantastic. I have sat with several of the hygienists, and they are the most careful, gentle, and patient individuals of any dentist I've been to. Dr. Colangelo is also great. But it's not fair to unjustly hold money they have no right to, time after time, until I'm forced to beg. It's no way to treat a person.

Dr. Colangelo and his team are amazing! Not only are they professional and courteous but as someone who suffers from dental anxiety, they always put me at ease and are so patient and kind. Dr. Colangelo frequently checks to make sure you're feeling okay and not experiencing any discomfort. He also takes his time to explain procedures and your options for treatment which I appreciate so much! All the staff are so personable and welcoming. Also, the most amazing thing I experienced was when Dr. Colangelo removed the fluoride stain off my front tooth after completing my Invisalign. I have had that stain since I was a child & in a matter of minutes he was able to remove it!! I'm so incredibly happy with my Invisalign results and so much more confident about my smile thanks to Grapevine Dental. You can't put a price on that! I highly recommend this office!!

Dr. Colangelo and his team are absolutely stellar! Always exceptionally professional yet personable and friendly. I experienced Dr. Colangelo to be wonderfully accommodating with my Invisalign treatment to ensure that I would be finished with my trays before my upcoming wedding. I don't often leave public reviews, but I would highly recommend Grapevine Dental to anyone.

Dr. Colangelo and his whole staff have been wonderful to work with! They are very knowledgeable and make you feel at ease during the dental procedure. The staff all seem happy and like they genuinely enjoy what they do which makes your visit an enjoyable one. They have an x-ray system that doesn't hurt your mouth, which is huge for me! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality dental care.
