Dr. Salman Malik obtained his Baccalaureate degree inBiochemistry from New York University in 1985. He was subsequently admitted to Harvard School of Dental Medicine and was awarded his degree in 1991.
As part of his residency, Dr. Malik was accepted into Stony Brook School of Medicine. He received his medical degree in 1994. The following year was spent as an intern in general surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He subsequently completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training and decided to pursue private practice.
In 1997 he moved to New Hampshire with his family. Dr. Malik passed his Board Certiication in 1999, which allowed him to become a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He also became boarded in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Malik is licensed in both Dentistry and Medicine in the state of New Hampshire. He is also certifiedin Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Dr. Malik is very involved in his community. He is currently the Secretary of the Greater Salem Dental Society. He has been a Rotarian in Londonderry since 2000 and served as its president from 2009-2010. With New York University School of Dentistry, Dr. Malik volunteers his time to train dental students and provide much needed dental care in remote areas of northern Maine. His passion is helping children with cleft lip and palate deformities. Dr. Malik has been going on missions to Mexico where he provides his surgical services to those in need.
After the diagnosis was made, Dr. Malik met with several surgeons to decide on the best treatment. They decided to remove his lower left jaw with all his teeth on that side. They also took bone from his leg and reconstructed his jaw.
It was a big surgery but he has made a full recovery. You will see that Dr. Malik has residual swelling on the left side of his face; this swelling will last for at least a year. He will eventually have dental implants to replace his missing teeth that were removed with the tumor.

I got my four wisdom teeth removed here recently and I have to say, I am so happy I chose this place. I live in Minnesota and needed it done when I came home to NH for Christmas. They were able to get me a same day consultation/surgery about a month ahead. I got there and Dr. Malik's team made me super comfortable and Dr. Malik himself was wonderful. He explained everything that was going to happen and answered all my questions. His two assistants put on Christmas music for me to help keep my spirits lifted. Waking up was the hardest part because I had an anxiety attack but I have underlying anxiety anyway so it was bound to happen. Everything went smoothly and went way beyond my expectations! Thank you Dr. Malik and your team for making me so comfortable and appreciated and less nervous during this experience! Your scrub caps were also super awesome to look at!

My daughter had all 4 wisdom teeth out here. Dr. Melik was great and so were his nurses/assistants. Will go here again for my younger daughter when the time comes.

My daughter had all 4 wisdom teeth out over Thanksgiving break, Dr. Malik and the whole staff was so great! Answered all our questions and put my daughters anxiety at ease. The procedure went well and my daughter had no swelling and only had to take ibuprofen/Tylenol for the discomfort. Her surgery was Monday morning and she was eating by the afternoon. We were very pleased with this office and highly recommend them.

Went there today for a extraction. I would have given 5 stars had they let everyone know they were behind. Dr. Malik explains things very well. His staff are great. The Dr. Is very good at what he does. I will use him again if the need were to arise.

Dr.Malik is an amazing oral surgeon. I had all four wisdom teeth taken out and I had no pain at any time after the surgery. I was very nervous before the surgery but the GSOS team made it less intimidating. If I ever need any oral surgery done again I'd go back to GSOS. Also they make sure everything is healed properly, and if there is any problems they deal with it right away. I can't give GSOS enough praise.

Beware - Billing issues. Triple check with your insurance company on coverage. I gave two stars due to billing issues. On a positive note, Dr. Malik and his team were great.

Referred for 3 removals. I have a severe phobia of dental work, but Dr Malik did a great job on my procedure, and he also gave me an extra graft because he had the extra time/materials, without any extra fee.

I brought my son here for 4-wisdom teeth that needed to be extracted. He had an underlying infection that was causing a lot of pain. Dr. Malik and his staff were all very professional and set my son's mind at ease with the entire process. We got the infection cleared up and were able to schedule the extraction during his spring break from college. The office staff was able to get the procedure covered under his health insurance. The procedure went smoothly and his recovery was good. I would most definitely recommend GS Oral Surgery to family & friends.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Malik. I had a root canal that cracked and my tooth needed to be pulled. He was able to do it quickly and I felt quick relief from the pain I was in. His staff is just as wonderful. They are a caring place. I highly recommend Dr. Malik and his staff. This is a wonderful place. No complaints what so ever!
