If you need extra help for anxiety during your procedure, Dr. Malin can assist you using the revolutionary NuCalm system. My entire experience (since March of 2022) with both Dr. Leo and Dr. Rachel have been amazing. Due to an extreme amount of anxiety, it took me years to build up the courage to even call the office let alone follow through with an appointment. From the state of the art equipment to the clean, professionally designed and well kept office, it's apparent that professional presentation is of utmost importance. Nancy is a fixture at the front desk who greets you with the warmest smile and is incredibly conscious of speaking at a tone that allows you to feel comfortable when others are seated in the waiting area; whether it be to relax your fear or indicate the total on an amount due - your information is handled with respect and privacy. Dr. Leo completed my implant surgery and was assisted by Stephanie. During the procedure, they took incredible care of me and helped to calm my nerves with detailed explanations and quick answers to any questions I had. Due largely in part to my anxiety, I did feel sick during my procedure. Dr. Leo immediately elevated my chair while Stephanie added ice packs to my chest and neck. Both Dr. Leo and Stephanie continued to chat with me...never making me feel like a burden. Of course, I felt embarrassed and ashamed, but instead Dr. Leo made conversation with my boyfriend about football and farming while Stephanie came back with a Ginger Ale. After about 15 minutes, they asked if I was comfortable to continue with the end of the procedure. Dr. Leo was amazing about keeping me informed with what had been completed and what we had yet to finish. He is very efficient in his work and his personal contributions and developments surrounding implants as well as the continued education he spreads to other professionals in the specialty makes me feel incredibly confident in his work. After the posts for my implants were placed, I began the remainder of my treatments needed with Dr. Rachel. Dr. Rachel has the most kind and gentle heart; never once did she make me feel foolish or reprimand me for not being to a dentist in several years. She is always focused on how we can best attack the plan together comfortably and continue moving forward. She is incredibly thorough in her explanations, answers your questions thoughtfully and confirms your understanding at the end of the discussion. Dr. Rachel also understands that services may sometimes have to be rearranged or shifted within the overall plan to accommodate for the patients budget. There is never any shaming or negative feelings if treatment has to be extended. In addition, she will review what she feels best according to her expertise; there is no forceful feeling to complete a procedure "just because." Dr. Rachel works very quickly with her assistant Natasha. They continue to check in with me while treatment is occurring to make sure I'm comfortable and in no pain. It's apparent both of these women have a professional relationship that requires little discussion between the two of them, each knowing their individual responsibilities to complete the services as efficiently as possible. Earlier this Summer, there was a time when the doctors had closed the office. A pain in my tooth and anxiety got the best of me and I called to see what the best option would be. Kristen and Shanna were able to get me in the next day and Shanna performed a quick exam to determine if I would need to be referred elsewhere for treatment. A little inflammation could be seen and the office was able to prescribe an antibiotic so that I could have a pain free week ahead. Shanna's sense of humor and down to Earth attitude make her so comforting to chat with. The continued compassion and sense of humor displayed by each of the staff members makes Grand River Dental an exceptional office to utilize for dental care; I could not be more honest and comfortable in referring those with dental anxieties or severe treatment needs to Dr's. I was so disappointed in this place. After almost $25,000 cash I had to go to Coulee Region Dental Implant and Surgery to try and get help with the mess Grand River did to my mouth. I should have gone to Coulee Region in the first place. Grand River is a horrible place. All those ads on tv. Makes me wonder why. Those people sure have not gone through the horror I have.

All I'll say is that it's been a couple of years and im still really angry. I was all about the no gas, all natural approach to pain management until I repeatedly said that I wasnt fully numb and was ignored. Ignored until they put yet another needle into my mouth and I literally screamed/gargeled in extreme pain. I will never trust these people with my pain ever again. It's extra embarrassing to be in extreme pain and be unable to control an audible sound, but to not even have your own room...the dividers might keep you from being seen, but you will absolutely hear people's concerns since you're in one big room. Just save yourself some money and go somewhere else.

The explanation of each procedure was very thorough and I never left with questions or pain. I spent ten years hiding my teeth, and now you won't catch me without a smile on my face!

I had my wisdom teeth out last week at Grand River Dental. I have been incredibly afraid to get this procedure done for my whole life which is why I put it off for so long. It finally became something that I could no longer avoid so I went to Grand River Dental because I really trust the dentists there to do the best job. It turns out that I was correct to trust them because they made the whole process seamless. I was in and out with four less wisdom teeth and barely any pain and no swelling (granted i was on pain killers) I was back to work the next day and minus the obvious healing curve, everything was back to normal very quickly. My wisdom teeth were fully grown in so it's possible that my procedure went smoother than someone whose teeth are not fully grown in or impacted, but even then, I would trust this team to do the best job they could to minimize the trauma from this surgery. Nothing that I was scared of happening happened and I am so grateful to this dental team!

I'm so thankful for Dr Leoand Rachel for giving me a smile I never thought I'd be able to have. I was so scared that it couldn't be done and they made it happen with a mixture of implants and crowns. Finally at 42 years old I don't have to hide my smile.

I had a front tooth that was eroding away and leaving a kind of an ugly gap between my teeth. Dr. Rachel Malin was able to fix it so good, I couldn't tell which tooth had been the bad one! I was amazed at how quick and easy she did this and the quality of the repair!

I would like to personally share my experience of Dr. Malin I had a front implant that was struck by a rock. Implant maybe done 20 years ago) It was loose and achy and I thought for sure unfixable. When I called this AM , he stated I could come right down. He worked diligently to analyze, and assess my situation. Drilling Xraying and impressions later I was able to leave with a stable tight original old implant. Story to be continued, but I just want to thank you so much for your hardwork. So greatly appreciated You really made my day

I went to Grand River dental after having lost teeth from previous dental work I had received several years ago on the east coast. The dental work from the east coast dentist consisted of putting white composite over cavities on all four quadrants (how they section off upper and lower halves of our teeth). Sounds unbelievable, I know. Not long afterwards I was overseas with the military when I developed very serious dental pain. The military dentist was stunned at the dental procedure my previous dentist had done, (he actually took off composite and scooped out cavity to show me) and then took X-rays for me to take back to the mainland with me. It had destroyed my teeth. Not feeling comfortable smiling--I had nice teeth prior to all this--and developing the habit of putting my hand over my mouth when I laughed or smiled... the loss, and disfigurement of my teeth affected me greatly. To make a long story longer.... I moved to the Midwest, and eventually I found Grand River Dental who restored my bad teeth. I would like to tell everyone that Dr Leo Malin and Dr Rachel Malin (Dr Rachel did most of my dental work) were both unbelievably professional, patient, fun-loving and did amazing work!!! You will not be disappointed with the outcome. I will hopefully have a before/after picture to post soon. I am not on social media and created this account only because I wanted others to know that if they are looking for a beautiful smile, and a talented, compassionate team to make that happen, I strongly encourage you to go to Grand River Dental! Had my first visit today. Staff were very nice, helpful, explained everything very well and did the x-rays there. So far they are offering very affordable solutions to a big problem Im having. They're in it to help and not just make money. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

I dont even know where to begin. As a dental hygienist, breaking my front teeth was the worst thing that could have happened....(with my sheer vanity, of course!) 5 years later, after many restorations, I finally found a place that was willing to help me out. My teeth were very translucent and difficult to match. Rachel and Patrick are amazing! Their (sister) assistants are so great at what they do. They both made me laugh so hard! I was so nervous, and the end result couldn't have turned out better! I'm so happy I chose Grand River and Dr Rachel! They are the best. I'm actually gonna miss them!

I recently went to Grand River Dental to have my wisdom teeth removed. It was my first time receiving services from this office. Right from the start, everyone made me feel relaxed and at home. The entire staff could not have been nicer from top to bottom and their prices are extremely affordable. I will be coming here for all of my future dentistry needs.
