Dr. Bice is excited to join the Grand Dental Lockport team because he loves working with our phenomenal patients and excellent team members. His enthusiasm for dentistry and helping others is apparent from the moment you meet him; his positive energy is sure to make any lingering nerves quickly melt away.
After a knee surgery from a high school football injury, Dr. Bice was initially drawn to be becoming an anesthesiologist. At the same time, his sister, an operating room nurse, was also recommending he become a surgeon. During his research on those 2 professions, he discovered oral surgery. Oral surgery would be the best of both worlds because they are also trained to provide anesthesia in their dental offices. So, off he went to dental school which is the first step towards becoming an oral surgeon. During dental school, he came to realize that the best part of the experience was spending time and becoming friends with his patients. He understood that general dentists have this unique opportunity because their care happens over many visits and years of treatment. Oral surgeons mostly see people once and theyre done. It was that realization that made Dr Bice decide his focus, passion and future was going to be general dentistry!
For undergraduate school, Dr. Bice attended Northern Illinois University where he played starting defensive end for the Huskies football team. He received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. Since finishing school, he has completed continuing education in endodontics, oral surgery (including dental implant placement), restorative dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. He likes being able to provide a wide variety of services so he can help more patients. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and Illinois State Dental Society.
Dr. David Ingallinera is a great fit for our Grand Dental Lockport team because he shares our teams passion for patient care and is driven to provide the highest quality dentistry every day. He has 25 years of dental experience and looks forward getting to know our loyal patients and serving new patients in the Lockport community.
Growing up, Dr. Dave was drawn to science. He studied biology in college intending to find a calling in a medical career. His appreciation for dentistry developed after shadowing his younger brothers orthodontist. For him, it was fascinating watching the doctor physically transform the patients teeth into a new, healthier smile. Additionally, he was privileged to experience the pure joy on the patients faces when their new smile was revealed.
Dr. Dave graduated from the University of California Riverside before enrolling at the Northwestern University Dental School. After earning his degree, he completed a general practice residency and oral surgery externship.
He achieved Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry in 2006; a distinction achieved by less than 10% of dentists in the US and Canada. To be eligible, he completed 500 hours of continuing education and passed a 400-question exam. Dr. Ingallinera says this is his proudest professional achievement to date. He also maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Dave likes to spend his weekends relaxing with his wife, Debbie, and hanging out with their teenage son, Jack. When he was younger, Dr. Dave used to play basketball and run in local marathons but that proved to be hard on the knees. Nowadays, he plays golf and enjoys any outdoor activity along the gorgeous Chicago lakefront.
Dr. Chen has been creating beautiful smiles for more than 23 years, for the past 5 years he has been providing orthodontic treatment to our patients in Lockport. He is passionate about providing orthodontic care because improving a patients smile can fundamentally change their lives for the better. He enjoys working with each patient to help them achieve their individual goals.
Dr. Chen was drawn to dentistry because he saw it would give him the unique opportunity to enhance peoples lives by improving their health and appearance at the same time. He also enjoys working with his hands every day. When it came time to choose his career, dentistry seemed like the obvious choice.
Dr. Chen began his college career in his native China, graduating from the West China University of Medical Sciences before immigrating to the U.S. and earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I've ALWAYS have had anxiety with the dentist until I started going to Grand. From the first visit, everyone every time is very welcoming. And then there's my hygienist... HE is awesome!!!

My 8 year old son had his first cavity. Dr Bice and his crew made his first filling experience the best possible. They were so kind and caring and took great care of him. I love the approach they took, making this not at all a scary experience for him. Everyone at the office is always very pleasant! New patient here, I never cared for going to the dentist and still makes me nervous but the very friendly and professional staff, were very welcoming, putting my nerves at ease! Prices seem reasonable with insurance.

It was my first time here and I couldn't have had a better experience. I told them my insurance was ending at the end of the month and they were able to get me in swiftly and make a plan to get teeth set up and squared away before it expires. Very patient with all of my questions and very understanding of my past negative experiences to put me at ease. They were even able to fill one of my cavities right after my cleaning without needing to make another appointment! They were also very transparent with pricing and kept me updated throughout the visit so I wasn't surprised when I paid the bill. Highly recommend!!!!

The staff is very helpful and want to work with you ti get the best dental care. Dental hygienist Erin is by far my favorite. She remember me and even things we talked about the last time I was there. Definitely found my forever dentist!

I give Grand Dental a 5 Stars! Dr David Ingallinera is by far one of the most intentive and accurate dentist I have ever had. Before going to Dr David I had went to a Dentist office in Joliet that turned me away, and said my teeth were to bad to fix. Grand Dental took me in with open arms and did all the nessesary surgery to take out all my bad teeth and prepare me for a brand new SMILE. So fare it's going great. I am so thankful for all the work that has been done. I did not know this was possible in a dentist office. When I come in for checkups and adjustments they are very prompt and always make sure Im comfortable and treated like family. The hygenist and dr were friendly to my daughter, however they took one xray, never even looked inside her mouth and said they cant pull her teeth and still charged me $140 to literally take an xray. If they had done an exam and cleaning ok yes i understand the charge. But that wasnt the case.

Grand Dental is the best! A couple weeks ago I had a root canal that unfortunately became severely infected. I started having excruciating pain a couple days after, and I felt like the endodontist who performed my procedure didn't care. I called Grand Dental, of which I've been a patient for a couple years now, and they got me in to see Dr. Dave that very same day. He saw me free of charge and, concerned that the infection was winning despite my oral antibiotics, referred me to the ER (my 2nd visit after the pain started) for IV antibiotics. There, despite another CT scan, it was decided that nothing was wrong (the ER doctor suggested an oral rinse for "whatever small amount of infection might be present" in a very dismissive fashion) and I was basically brushed off once again. The pain persisted and I called Grand Dental to inform them of the situation, as Dr. Dave had called to check on me and left a message the previous night. Dr. Dave personally returned my call and showed genuine concern at the lack of care I was receiving. He got me in for an emergency appointment with an oral surgeon (Dr. Bryan Bouchelion of Chicago Dental Implants, Oral and Facial Surgery) that afternoon. There, after days of suffering, Dr. Bouchelion almost immediately found an abscess that had been missed by my indifferent endodontist and during 2 separate ER visits. In the end, I lost the tooth and went through a lot of pain, but thanks to Dr. Dave and the staff of Grand Dental going to bat for me and getting me in to see Dr. Bouchelion so quickly, I'm no longer in constant agony and I'm already on my way to healing. I appreciate Grand Dental for all they did for me, and for proving there are in fact medical professionals who DO care about and follow-up with their patients. I'll continue to visit the practice going forward, and I highly recommend them if you're seeking dental care! Five stars from me, and thank you to Grand Dental for going above and beyond what I expected!
