My son has been coming here and has had Dr. Winnie as his dentist pretty much his whole life, he's almost 14. He loves coming here, the staff are always so nice and take great care of him. He has never felt scared or nervous about a visit to the dentist.

We were on vacation when our 4 yr old woke up with severe tooth pain. This is not how we wanted to start or vacation but Dr Winnie's team was amazing and took very good care of my baby. I'm very thankful for their willing to work us in, diagnose and create a treatment plan!! Your tiny patient from Arkansas is home and all is well. Thanks so much!

Arrived for my 4 year olds first dentist appointment, that took several months to just get in for, and I was turned away and told to leave because I had my 2 year old. Not only was I never told that he wasn't allowed, (never received a phone call or anything but a text reminder for the appt), but he had been with me at my 10 and 8 year olds appointment 6 months before that, along with my 4 year old. I was told the only way I could stay was if I let my 4 year old go back by himself! This office used to be great, and has gone way downhill with new ridiculous rules that they never inform you of before hand. They act like babysitters grow on trees, and that it's absolutely ridiculous to not have access to one. And then blamed me for having to leave, even though I had no idea they didn't want my toddler there. I removed all of my kids from their office, and found a new pediatric dentist who thought it was absolutely ridiculous that I had been told my toddler couldn't come, and who welcomed us all with open arms. Do not waste your time here!

I do not recommend. We went to our first visit. Received a phone call the next day as promised. Then was told she would be in contact to set everything up for my child's tooth in 4-5 days. Never received a phone call. A week later I called and got no answer. 2 week later I called and left a message still no call. I called 3 days back to back leaving messages explaining my child was in severe pain. No call back. When I finally got someone she rushed off the phone saying she would call me back at 2:00 still no call back. I changed dentists they had my child in on the next business day and schedule to fix tooth 2 days later.

I had an appointment for two of my young sons' (ages 6 & 7) cavities to be filled. When I got there only I could go back with one of my sons at a time while my other son had to wait in the waiting room by HIMSELF and then they had to switch. Like what?! No one told me this would have been the case and I would have never scheduled it that way. It's not the only issue I have with them but another is the fact that we usually end up waiting at least 30 mins to an hour just to get our appointment started. I don't have time for that.

I have heard many great things from my step sons which both have gone here. They both say she is so nice. One of which was just there two weeks ago. Our youngest is almost 2 and we noticed 3 of his new teeth one of his FRONT and same side BOTTOM and TOP molars are showing holes/ cavities. I called about this immediately when i saw it in May scared but was told he would be ok. They said yes breastfeeding at night can cause this and I would have to wait till August 18th for an appointment. To get him at same place as his step brothers I asked and she said he would be fine to wait since he isnt in pain. Our appointment is next Wednesday finally. I get a call me thinking it is for confirmation. Nope lady calls and says cause of "covid" they are seeing NO NEW patients... seems like me scheduling back in May should have not made me "new" I am more like patiently waiting on one to join the two already coming there. If my two year was in any way sick so would his brother be that was just there last week. This is completely terrible handling of an appointment they made 3 months ago that i patiently waited on .... To now leave my baby with me having to try to get him in somewhere that may not be doing new as of now either but would have gladly taken him back in May when we became a new patient with them . Not next week. We should have been added in the day they said yes we will see him in three months. I am so upset ....

Scheduled all three of my children with Dr. Winnie.. My son who has severe enamel hypoplasia and tooth loss had his appointment canceled the morning of the appointment, which was scheduled for 8:30... Because of staffing issues. Told us to call back and reschedule.. We did and the receptionist cancelled all three of their appointments due to then being new patients and covid. Why tell us to reschedule in the first place? Why cancel THE MORNING OF? If this is how they handle patients.. No thank you.

I've been looking for a new dentist for my two children, ages 10 and 15. I called here and the receptionist said they do not take any new patients over the age of 8 years of age. I've never heard anything like this. I've also read the reviews from here. Maybe we are just better off going somewhere else anyways.

I DO NOT recommend Grand Strand Pediatric Dentistry. They are very unprofessional. They cancelled my sons first dentist appointment and filled his spot with a different patient. All because I got a new phone number and never received the Confirmation call. I showed up for my appointment, 20 minutes early at that, with a newborn and my toddler to be told that because they couldn't get ahold of me they cancelled his appointment. VERY disappointed that I waited 3 months for this appointment to get him in and got turned away. If this is how they treat their new patients, I recommend you find another dentist!

I have been going to this dentist for years. My youngest has had a lot of dental work. I have an older son who is scared of the dentist and all the sudden does not want to go. My husband took them out of school for an appointment and to my husbands embarrassment the boys would not get out of the car. He tried everything. The youngest was doing what big brother was doing. My oldest has sensory issues and so the dentist can be tough. I got aletter saying we are dismissed from the practice. You would think that a place that cares for patients and not just money would not take such measures. I am appalled that they took it that far. What ever you do don't miss an appointment.

Called to get my two kids in as NEW patients and they wouldn't take them on the same day for there first appointment because they only take 4 new patients a day! I'm sorry but no matter how you look at it you are getting 4 new ones that day with my two plus two more. They are the only dentist that does that and it's stupid ! They won't get my business and parents who have crazy schedules like me only have certain days off and need them to be the same day !!

I have had a wonderful experience with Dr.Winnie and her entire team!We joined as new patients and they really took their time getting to know is and our kids. We didnt feel rushed. They do great with scheduling and making sure you can get in at a reasonable time! My 7 year old had his first cavity and I was very thankful and impressed with how the entire process was handled It was not a traumatic experience thanks to Dr.Winnies awesome personality and her kind professional team!
