Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Dr Lucy Smith and Dr Priyanka made me feel exceedingly comfortable and confident in their skillet! They treated me as if I were a member of their extended family and outside of their professionalism they have warm personalities which always places a patient at ease. I highly recommend this dental office. Dr. Kahbody is a skilled and compassionate doctor. I was treated with kindness by everyone on staff. Every step of care was clearly explained to me. There was no pressure to upgrade service. I will return and will recommend to friends and family.

I am delighted to share my appreciation for Dr.Kahbody and her outstanding staff at Granite Bay Smiles. I have been coming for years and my teeth are getting better and better. I feel safe and cared for and look forward to my appointments. She is as warm and caring as she is skilled and professional .Her staff match her high qualities and the atmosphere is friendly and they go out of their way to meet your needs. And you get a free toothbrush pack when you leave. I love it here.

I've lived in different parts of the country and have needed a variety of dental work done- Granite Bay Smiles has been my favorite! I've been coming for several years now and just love Dr. Kahbody and the staff. They're professional and personal, making you feel at home and well cared for. My visit here was as pleasant as could be, especially for a dentist appointment! Lucy was very kind and helped me make sure I had everything taken care of for my next appointments. Misty was a great assistant to Dr Kahbody, and with the experience she has, I'm surprised she's not running the show! Misty was awesome. She was cool, and definitely knew her stuff. Dr. Kahbody did her thing. She was prompt, very informative, and helped me with some advice to assure I won't be spending a whole lot of time here in the future. Looking forward to my next visit!

Dr. Kahbody and Staff are always amazing! All of the interactions that I have had with them have been very pleasant. From the office manager Lucy to her assistants Misty, and Dr. Kahbody, everyone is very friendly and professional. Doctor Kahbody makes me comfortable and at ease. She is caring, gentle and honest. Two stars only because the receptionist was actually kind and respectful. I called and asked if there were any appointments within a short time period and I told them I had pain in my teeth while eating and that I believed I had multiple cavities. The pain was all around my mouth with made it difficult to specify although they continuously pushed me to specify a section of teeth and I did give them a couple of different answers at different times. I specifically stated that I needed to have cavities filled. The person I spoke with set up an emergency appointment for me. I have never had an emergency dental appointment and I was given no further details about what this would entail. When I arrived, I see that they are understaffed. It takes about 40 mins from my scheduled appointment time for them to see me. I proceeded to be scolded over and over rather condescendingly by both the dental assistant as well as the dentist about what an emergency appointment is supposed to entail. Evidently, they did not agree with the classification of my appointment. I did NOT ask to be seen for an emergency appointment. The dentist begrudgingly looked at my teeth while continuing to tell me that I did not have pain WHICH I DID. She was very rude the entire time she was looking at my teeth telling me "I don't see ANY cavities" after only looking at one tooth. I DID have three cavities which she realized after actually taking a look. The dentist continued to suggest that it was my fault that I was basically wasting their time. Again I reminded her that I did not ask for an emergency appointment. And she told me "it's okay" as if to say that she forgave me for my mistake LOL. I was addressed by a cutesy name repeatedly and treated like a child the entire visit. (I would not have minded being called a nickname if they were only respectful to me but after being condescended it took on a less than respectful meaning). I understand why they would be frustrated by the situation but to blame me and treat me so condescendingly left a horrible taste in my mouth. I would rather they have just explained to me the error (on THEIR part) and apologized and sent me home. But instead they took their frustration out on me. Mainly the actual dentist. I am tired of medical professionals treating their patients like they are stupid. I likely will not be returning.

Very thoughtful, professional, patient. I came with my 84 yr old father for his first visit to a dentist in this area. They took the X-rays around his wheelchair, and moved, if necessary, so he could see them. They looked at him when speaking about him. A lot of people look at me and talk about him. I appreciated their consideration. Erin was particularly pleasant and made the uncomfortable X-rays quick and even fun! All staff were easy to talk and work with! I signed myself and my husband up as well! So glad to have a new dentist! Thankyou Smiles! A+

Awful experience, just wanted to find out what would be covered by the insurance - was forced to do the unnecessary x-ray and after waiting for two hours I found out it was twice more expensive than the other dental office without insurance. Would not recommend to anyone and will never go back again.
