Dr. Thomas was born and grew up in a small rural community in central West Virginia. He graduated from WVU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he was employed as a senior research technologist/molecular biologist for 5 years at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
In the fall of 1993, Dr. Thomas entered Dental school at the University of Tennessee Memphis. During his dental education, Dr. Thomas also performed dental research, presenting his findings at dental meetings in Memphis, Atlanta, San Francisco and San Antonio. Dr. Thomas graduated in June 1997 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with highest honors.
Dr. Thomas acquired an existing practice in the Surgery Center in Bristol, TN in April 2000. In June 2009, our current facility was purchased and he moved the practice to Blountville, TN. He is a member of The Gideons International, The American Dental Association, The Christian Medical & Dental Society, and The American Dental Implant Association. He and his wife Terri are also members of Charity Baptist Church of Blountville.

A neat clean working environment, friendly and happy employees, and an over-the-top Doctor who really cares about your health...what more do you want? Ask the Doctor about fishing and his history of playing guitars.

Having my root canal and crown the same day went very well. I've been home a few hours and I have no discomfort. LIkewise, instead of that nasty mold for my crown, they waived a wand in my mouth a few times which then "built" a model of my tooth that needed the crown. Updated technology. It messaged a device which then did the work. Dr. Thomas was very gentle and soothing. So...while 2.5 hours is a long time to be in a dental office, I don't have to go back unless there is an issue.

I am 65 years old and over the years have had a lot of dental work done. Dr. Thomas and his office staff are by far the best dental experience I have ever had! Try them and see for yourself. I guarantee your won't be disappointed!

I can't say enough good things about this office and the dentist! I was shocked and amazed by how pleasant, kind and caring and knowledgeable everyone was. Dr. Thomas is hands down the most impressive and kind dentist I've had/met since I was maybe 8 years old! My whole adult life I've avoided dental offices, but not anymore! I'll be coming here for the rest of my life for all my dental needs. And the prices? Fantastic! I've never met a dentist, doctor, etc with such a kind heart that they will truly work with you to fit your dental needs into your budget as much as possible! I would give them 100 stars if I could!! I had cavities filled, and not only did Dr. Thomas take care of those but he also went ahead and took care of the stains on my front teeth that have been destroying my confidence for years. I'm so impressed by the experience I've had here
