Dr. Thomas was born and grew up in a small rural community in central West Virginia. He graduated from WVU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he was employed as a senior research technologist/molecular biologist for 5 years at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
In the fall of 1993, Dr. Thomas entered Dental school at the University of Tennessee Memphis. During his dental education, Dr. Thomas also performed dental research, presenting his findings at dental meetings in Memphis, Atlanta, San Francisco and San Antonio. Dr. Thomas graduated in June 1997 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with highest honors.
Dr. Thomas acquired an existing practice in the Surgery Center in Bristol, TN in April 2000. In June 2009, our current facility was purchased and he moved the practice to Blountville, TN. He is a member of The Gideons International, The American Dental Association, The Christian Medical & Dental Society, and The American Dental Implant Association. He and his wife Terri are also members of Charity Baptist Church of Blountville.
