Grand Dental was founded by Dr. Steve Napier and Dr. Mark Kaschube, We were two young doctors who enjoyed working hard and having fun together' Dr. Steve recalls. Dr. Steve wanted to build a practice that focused on dentistry with integrity and strong commitment to the community. After 32 years of practice, Grand Dental has proven to be authentically tied to the communities it serves. In the early days, Dr. Steve coached and was a board member for the Leyden Bears Football program. Dentists have continued this tradition by coaching little league baseball and hockey teams. Our own dentals teams also regularly volunteer at community service organizations and events. Dr. Steve feels that one of the best parts of practicing dentistry is seeing generations of families. He loves finding himself in the special position of treating children as they grow into adults and then see their children as patients. In fact, one of our current Grand Dental doctors began as a patient of Dr. Steve's when she was only 3 years old. How cool is that!
Born in Mount Prospect, Dr. Steve chose to stay in Illinois for his higher education. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Steve and his wife have 3 daughters who are now in high school and college. He is an accomplished guitar player and has played at the House of Blues in Chicago and the infamous Whiskey a Go-Go in West Hollywood, California. Over the years hes had the honor to play with Kevin Cronin and Dave Amato of REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Night Ranger, Jim Peterik of Survivor and the Ides of March, and Rich Redmond, Jason Aldeans drummer!
Dr. Wells is dedicated to learning about his patients dental concerns and helping them work towards a lasting solution. For him, dentistry isnt about solving issues in the short term, it's about upgrading a patients whole life.
Dr. Wells chose dentistry because he had an aunt that was a dentist and got to spend time in her practice growing up. He knew hed end up entering the medical field, but dentistry, allowed him to build long-term relationships with his patients.
After completing his initial degree at Augustana College, Dr. Wells pursued his doctorate at Midwestern University. He continues to be passionate about pursuing continuing education and honing his skills in more complex treatments for patients. He started off focusing on root canal therapy, then progressed to dental implant training and other restorative solutions for missing teeth.
Dr. Wells wife, Paige, is also a dentist; they have two young daughters named Caroline and Quinn. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, going on walks, and traveling to new places. He is also an avid golfer; recently he started collecting rounds of golf he has played on Top 100 courses around the country.
Dr. Troy Oracko was thrilled to join the Grand Dental Aurora team in 2021 as he thrives on providing prompt, compassionate treatment to patients in need. Patients with dental emergencies or those in need of general dental treatments provide Dr. Troy the opportunity to connect with them on a personal level while alleviating dental discomfort and improving self-confidence!
Dr. Troy is originally from Crystal Lake, IL, and he attended Indiana University for undergrad education. He pursued his dental doctorate at Midwestern Dental School in Downers Grove, IL. He looks forward to mentoring with other Grand Dental doctors and specialists and pursuing continuing education courses to further expand his clinical skillset.

Very expensive. Tooth extraction! 140 for checking me and 217 for the extraction, The doctor . Didn't prescribed me any pain killer . I was on severe pain for few days before the appointment for extraction. The staff is nice . But don't go there without dental insurance ! Their prices are outrageous

Veronica, the dental hygienist, is absolutely fantastic. She is incredibly thorough, gentle, and attentive to any sensitive areas. I have been coming to her for years for these reasons and will continue to do so. Thanks again Veronica for being awesome!

Kim has fantastic customer service skills. Kim is phenomenal as a person and a hygienist. She makes the experience at the dentist very enjoyable. All of the staff at Grand Dental are very good.

The tech and staff are super friendly, and I am torn leaving low stars. But....every visit I feel like I'm being gouged for money. Owing for bills in the past when you have no way to dispute in the moment. Then when you think you're paid up, then the visit they have past dues you owe. One time my wife said she was asked for her credit card while in the chair being worked on. I get it, it's a business, but I've been going for years and have always paid. Makes you feel like number or money not as a person. That's my only complaint. The staff is so great I keep going back, but ... get the billing fixed.

Grand Dental Aurora was the most positive dental experience I've ever had. My husband has had dental services here too and was very pleased. And Orieta was just delightful! So thankful that she was the one who worked with me to get my x-rays done for my orthodontist consultation. She explained everything so thoroughly and was so kind throughout the process. I'm looking forward to working with her as I finish up this last stint of having braces!

Without a doubt, Dr Wells and his staff are exemplary people! They go above and beyond to accommodate you, your needs & your financial requirements to get you the care you need. Dr Wells is extremely knowledgeable, easy going & gentle and his staff are, hands down, the most compassionate and helpful people. I always feel comfortable with everyone here & know my procedures are necessary, cost appropriate & always in my best interest. I cannot recommend them enough!

Every single time we visit Grand Dental in Aurora,we are always treated so well. Nicole who works with billing possibly the office manager (if she is not, she should be) has helped me through so much of the billing issues and has made me feel comfortable with the money side of things. One of the nurses Denise is TOP NOTCH! She has taken care of me but the last time we were in it was for my 4 year old daughter having pain and she made my girl feel less nervous and really cared. The whole crew there really are nice people!!
