For Dr. William Sung, dentistry isnt just a job its a family business! Dr. Sungs father and two of his uncles are dentists.Dr. Sung was born and raised in California, and graduated from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California with a B.S. degree. He then went on to receive his dental degree from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. It was in Boston where he met his wife, and after practicing for several years in Massachusetts, decided to move back to her hometown of Houston, Texas. While he is still acclimating to the humidity, he has come to love and appreciate the friendly people, great food, and diverse culture that Houston has to offer.
Though there are many aspects of dentistry he enjoys, Dr. Sungs main motivation is helping others. Whether hes easing pain through a much needed dental procedure, or improving confidence with cosmetic dentistry, every patient he treats is an acknowledgement that hes achieved his lifelong dream of working in the healthcare field.He has made a lifelong commitment to learning and keeping up with the evolving field of dentistry by taking several continuing education courses each year. Dr Sung averages almost 100 hours of CE credits each year, which is over eight times the yearly requirement for a dentist in the state of Texas! He also holds a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry which is held only by 7% of all general dentists in the State of Texas. To keep up with the latest technologies, procedures, and materials, Dr. Sung is a part of several well known groups and study clubs to provide the most comprehensive care for his patients.
When you call our office youll most likely be talking with Jill, she loves helping patients understand their benefits and making their visits to the dentist more personable and enjoyable. With over 20 years of experience, she helps patients maximize their insurance benefits. She also enjoys getting to know patients and treats everyone like family. She is a proud Texan being born in Midland and growing up in the Houston/Katy area. Away from the office, Jills main hobby is running and spending time with her family. She and her husband of 17 years have two wonderful girls, who keep her busy with volleyball and gymnastics.
Kebra has been in dentistry for almost 2 years and is enjoying the interaction she gets with all the friendly patients that visit. Previously she held jobs as a elementary and middle school teacher. She loves being able to develop relationships and help patients find solutions to their problems. Originally from Wyoming, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 dogs. One of her bucket list items is to visit the National Parks of Utah (Arches & Zion) and the Grand Canyon. She also stays busy with some photography work on the side as well!
Caisy has been in dentistry for 2 years, 3 months, 22 days and 4 hours (but who's counting?) and is loving every aspect of it so far! Her favorite part is meeting people from all aspects of life and hearing about their background and stories. Originally from the Philippines, she enjoys spending her time off with her husband and dog. She also is a big dog lover and has fostered many dogs to provide a happy home for them.
Shantal has been in dentistry for 8 years and still loving the changes that have evolved. Her favorite part of dentistry is the chance to help people's motivation and joy by changing their smiles. Originally from Mexico, she enjoys traveling all over Texas with her husband Kevin finding hidden food gems. During her time off she enjoys exercising, attending bible studies at church and traveling.
Nishanth has been in dentistry for over 5 years. His favorite aspect of dentistry is the precision and technicality involved and meeting new people. He has an acute attention to detail and helps guide patients make the right choices. Originally from India, he enjoys exploring the great state of Texas on his motorcycle and spending time with his family. He also is a big fan of Iron Maiden.
Ashlynn is a recent member to the field of dentistry, she finished her training in 2020 and has developed her love for all things dental, especially interacting with patients of all ages. A born and raised Houstonian, she has lived here all her life and is proud to call this city her home. During her time off Ashlynn enjoys helping people through mission work locally and abroad as well as listening to music, dancing, and cruising.
Nusrat has been in dentistry for 6 years and loves helping people create a beautiful smile. Originally from Bangladesh, she has enjoyed traveling around Texas and has grown fond of the Riverwalk area in San Antonio. During her time off she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and staying at home reading a good book or watching movies.

I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. I thought I was dying! I called these guys around 7 pm and explained my pain I could barely talk, they told me to come in and be seen and performed the extraction right away. Great customer service they talked me through the pain and got it out! Not only that, I woke up this morning no pain from extraction! Amazing! You guys are amazing. You have a permanent patient!

So I came here initially for a consult on implants to note on this I have been to other dentist which were basically just rude and all about the money. I went here and got a total different look at what a dentist should be!!! The staff is extremely nice and explains everything thoroughly, The doctor was nice straightforward and showed many different ways we could go. I would recommend this place to anyone and think that they are a number one company as far as customer service and showing they care!!!!

Karen and Dr. Sung are absolutely AMAZING! They were extremely detailed oriented, gentle and knowledgeable. I felt so comfortable and I had no questions because they ensured I understood everything step by step before leaving the office. This was my first time here and it definitely won't be my last. I would like to thank Karen, Dr. Q & Kebra for a wonderful experience with my first visit at Grand Mission Dentistry. I always have a little bit of anxiety but I was greeted with big smiles, great customer service and patient care. Plus the technology they have in place provided a very detailed exam which was helpful when moving forward with my dental care.

Amazing place let me tell you I thought they got paid reviews and was waiting for a bad experience little did I know that they are honest nice and kind not to mentioned fast at getting what needs to be done Angelia was such a amazing persons keeping my fears of the dentists gone like fairy dust. Doctor Q is a great Denist. She is the bomb! Steps everything out with you. Can't say enough nice things about her. The staff is awesome, they are a compliment to the office. Having a great staff is a big plus for this office. All across the board from the office staff to the dental assistants. They worked with me on appointments and always found a place for me. I hate going to the Denist like most but the experiences I've had there have all been good ones. Keep up the good work!

I couldn't ask for a better group of people to help with my dental implants.... Dr. Sung and his staff.....Nishanth, Jill and kebra are like the Chick-fil-A of dentistry!!! They took care of me like i was family, & with that i believe in them COMPLETELY!! YEARSSSSSS of hiding in the shadows!!! Now, I'm FREE thanks to Dr.Sung and his superhero team!!!!!

Very good service and welcoming staff. Karen the hygienist was amazing. I had not been to the dentist in a long time so naturally I felt a bit nervous. In spite of this, Karen did a great job on my cleaning and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the process. At the end they gave me an estimate for the work I needed done and answered all my questions. Definitely recommend this place!

My 3 year old daughter recently saw Dr. Nguyen and Genevieve for her first cleaning and I was so concerned my daughter would not do well. I was wrong!! From beginning to end she (and I) had a fantastic experience! First, we waited under 5 mins to be seen. Second, Genevieve the hygienist was so nice and showed my daughter all the tools she would be using in such a fun way that my daughter was giggling and happy. Third, Dr. Nguyen was so kind, calm, and patient that my daughter was put at ease. Dr. Nguyen explained what she would be doing beforehand and my daughter enjoyed her appointment so much that has been asking to go to the dentist. Thank you Dr. Nguyen and Genevieve for an amazing first dentist trip!
