Orthodontics is a family affair for Dr McDonough. He is the third orthodontist in his family and grew up in his fathers office.Dr. Aaron is passionate about orthodontics and always looking for ways to improve results and enhance the patient experience.Hes a perpetual student. He loves teaching and learning from his team, our patients, and their families.
Dr. Aarons been happily married for more than a dozenyears to his wonderful wife, and they have fourkids.They love getting out, going dancing, and traveling.Montana is a special place for the McDonoughs, and they feel like they really belong in Missoula.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

It is actually Peggy. I'm an older patient who put up with a protruding tooth for years. I took the plunge and decided I'd see if it could be fixed. Dr. McDonough was welcoming, professional and really nice, as were all the staff. I'm finished with my treatment (Invisalign) and so happy I did it. My teeth look and feel great! Thank you, thank you. Sometimes (especially older folks) think they'll just live with their problem. After this experience I think it is never too late to become a better you.

Wonderful experience every time I go in! Each dental assistance and front office member I interact with has a smile and friendly personality. They always make me feel like I belong and remember me from a prior visit. Dr. Aaron has been incredible throughout my Invisalign treatment! He is efficient, easy-going, and really wants his patients to be happy and get their best results!

I was blown away at how clean and welcoming this office was. Every single person working appeared to love their job and it was apparent that everyone was well trained and cared about each patient. I am so excited to begin the journey with my daughters braces!!! The orthodontist was extremely great with kids and Melissa his helper was just as amazing. I felt well informed of what to expect and every part of our visit was smooth, professional and organized. I am disappointed my husband missed the appointment because words just don't do justice!
