Dr. Pirochta (Pir-rock-ta) is a graduate of Owosso High School in Owosso, MI. He attended Albion College where he met the love of his life, Elizabeth. They graduated from Albion College in 1985. Dr. Pirochta received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan in 1989. That same year, he also passed the dental board exams, married, moved to Grand Rapids, and began practicing dentistry.
In 1995, Dr. Pirochta received a post graduate degree in Esthetic Dentistry from Baylor University in Dallas, Texas and completed a mini residency in implant restorative dentistry. He takes countless hours of continuing dental education annually. Dr. Pirochta has been a sole practitioner for 30 years.
He has been happily married for 30 years and has two wonderful sons. Jamieson (Jamie), age 22, attends Hope College in Holland MI. Brother Cameron, age 21, attends Miami University in Oxford Ohio. Both sons graduated from Catholic Central High School in Grand Rapids and are Eagle Scouts. Dr. Pirochta is a caring, kind hearted Christian, who is approachable, takes the time to listen to his patients, and always strives to exceed his patients expectations. Dr. Pirochta is sincerely concerned with his patients overall health and strives to partner with them in their healthcare.
Dr. Kristen Kemmer is excited to welcome you to our Healthy Life Dentistry Family. At Healthy Life Dentistry we pride ourselves on building relationships with our patients - tailoring recommendations to their own specific needs. We enjoy serving with compassion and integrity; our goal is that every visit feels informative, friendly, and comfortable.
Born and raised in Bay City, Michigan, Dr. Kristen received her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at Saginaw Valley State University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
After graduation, she completed a year of advanced training at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Dr. Kristen loves to learn and stay abreast with new treatment options and technologies. She has taken advanced courses to become an Invisalign orthodontics provider, and she was very fortunate to be able to attend courses at the highly sought after Scottsdale Center for Dentistry where she attended multiple continuing education courses.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the West Michigan District Dental Society, and continues her learning locally within the LD Pankey Study Club of West Michigan. She is excited to continue learning and bringing new services to our Healthy Life Dentistry family.
Being able to use her special gift of dentistry to serve others brings much joy to Dr. Kristen, as she actively seeks out different opportunities to do so. She has volunteered as a part of a dental mission trip to Honduras, has been able to participate in a program where thousands of underserved children receive free oral health services and has been a regular participant at the Michigan Dental Association's Mission of Mercy dental events.
Her giving goes beyond dentistry as she was a mentor to a girls youth soccer team during her time in California and has been involved with multiple food pantries both in California and West Michigan. She looks forward to getting more involved with the local community and finding ways to help those in need.
Dr. Kristen and her husband, Brandon Geyer, reside in Grand Rapids with their 1 year old daughter, Emma, and 12 year old lab-mix Shelby. On the weekends they can be found exploring the local neighborhoods and sampling all of the amazing food options the city has to offer. Enjoying nearly all sports, she especially loves soccer and played on the women's varsity soccer team in college. She also enjoys yoga, reading, and spending time with loved ones.
Dr. Kristen and team are committed to educating you about your oral healthcare and making you feel welcome in our office. She loves working with patients of all ages and cannot wait to serve you at Healthy Life Dentistry.
Alyssa completed the dental assisting program at Grand Rapids Community College and has been with Healthy Life Dentistry since 2013. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, biking and spoiling her cat, Phoebe.
Anne has been working with Dr. Pirochta since 1996. She graduated from Lansing community College with an Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene and Davenport University with a Bachelors degree in Business. 'I am blessed to be working with Dr. Pirochta and the rest of our team, and to build relationships with my patients as I care for them and help them to have a healthy mouth!' Anne strives to give every patient the very best care and attention and to ensure their comfort during their professional cleanings. Anne's faith and her family are very important to her. Anne and her husband, Mike, have five children and four grandchildren. Anne also enjoys reading, gardening, and walking.
Cherie joined our team from the east part of the state in July, 2019. She comes with over 35 years of experience in all aspects of the dental profession but her passion is dental hygiene. Her two daughters, son in law and two grandchildren live in Grand Rapids and she was happy to give up driving back and forth to see them!
I am so blessed to have joined Dr. Pirochta and his wonderful team! After many years in dentistry, I am learning new ways to approach patient care and education with the oral-systemic connection. Patients receive the best care here!
Other than her passion for dentistry, Cherie prioritizes faith, family and friends. She is loving the Grand Rapids area and looks forward to experiencing all it has to offer. She also enjoys reading, walking, yoga, and biking.
Mallory has been in the dental field for 16 years. She joined Dr. Pirochta's team in 2016. 'Dr. Pirochta is an amazing dentist and treats every one of his patients and employees like family. The best part of my job is seeing how happy each and every one of our patients are when they leave the office. As soon as I started working here, I knew I was home!'
Mallory feels blessed to have married the man of her dreams, Joel. They have two beautiful children, Thea and Dash which keep them very busy Outside of the office. Going to the zoo, beach and parks are a few family favorites. Mallory enjoys spending time with her family and friends outdoors, camping, playing volleyball and gardening.
Cinda joined Healthy Life Dentistry in 2012. 'it is a pleasure to be a part of this extraordinary, state of the art dental team.' Cinda has been in the dental health profession for many years since graduating GRCC as a certified dental assistant and Ferris State University School of Allied Health Education. 'I admire the care in the commitment I see Dr. Pirochta and our team provide to each of our patients. I enjoy developing relationships with our patients that will create a confident and comfortable environment for each person when choosing their dental care.' Cinda spends her spare time with her husband Larry, three children and seven fantastic grandchildren. She enjoys golf, quilting, and reading. She and Larry are addicted Pickleball players!
Edith has been a dental assistant since 2011. She joined Healthy Life Dentistry in 2021. Edith is very passionate about her job and every day looks forward to helping patients with their dental needs. She believes a persons smile is one of their most powerful features and considers it a blessing to be a part of helping a person regain their smile and confidence.
Edith is happily married to her husband Lindsey and is a proud mother of four as well as a new grandmother. Edith loves to learn and enjoys cooking and dancing with her family. I am proud to be on the front line with Healthy Life Dentistry and Dr. Pirochta in an effort to maintain and regain our patients health and smiles!
Audra joined Healthy Life Dentistry in October 2021. Audra is in her second year as a dental administrator in addition to 5 years of experience as a public educator. Audra is a lifelong resident of the Grand Rapids area and many of her family members are still nearby.
Out of the office, Audra loves to spend time with her husband, Ryan, and their dog, Mia. Her hobbies include indoor gardening and watercolor painting. Audra cannot wait to welcome you to our Healthy Life Dentistry family!
Claire is a registered dental assistant. She completed her dental assisting program at Washtenaw Community College and has been a dental assistant for 12 years. She joined Healthy Life Dentistry in July 2021. When not working, Claire enjoys fitness, reading and spending time with her husband and two children.
