Dr. Hare says that the best thing about being a dentist is forming long-lasting relationships with his patients. Nothing makes him happier than seeing someones health and appearance improve over time thanks to a customized treatment plan he designed to meet their unique needs and goals.
My dad is an orthodontist, and growing up, I was able to witness his passion for his patients and his commitment to his work. Throughout the years, I grew more and more interested in dentistry and developed the same passion, which is what led me to dental school and eventually Grand Dental. Dr. Hare earned both his undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Since graduating, he has completed advanced training focused on cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, occlusion (bite alignment), dental implants, and endodontics (root canals). He maintains active memberships in both the American Dental Association and SPEAR Education.
Dr. Hare loves spending time with his wife and baby daughter as well as with his extended family, a modern-day Brady Bunch, with five siblings and nine nieces and nephews. Fun fact: Dr. Hare was a competitive swimmer at Lockport High School and a record holder in the 100-yard backstroke at UIC. A big football fan, youll find him cheering on the Bears at every opportunity.
Dr. Katy Correa has been practicing dentistry for nearly 20 years, and she loves helping patients get out of pain and achieve new smiles that boost their confidence. She comes from a family of doctors, and shes proud to carry on the tradition here at Grand Dental.
My two older sisters are doctors (a cardiologist and dermatologist), and when it was time for me to decide what to study, I remember them being so passionate about their careers. So, I started to look for an option that would give me the same kind of satisfaction in the healthcare area. Dr. Katy earned her Master in Comprehensive Dentistry at Benemerita Universidad Autnoma de Puebla and practiced dentistry for 7 years in Mexico. After moving to the United States with her husband, Luis, she competed the Advanced Standing Program for Foreign Trained Doctors at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Finishing at the top of her class, she was inducted into the prestigious National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She stays on top of the latest techniques and technology in dentistry thanks to her memberships in the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
At home, Dr. Katy mostly likes to relax with her husband and their two cats. An animal lover, she supports both local and international animal rescue organizations. She plays volleyball in an adult league, and youll often find her reading a good book on the weekends.
Our new pediatric dentist, Dr. Shuran Liang, goes by Dr. Shu with his young patients. Dr. Shu loves helping patients establish a healthy relationship with oral care from the start. He is passionate about Infant Well Baby Visits and recommends that new parents bring their children in for their first dental check-up around the age of one. From babies to teens the best part of his job, is having fun with his patients and watching them grow.
Dr. Shus parents enrolled him in art classes when he was very young, sparking a creative flame that he has maintained throughout his life. He developed an interest in medicine and science growing up the child of two medical professionals; his mother was a cardiologist, and his father an orthodontist. The field of dentistry turned out to be a perfect fit combining his passion for science with his creative ability.
Dr. Shu completed his dental doctorate at the NYU College of Dentistry. Afterwards, he pursued a two-year pediatric residency at NYU Langone Dental Medicines San Diego, CA site, working closely with health providers at Rady Childrens Hospital. During his residency, he became a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Today, he is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Association, and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Continuing the theme of creativity, Dr. Shu loves hip hop and urban dance. He began breakdancing in high school and continued through college; today, he prefers to watch dance competitions instead of participating himself. He also enjoys playing video games, binge watching Netflix/Crunchyroll shows, and taking his dog, Vivi, to local dog parks.

This was my first visit/time there and all I can say is WOW!! Everyone was soooo nice! Becca the hygienist did an outstanding job at cleaning my teeth, eased my fears and sincerely listened to me and my concerns. The Dentist Dr. Hare was amazing! He's passionate about long term care with my teeth. Jesika was amazing too! Great conversations all the way around! I found my forever dental place! Update 10/24/22 This is still my favorite place! The staff is incredible. I love Dr. Hare! He cares about the health of my teeth and gums. Becca is my dental hygienist and as always she does an outstanding job. She follows up on conversations we talked about from my last visit. She truly has a passion.

The Receptionist and office personnel were very helpful.THE dental hygienist was very good and helpful.The parsdontest was great at seeing and diagnosing the problem.I highly recommend Grand Dental!

This is the Klan Headquarters Very disrespectful on the phone and the place whole staff and everyone need to be lock up because they get in there feelings when wrong like take a X-ray and take the wrong teeth out your mouth and don't cleaning them before doing it !!!!And take teeth out your mouth that perfectly ok !!!!! Team full of people who hate another color of people all Actors I NO first hand plus they do this around the world? HOW?Don't go if u BLACK they going to lie to u don't do it they will look at u in the eyes and tell u a LIE over the Phone worst They only looking for TO Scam your insurance where is the work at like real Pictures ask your self that !!

My family has been going to Grand Dental in Channahon for at least the last 7 years. I arrived today 9.1.22 for my daughter's orthodontist appointment 17 mins past her appointment time which is 2 mins past their grace period. The receptionist was calling me at the very moment my daughter was walking into the office to remind me that my daughter had an appointment which we were late for. I told her that it was her that was walking thru the door as we spoke. She went on to tell me that they were going to have to reschedule her. After I explained the circumstances that I work nights and I had to pull my daughter out of school to make it to this appointment. They said they would check with Ortho. She returned to tell me no they wouldn't be able to do it because it's a longer appointment and now it's 20 mins behind and the staff would have to work thru their lunch, it would push other patients back, they were short staffed and on top of it all rescheduled me for almost a month later. I normally would have nothing but great things to say about this office but this is the second time they have done this to me all over 2 mins past their grace period. They have thrown out giving the customer a premiere customer experience. I normally would be there before my appointment time and would still have to wait at least 15 mins and longer after my appointment before they would call my family back. So I'm not moved by their reasoning because I would be asked to understand they are running behind for the same reasons. I am thoroughly disappointed in the way I was treated today so therefore since they were unable to accommodate me and have the same compassion and understanding that they request from me when they are running behind my family of 6 will find another office that is more accommodating and understanding.

Grand Dental is a such a great office, with awesome staff! Lexi was so personable for mine and my daughters cleaning. The staff always provides a comfortable atmosphere making the experience much more laid back. They also take time to go over your treatment plan, making the best of your coverage, and answering any questions you might have!
