Peter Gostout was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Brooklyn College. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Columbia University in 1997. While attending Columbia University, Dr. Gostout during his four years was the recipient of a research scholarship and was the elected ethics representative for his dental school class.
Dr. Gostout takes pride in giving back to the community. He volunteers at give kids a smile and at Project Dental Care. Dr. Gostout keeps himself up to date on the latest techniques and is a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and is a top Dentist in Gulf Shore Life magazine since 2015.

Dr. Gostout and his team are very professional and very likeable. Like many over the years I have had different dentist's if I could choose just one it would be Dr. Gostout.. My wife in the past had extremely high dental anxiety but Dr. Gostout and his team have cured it. Highly Recommend A+++

Dr. Peter Gostout and his team saved my smile! I went in for a consultation and I was greeted first by Michelle, who treated me like family, as if I had been a patient for years. Then Dr. Gostout and Yvonne evaluated my broken front tooth and really spent the time to give me an honest review. They instilled confidence in my decision to choose this dentist team, which is hard in a town with a different dentist on every corner. I am so happy I went with him. We booked an appointment and he made sure his schedule was clear of distractions. Dr. Gostout and Yvonne repaired my front tooth flawlessly. It was not an easy fix, but his attention to detail, professionalism and patience got the job done. I can finally smile again with confidence, thank you for this amazing experience!

Coming from someone with pretty bad dental anxiety this is by far the best dentist I've ever gone to. From Vicky at the front desk to Katie who did my cleaning all the way to Dr. Gostout himself, this office is staffed with the most kind and amazing people. They have gone above and beyond any standard of care I had hoped to receive. They were kind patient and accommodating even though I'm a huge cry baby. Didn't ever think I'd have a five star experience at a dentist office but they made sure of it a few times over. Thank you Dr. Gostout and crew (especially Harley ) for everything you do!!

Doctor Gostout is excellent. Very versatile. Columbia University.Easy going. His patients come from all over.Some come even from Europe and make their yearly stop at his practice. I went three times and the Team makes the experience much easier and smoother. Seriously who wants to go to the dentist? I don't. But when you have to go I would highly recommend Gostout and his Team. Competitive prices.

Give this office a call. They will help you they're cheap, they're profession and the Dentist is a laid back, professional, he'll tell you straight up if you can't safe a tooth and will never try anything shady like try to pull a infected tooth or inject a number into a abscess. Had a dentist do that for a pulling (due to being surgical) worst pain I have ever felt in my life. You got to trust the people you see to fix you're mouth up. These are the most trust worthy people you'll meet and if they can't help you they have no problem giving you contacts to get the hook up. He charges 2,500 ish a implant which is normal but gave me a reference to this place that did it for 800 dollars. He's not greedy he just wants the best for you and your mouth and I'm writing this review because it's been a long time since I've been in and I recently had a bad experience somewhere else. Will take the two hour drive to see this guy again soon.

After my husband went to Towncare Dental and was quoted needing over $3,000 worth of work on his teeth, including cavities and gum disease treatment, I decided to send him to Dr. Gostout to get a second opinion. I'm so glad that I did! They said that his mouth looked fine, except for 1 small cavity that they said they would just keep their eye on. If he would need to fill the cavity, it would be less than $200. I completely recommend Dr. Gostout because of this. I feel that his practice is much more honest.
