Dr. Bakers goal as a dentist is to provide the highest quality of dentistry in a comfortable, inviting environment. In schooling, he majored in Spanish and studied some engineering before graduating with his dental degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Going into dentistry was a perfect fit for Dr. Baker because he loves to teach and work with his hands. For him, dentistry is fun because he enjoys learning more about the newest techniques so he can provide the highest quality care to patients as if they were his own family.
Continuing education is very important to Dr. Baker. He has completed hundreds of hours and he has received advanced training in ClearCorrect, dental veneers, oral cancer screenings, and implant placement and restorations. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Hispanic Dental Association (for being fluent in the Spanish language). Dr. Bakers goal is to work with patients and educate them on their treatment needs and help them understand the care they need using images from X-rays and intraoral cameras.
Dr. Baker met his wife while attending Brigham Young University. He enjoys spending time with his family, eating at locally owned restaurants, watching movies, running, and performing dentistry. Dr. Baker always looks for ways to serve his community, is also actively involved in his church, and provides dental humanity services worldwide. Excellent dentist with excellent hygienists especially if you have phobias about dentists or drills like I do. I have been going to Grand Trails Dental for about 3 years now and have lived in the area about 7 years. When my husband and I first moved to the area, we tried multiple dentists off of "Best of The Woodlands List" and they were absolutely terrible. Out of respect for the offices, I won't state the names. I had a built-in retainer fixed three times and paid everytime it popped -off within a year. I have had this built-in retained since I was 16yrs and never had it come-off like that. I gave-up on that office with their "nickel and diming" approach and inability to fix my retainer and went to Grand Trails Dental. Dr. Baker was the 4th dentist we tried. He fixed my retainer three years ago in my first appointment, no issues since. He also just did several fillings on my teeth. I was nervous as I had a filling before at one of the other offices and I actually felt the pain from the drill and the composite took months to wear down and affected my bite. With Dr. Baker I felt no pain and he tested my bite 5 times with the articulating paper (I counted) to ensure that everything felt comfortable. He's done a lot of composite work now in my mouth and he's just excellent at it. It honestly was like I didn't even get 4 fillings done. I walked out and went back to work with no issues. I actually feel comfortable going to the dentist again. It is such a nice and refreshing change. I highly recommend Dr. Baker and his team.

I am so happy with this office. They don't try to push extra procedures. They are laid back, but they do a good job. They get my teeth really clean. The whole staff is funny and pleasant. It makes it fun to go to the dentist.

Place is nice and all but make sure you read the disclaimer when they give you an estimate . You will end up paying more than what they say you will. I paid 600 they said my insurance would co er the balance but now I still owe 700

Last week I had my first visit with Dr. Baker. People my age have "dental issues" from childhood. My former very patient dentist retired, and several of my wife's friends recommended Dr. Baker. The bonus to this first appointment was - Shannon! She was the dental hygienist who was so unfortunate as to have been assigned - me. This woman alleviated all my fears and apprehensions - she's wonderful! Shannon is very patient, very professional and very informative. So, if you need a dental hygienist, do yourself an absolute favor, and go see Shannon. And Dr. Baker is one of those people who when you meet him, you instantly trust him. What a relief! I will be back!

Dr. Baker, Dr. Sosa and the entire dental team and staff at Grand Trails Dental are fantastic! They are all friendly and seem to genuinely care. Both Dr. Baker and Dr. Sosa do a great job explaining what is going on with my dental care and have never made me feel like they were rushing. The hygienists take their time and do quality routine cleanings and always want to make sure I am comfortable. The administrative support staff always communicates effectively and efficiently. If they say they will return a call, they do, and it is usually the same day. I am extremely pleased with the care I receive at Grand Trails Dental.

If I leave Texas, I will vacay here for dental appointments (and see family too)! That's how much I appreciate Dr. Baker, his staff and how they treat me. Their offices are always CLEAN. The staff is attentive and caring. They all want a sometimes unpleasant event to be a positive experience. Not just in talk, but in action as well. Dr. Baker himself, what can I say? He knows his stuff! That alone is really, really comforting. As I have gotten older, I've realized how important it is for your doctor to see you as a person and how his/her confidence affects your belief in them and draw you to return to their practice. It's a definite win-win at Dr. Baker's office !
