I was referred to Dr. Tawil by my dentist for a root canal. Having had a previous one years ago end in a lost tooth, I was apprehensive. But everything about Governors Endodontics put me at ease. Its location is serene, the facilities top notch, and most important, Dr. Tawil and his staff are first rate. They answered all of my questions/concerns, and I was in and out in one visit. And the next morning, I felt perfectly fine. I could not ask for better service. I would highly recommend Dr. Tawil to anyone in need of endodontic work.

I saw Dr. Tawil due to a fractured tooth that needed a root canal. I was very nervous (to say the least) but Dr Tawil and his staff were extremely patient, took the time to reassure me and answered all my questions. Dr Tawil is extremely knowledgeable which reassured me greatly during the procedure. I would give Governors Endodontics more than 5 stars if I could!

I was having some serious discomfort with a 10 year old root canal and after some research, I landed at Governors Endodontics. Upon entering the office, I was greeted warmly and felt very comfortable. The receptionist was so nice and approachable. After speaking with Dr. Tawil, it's clear that he is very intelligent and knowledgeable in his field of practice. He walked me through the CT scan/X-ray that was performed. He thoroughly educated me on three different possible approaches to take to treat this failed root canal. Unfortunately for me, shortly after this visit, I was moving to Charlotte and was unable to get the necessary procedure done by Dr. Tawil. I have found someone in my new city to do the procedure but if I was in Chapel Hill still, I would have 1000% been confident with Dr. Tawil to fix my root canal. Knowing that I was moving, he kindly gave me a disc copy of my scans so I could show them to a specialist in Charlotte. I'm so happy and pleased that I was able to get his professional opinion before I moved. For anyone in this area, I highly recommend going to this office!!!

I had the "pleasure" (is it ever a pleasure going to dentist?) of visiting Dr. Tawill and his office in early September due to horrible toothache's, which my regular dentist had determined was caused by a root canal issue. Dr. Tawill spent almost an hour and a half investigating, taking pictures and 3-D imaging, running all kinds of tests, and finally came to the conclusion that the pain was not caused by root canal, but by something else. While he didn't find the actual cause, he did instead find an abscess of 8mm, which he drained and treated. He then saw me for another hour-long follow up session a few days later, where he once again took images, and even texted colleagues in the health industry with questions, and finally referred me to see an oral surgeon. I must say that of all the dental visits I've been to in my entire life, this was the most pleasant. No one ever likes going to the dentist, but Dr. Tawill and his team made me feel extremely comfortable, and I have no qualms recommending them to anyone who needs an endodontic visit. Thank you so much to Dr. Tawill and his team for their great care, and going above and beyond what would be expected from a visit like this.

I had a root canal last Thursday and can not say enough about the doctor and staff at Governors Endodonics. Dr. Tawil, Hailey, and Callie are the nicest people on Earth. Absolutely zero pain or discomfort during or after the procedure. I had a previous root canal a couple of years ago and was not looking forward to another. It was not pleasant. What a different experience at Governors Endodonics! It is hard to imagine a root canal being a great experience, but it honestly was. Thank you Dr. Tawil and staff. You are wonderful!

Where is the option for 6/5 stars!!! This team has given me the best and most compassionate medical experience of my life! Callie, Hailey and Dr. Tawil all made me feel cared for and presented every part of the procedure which made me feel very comfortable and again I can't stress enough the genuine feeling of care they radiate. Turns out Dr. Tawil is also the man when it comes to Endodontic knowledge, I can honestly say I'm upset that I may never see these folks again... unless I need another root canal... I wish these folks could be my primary dentist, physicians or anything that my health depends on. Words can't express how grateful I am to the team. Please, don't hesitate, give your business and all your worries to these folks and you will not be disappointed!

The best, most professional care available anywhere. Because of my issue, I needed three visits. I was apprehensive before my first visit, but my fears were quickly allayed under the watchful care of Dr. Tawil, his staff, and the inviting atmosphere of the office. I returned for my other visits with no apprehension whatsoever. I highly recommend with no reservations.

If you are looking for the most skilled endodontist to monitor and treat your dental needs, book an appointment at Governors Endodontics. Dr. Tawil has top of the line dental equipment and knows how to use it!! He is able to outline the most effective outcome for a patient because he is uniquely gifted in reading, interpreting, and synthesizing information from a scan, the physical exam, and patient reporting. It is a rare and treasured quartet to come across a doctor who listens, understands, explains, and executes a plan with such knowledge, skill and humanity.

Dr Tawil is an extremely skilled clinician and was one of the best educators I've had. His expertise in periapical microsurgery truly sets him apart. Anyone would be lucky to have him as an educator or their endodontist.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the Peter was honest, young, driven and straight forward. I have been to other endodontie specialists that exaggerated what my needs were in order to make more money.... So it was a relief to find a dentist with integrity making me feel secure and well taken care of! Highly recommend to anyone in or around Chapel Hills, NC

Dr. Tawil is a wonderful clinician and an extremely talented endodontist. He performed a root canal on a molar of mine that was positioned at a difficult angle. From the novocaine, through the drilling, and until the filling, the entire process was painless. He answered all my questions throughly and explained every part of the procedure in detail. And his chairside manner put me at ease. Haley was kind and skillful in assisting the procedure, and Callie made scheduling and payment super easy. I highly recommend Governor's Endodontics to anyone who has teeth.

I highly recommend Dr. Tawil. I was planning to go out of town on Thursday and his staff worked to get me in to be checked at last minute on Wednesday. From the moment I walked in I was greeted warmly and that feeling was the same for each staff member I met. Dr. Tawil and his assistant Haley took the time to explain everything they were doing during the procedure. Haley was very knowledgeable!

I had the privilege of being Dr. Twail's first patient in his new private practice .. January, 2022. I needed a complicated root canal procedure that required his knowledge and skill. I felt completely confident and safe being in his care and I healed from the surgical procedure completely without any complications. I was so happy I was able to wait for him to start his practice. His fee was amazingly modest especially with what I needed. His staff was careful and respectful. So I highly recommend him without hesitation for all he did for me.

Dr. Tawil is a gifted clinician and an educator, who I really admire and always enjoy learning from. He has exceptional techniques, vast knowledge on endodontics, and most of all, relentless passion for patient care. I was lucky to have had him as my program director. Dr. Tawil is in a league of his own in the field of endodontic microsurgery, which many endodontists may not be well trained in. He is always open to trying new methods and stays up to date on new research. I learned a lot from doing surgery cases with Dr. Tawil, not just on technique but on how to think outside the box and go beyond what's in the textbooks. As a clinician he is focused on treating the patient as a whole so that you are comfortable throughout.
