I was with this doctor for years, but I stopped going to him because I had to change my dental insurance. I had to change my dental insurance because he and another dentist charged me astronomical fees for rent dental work. These fees exhausted the yearly amount my previous dental insurance allowed. When I pleaded with my dentist to accept my new insurance so I could have a crown, Dr. Stenenger said no because he wouldn't make enough money. I was a loyal patient, and I'm the money Dr. Steneger received from me throughout the years helped keep him happy, so I don't know why he couldn't accomodate me this time and accept a little less money. I guess as with most doctors, greed got the better of him. Dear Dentist, In response to your message--and taking reviews "seriously," I take having a big space in my mouth where my 60-year-old tooth used to be and not being able to have a new tooth because you (and other dentists) charge far too much for me to be able to have a tooth. That's really the bottom line here: money. Not your acceptance--or refusal--of insurance plans. Simply put, you charge far too much (as with most doctors, dentists, and lawyers). You could most likely still make a profit by charging less, but that's not how you operate. It's really convenient to say you won't make a profit when no one can see what your "overhead" is. Yes, we had a somewhat "civil" conversation--save for when you laughed at me for going to another dentist because you wouldn't accept my insurance. Additionally, one would think that being a loyal customer might have meant something to you, that you'd be grateful I kept returning to patronize your business and helped to pay your "overhead," and that perhaps, just perhaps, you would have been able to accommodate me in this instance, and maybe you could have even given me a discount. I'm tired of people in the professional sector taking advantage of the common man. I can tell you how many people I've talked to who have had severe financial difficulties because of medical, dental, and legal bills. They lost savings, homes, and quality of life simply because they wanted to be healthy, simply because they "needed" to be healthy, simply because they needed teeth, and they had no other choice but to pay the piper. As it stands now, regarding my tooth--or lack thereof--I will have to wait until January 2023 to have my tooth replaced (most likely, much longer), over a year to replace ONE tooth. This is completely unacceptable, simply because dentists wants to charge so much for their services. America is the best country in the world, and hard-working Americans should be able to reap the benefits of living here. We should NO longer have to sacrifice the majority of our funds--and quality of life--to be healthy. As far as characterizing my reviews as "negative," that's your prerogative, but it's not the "patron," here who is at fault, it's the sub par businesses. The facts are that most businesses provide poor customer service nowadays, and most business owners overcharge people. The prevailing theme is greed, clear and simple. If I visit good businesses who treat customers right, and don't try to gouge me while doing so, I will leave good reviews, another simple fact.

I have been a patient here for almost 30 years and the staff are so polite and friendly! Always prompt (never waiting around) and great about reminders and follow up. The hygienist always makes me feel special remembering the things we talked about the previous time and asking for updates about my kids. I love that my picture is still on the wall from when I was in 6th grade
