After 20 years of owning a practice in Atlanta, Dr. Gorman relocated with his family to Southern California. He received his DDS degree at Emory University a prestigious private school on the East Coast that is consistently ranked as one of the nations best universities by U.S. News & World Report.
Dr. Gormans passion for providing patients with top-notch dental care stems from his experience as a child. He was picked on constantly for having severely crooked teeth until he received braces at the hands of a gentle, caring dentist. This life-changing experience is what motivated Dr. Gorman to become a dentist, to touch peoples lives as his was touched, and to provide the same joy and confidence to his patients that his dental experience provided him.
For over 20 years, Dr. Gorman has offered a variety of dental health services in a private practice setting. He has trained with the worlds foremost experts in both cosmetic and restorative dentistry, was awarded the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity Outstanding Achievement Award, and is a proud recipient of Emory Universitys Preventive Dentistry Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Community. He is a firm believer that practicing prevention is more responsible than waiting for a problem to develop. Dr. Gorman was also the team dentist for the Professional Womens Soccer team, the Atlanta Beat.
In addition to professional athletes, Dr. Gormans patients also include supermodels seen on Good Morning America, MTV, in national magazines such as Glamour, 17, GQ, and People; local news anchors; and weather personalities. Mostly, however, his practice is made up of average families looking for a personal, trusting relationship with a caring dentist.
Dr. Gormans lovely wife, Tamara, is a dental hygienist who received her degree from NYU. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish. The Gormans love spending time with their son, Greg, and going hiking.
Dr. Yassa earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Neuroscience at the University of California at Los Angeles before continuing on to earn her dental degree from the School of Dentistry. She continued her education by attending the General Practice Residency program at the Sepulveda Veterans Hospital in California and has enjoyed practicing dentistry in a private practice setting ever since.
Dr. Yassa is known for being patient, meticulous, and thorough when educating patients about their dental health concerns. She is easy to talk to and effortlessly relates to people from all walks of life.
Born and raised in southern California, Dr. Frank Sy received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State University, Los Angeles, Early Entrance Program and his D.M.D. degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He completed his General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center and earned his Certificate in Periodontics from New York University College of Dentistry.
As a periodontist, Dr. Sy has particular interest in periodontal regeneration through biologic mediators. Along with strong patient education, saving teeth is his treatment goal. He appreciates and understand that periodontics is the foundation to other aspects of dentistry, and periodontal treatment is a fine balance between health, esthetics and engineering.
Dr. Sy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and maintains membership in the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, International Team for Implantology and the Academy of General Dentistry. In is personal time, Dr. Sy enjoys volunteering and medical/dental outreach. Through serving those in need, he understands compassion and empathy is the basis to all health care.

I had a crown replaced. It was the most wonderful experience. When it came time to actually insert the crown it just "popped" in. My bite was just right and there was no need to check for "high" spots. I REALLY appreciate Dr. Gorman explaining everything he is doing as he is doing them. Lisa, Ashley, Stephanie and Christine are amazing people and make everything run so smoothly. I am so glad the Dr. Gorman decided to set up his practice in our "neck of the woods". Sincerely, Irving

Very professional. They were very prompt. The office personnel explained the recommended treatment and costs up front and no pressure to say yes. The dentist explained everything as he was working on my tooth. Had a crown and it was a perfect fit. Makes my crowns from other dentists feel inferior. Don't waste your time with other dentists, just go to Gorman first!

I had just moved to the SCV and was looking for a new dentist office. The second I walked through the door I was blown away by by how amazing their office looks. They have have a really lovely reception area. You're greeted by their friendly staff immediately and welcomed with open arms - not to mention FREE coffee! :-) Gorman Dental has all of the state of the art equipment. From massage chairs, to high-tech gadgets I've never seen elsewhere! Dr. Yassa and Dr. Gorman are incredibly professional. They clearly have a well rounded knowledge of dental care and hygiene. I primarily had appointments with Dr. Yassa. She is a perfectionist and it shows! While maintaining a high level of professionalism, Gorman Dental Care also manages to keep a warm and cozy family atmosphere. The entire staff is absolutely brilliant in bringing this place to life. Bottom line, after 1 visit I knew that this was the place I would be coming for years to come! I would recommend this office to everyone!

Dr Yassa is awesome! You can tell right away that she really cares about you. Her attention to detail is amazing , you know you are getting great dental work. The technology is amazing, and the staff goes way out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Highly recommended!!
