Dr. Hare says that the best thing about being a dentist is forming long-lasting relationships with his patients. Nothing makes him happier than seeing someones health and appearance improve over time thanks to a customized treatment plan he designed to meet their unique needs and goals.
My dad is an orthodontist, and growing up, I was able to witness his passion for his patients and his commitment to his work. Throughout the years, I grew more and more interested in dentistry and developed the same passion, which is what led me to dental school and eventually Grand Dental. Today, Im happy to practice in the same field as my dad while forging my own path.
Dr. Hare earned both his undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Since graduating, he has completed advanced training focused on cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, occlusion (bite alignment), dental implants, and endodontics (root canals). He maintains active memberships in both the American Dental Association and SPEAR Education.
Dr. Hare loves spending time with his wife and baby daughter as well as with his extended family, a modern-day Brady Bunch, with five siblings and nine nieces and nephews. Fun fact: Dr. Hare was a competitive swimmer at Lockport High School and a record holder in the 100-yard backstroke at UIC. A big football fan, youll find him cheering on the Bears at every opportunity.
Dr. Bice is excited to join the Grand Dental Wilmington team because he loves working with our phenomenal patients and excellent team members. His enthusiasm for dentistry and helping others is apparent from the moment you meet him; his positive energy is sure to make any lingering nerves quickly melt away.
After a knee surgery from a high school football injury, Dr. Bicewas initially drawn to be becoming an anesthesiologist. At the same time, his sister, an operating room nurse, was also recommending he become a surgeon. During his research on those 2 professions, he discoveredoral surgery. Oral surgery would be the best of both worlds because they are also trained to provide anesthesia in their dental offices. So, off he went to dental school which is the first step towards becoming an oral surgeon. During dental school, he came to realize that the best part of the experience was spending time and becoming friends with his patients. He understood that general dentists have this unique opportunity because their care happens over many visits and years of treatment. Oral surgeons mostly see people once and theyre done. It was that realization that made Dr Bice decide his focus, passion and future was going to be general dentistry!
For undergraduate school, Dr. Bice attended Northern Illinois University where he played starting defensive end for the Huskies football team. He received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. Since finishing school, he has completed continuing education in endodontics, oral surgery (including dental implant placement), restorative dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. He likes being able to provide a wide variety of services so he can help more patients. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and Illinois State Dental Society.
For Dr. Levrant, it isnt the teeth that make her excited to come to work every day, its the people! She feels blessed to be surrounded by great people every day--both her fellow team members as well as our awesome patients. Dr. Levrant is eager to get to know you and your smile.
Originally, I planned to become a Civil Engineer, but by my second year in college, I realized it wasnt for me. I had several pre-medical friends, so I began researching which branch of medicine I might like. I realized that dentistry would be the most interesting because it had already made a profound impact on my own life. I have two congenitally missing front teeth and spent a lot of time with my oral surgeon, orthodontist, and general dentist growing up, so once I actually considered dentistry as an option, it seemed like the perfect fit (and I would still get to build bridges).
Dr. Levrant began her dental career by volunteering at the IWS Childrens Clinic in Oak Park, and after graduating from Johns Hopkins University, she enrolled at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She completed a General Practice Residency immediately following graduation and joined Grand Dental nearly two years ago. Today, she stays on top of the latest breakthroughs in dentistry by maintaining memberships in the American Dental Association and Illinois State Dental Society.
Dr. Levrant is an avid reader and audiobook listener while on her long commutes. Her preference is fiction including young adult novels, science fiction and fantasy. When she isnt spending time with a good book or watching movies, she likes to hang out with her parents, two brothers, adorable niece and nephew, and her poodle mix named Sandy.
