Dr. Michael Pirayou earned a Bachelor of Science in political science as well as his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University; New York, NY.Dr. Pirayou is recently married and recently relocated from the East Coast after living in New York for eight years. On his days off, he and his wife enjoy hiking, watching sitcoms, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Pirayou was born and raised in the Bay Area and is a big fan of the San Jose Sharks and 49ers. His favorite TV shows are Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, MASH, and The Office.

While everyone is super nice, etc. they aren't very good with timem anagement. I went in to get a crown put on and it took almost an hour. 80% of that time was waiting for the doctor. This has happened more than once. Even when you go in for a cleaning and they bring you back to your chair they aren't ready for the cleaning. Other offices already have everything set up and ready to go. It's like they always forget something and leave you waiting. Once this crown gets put in I won't be going back.

This practice only covers their work 6 months for fillings and 1 year for crowns. It's unfortunate to see they do not stand behind their work. For some perspective most places will cover their work for several years. If you dig deep enough you'll see that this company already had to rebrand a few years ago for sketchy practices and many complaints.

First of all, everyone at Grant Rd dental has always been very kind and helpful to me, and I had a very good experience while going through the procedures. My problems began when I came home after getting a temporary crown, it got infected and I went through a lot of pain having to constantly take ibuprofen to relieve it. The doctor prescribed medication, which helped, but when the time came to place the actual crowns, one of them didn't fit, and had to be sent back for modification. We had to reschedule to place it on another date, but then I receieved a phone call informing that my crown still wasn't ready, so they had to cancel that appointment. That was July 14th, and now over three months later I still haven't heard anything, even though according to my treatment plan I still have a lot of work to be done. Their call center aren't even open the same hours as the clinic, and sometimes when I call during the times they say operators would be available, nobody picks up. Now I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with this tooth, which is super sensitive and causes me pain every time I eat, and I've already paid for the whole thing. It's unfortunate because I had a very good first impression, but now I'm regretting switching from my previous dentist to this place just because they have more appointments available.

Dr. Askari is very gentle and she explains the treatment as she is working on you Nancy is her perfect match i also was introduced to NuCalm it helped me relax during the procedure i wish it would of lasted longer lol I really like the latest technology that they offer to patients.

Highly recommend!!! Super clean office, front office staff was awesome, was greeted as soon as I walked in. I had my cleaning done with Digna and I must say she did a fantastic job!! Dr. Shah went over my treatment and explained everything so thoroughly to the point where I had no questions and I'm the one who asks a million questions. I am looking forward to getting my treatment done.

After procrastinating for as long as I could, I ended up fitting in several major dental procedures over the course of 3 days. I was a new patient with a last minute appointment request and several urgent issues to address and the doctors and staff exceeded all expectations.

Just had my routine cleaning. The poor technicians with all the extra PPE...but it is what must be done. I love that they use the ultrasonic descalers instead of the traditional metal picks to clean your teeth. It is so much FASTER and more comfortable. The staff is always friendly. The techs always explain what they are doing. They show you any areas of concern on the xrays, etc. Thanks for a pleasant experience.
