Dr. Salman Malik obtained his Baccalaureate degree inBiochemistry from New York University in 1985. He was subsequently admitted to Harvard School of Dental Medicine and was awarded his degree in 1991.

As part of his residency, Dr. Malik was accepted into Stony Brook School of Medicine. He received his medical degree in 1994. The following year was spent as an intern in general surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He subsequently completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training and decided to pursue private practice.

In 1997 he moved to New Hampshire with his family. Dr. Malik passed his Board Certiication in 1999, which allowed him to become a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He also became boarded in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Malik is licensed in both Dentistry and Medicine in the state of New Hampshire. He is also certifiedin Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Dr. Malik is very involved in his community. He is currently the Secretary of the Greater Salem Dental Society. He has been a Rotarian in Londonderry since 2000 and served as its president from 2009-2010. With New York University School of Dentistry, Dr. Malik volunteers his time to train dental students and provide much needed dental care in remote areas of northern Maine. His passion is helping children with cleft lip and palate deformities. Dr. Malik has been going on missions to Mexico where he provides his surgical services to those in need.

After the diagnosis was made, Dr. Malik met with several surgeons to decide on the best treatment. They decided to remove his lower left jaw with all his teeth on that side. They also took bone from his leg and reconstructed his jaw.

It was a big surgery but he has made a full recovery. You will see that Dr. Malik has residual swelling on the left side of his face; this swelling will last for at least a year. He will eventually have dental implants to replace his missing teeth that were removed with the tumor.

Dr. Malik was with me every step of this process, offering guidance, explaining all options and even under difficult timing issues finding another amazing specialist to first review one of my options. When that option wasn't practical for the situation Dr. Malik scheduled me quickly, solved my problem with skill, professionalism and compassion. Every member of his staff was welcoming, caring and positive. I feel extremely lucky to have Granite State Oral Surgery oversee my dental health.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! DON'T CARE IF YOUR CHILD IS IN PAIN. MY SON HAD TO RESCHEDULE DO TO BEING STUCK OUT OF STATE AND THEY REFUSED TO RESCHEDULE HIM FOR ANOTHER 3 WEEKS BECAUSE APPARENTLY THE DENTIST DOESN'T LIKE TO RESCHEDULE, AND INSTEAD OF AN EXTRACTION APPT. THEY WOULD ONLY DO A CONSULT WHEN HE WAS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR EXTRACTION, SO BASICALLY WAIT 3 MORE WEEKS IN PAIN THEN A FEW MORE WEEKS BECAUSE WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE. AND IT WAS NOT SAME DAY IT WAS A DAY BEFORE CANCELLATION, VERY RUDE RECEPTIONIST WITH ZERO EMPATHY. GOOD LUCK IF YOU NEED TO GO HERE THEY WILL CERTAINLY MAKE YOU SUFFER MORE THEN THE WISDOM TEETH

Went for consultation and never returned. He was rude, pushy, didn't listen. As I felt like I was pleading for him to listen about my anxiety w/ surgery he said "If someone doesn't want to come and get their teeth done, then i don't want them as a patient." He kept going on saying that but his office nonstop calls me to make an appointment after he told me of I didn't make an appointment in a week then he wasn't taking me as a patient. Really didn't sit well with me. If u have bad anxiety, he will not care and has 0 sympathy! Just "it's fine. You'll be fine." I know someone who had a similar experience, so I know it wasn't my misjudgment.

The office staff are rude and the billing department has no idea what they are doing. They threatened my 19 year old daughter that they would send her to collections because they wanted her to pay more than $25/month of a $600 balance she owed. Mind you, the balance owed was due to an error made by their own billing department!! Horrible customer service. Please take my advice and go elsewhere.

HORRIBLE billing issues. CHECK and TRIPLE check that they did pre-authorization. DO NOT take their word for it and call your insurance company. Haven't heard or received statements since 2019 and now put into collections. RIDICULOUS...choose somewhere else to go if you don't want $$$ issues.

I had a wonderful experience with Granite State Oral Surgery from start to finish. They have a great medical office, very bright and clean. Dr. Malik and his staff are very professional and friendly. I had 2 dental implants put in to hold a front upper 3 tooth bridge. Everything went exactly as planned. Great communication and I was very well informed on how the procedure will be performed. I have since had the bridge installed on the implants and haven't had any issues. I can eat normally once again thanks to Dr. Malik and his staff.

It's clear why they call it a 'practice' . None of them are professional in the least bit. Like Luke said, they gave me 2 estimates then tried to make me believe that the less expensive one would not cover my procedure. Like they put serious effort into being a quick change artist. You people really need to stop being greedy. Take care of what really matters. Also, it wouldn't hurt to go on a diet. High BMI means there's a lot of stored up fat in that gut, it's making your brain foggy and your attitude bad.

My husband scheduled an appointment to get his wisdom teeth extracted they scheduled him for two-three weeks out. They call him back on Tuesday offering him a sooner appointment for that Friday. After he accepts the appointment they tell him his insurance is out of network and they will call back with the out of network pricing. They don't and he calls back the next day to follow up, they tell him the price is around $3000 and that the insurance won't cover it, so because we couldn't afford that he cancels it. Then they charge us a $100 cancellation fee because we didn't cancel a week in advance, they only offered us the appointment 3 DAYS in advance so there was no way to possibly give a week notice and had they told us they were out of network and the out of network pricing during the initial phone call we would have gone elsewhere.

My experience has been the best here! Dr. Mailk and the assistants at this amazing place are so kind and helpful. At first I was a little worried getting my wisdom teeth out but once I knew who was working on me I wasn't worried and i was in good hands . I knew I was in good hands from the beginning. I had no pain going through the procedure and don't remember a thing. I am recovering greatly from it all. I am so great full that Granite State Oral Surgery was there to help me! I HIGHLY recommend this place for you oral surgery needs! If I could rate this place 10 stars I would.

I was referred by my Dentist to Dr. Malik for the removal of my wisdom teeth. At the initial visit, it was clear that Dr. Malik was extremely knowledgeable and was able to put my mind at ease about the procedure. The staff are all very nice and friendly and willing to accommodate. I had the procedure done and everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend Dr. Malik's office!
