Dr. Raggi grew up on a small farm in Newfield, New York. His parents Tony and Carol have lived in Tompkins county for over 30 years. His father has worked for Catholic Charities as a social worker and his mother worked as an ER nurse at Cayuga Medical. At the age of 6 he knew that he would someday become a dentist. He is a graduate Immaculate Conception in Ithaca and Newfield High School. His years of training took him to many different cities. He worked as a dental assistant for two general dentists, an oral surgeon, and a mobile dentist. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University Dental school in Cleveland, OH, he and his soon-to-be wife, Melissa, moved to Massachusetts. He started working by providing dental care in 22 nursing homes throughout the state. He also worked in 2 private practices during his time in Massachusetts where he continued to master his skills. All during this time, his dream of returning home to Tompkins County grew. Now he is back. His passion, skill and love for his work are evident from the first time that he meets a new patient.
In his spare time, Dr. Raggi enjoys playing soccer, softball, basketball, and golf. He also loves rooting for his favorite sports teams; The Buffalo Bills and Sabers, Albany and Syracuse basketball as well as local sports such as Cornell Hockey. But do not make to much fun of him he is also a Red Sox fan and has taken batting practice inside of Fenway Park. When not doing something sports related he spends most of his free time with his wife, family, friends, and dog Tucker.
Dr. Dubin grew up in Ithaca, N.Y. He received his Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University, both in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the recipient of the H. Chris Doku Scholarship and the Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Dental Student in Implant Dentistry Award. While at Tufts, Dr. Dubin conducted research on Osteomyelitis at Tufts Medical Center. Following dental school Dr. Dubin completed a general dentistry residency with the Veterans Affairs Southern New England Healthcare System/VA Medical Center Providence Rhode Island. Dr. Dubin is an elected member of the Academy of Osseointegration. Outside of dentistry Dr. Dubin is an avid cyclist and skier.

It is very upsetting to lose a front tooth. After all, that's what one sees when you smile. Dr. Raggi and his staff makes the whole experiences of pulling the tooth to getting a partial very comfortable and all options were explained well with no pressure,

In these challenging times it was encouraging to experience the professional atmosphere of Dr. Raggi's office. I was comfortable being there, and felt confident that the office staff was doing everything necessary to maintain a healthy environment. Dr. Raggi explained the procedure to me and was always concerned with how I was doing. He also took time after he was done to explain possible complications with follow-ups if necessary. There have been no complications, and I will be returning there for more dental care.

For a first timer. The dental assistant did an amazing job. She explained everything before we went through it. Answered all my questions. Did an awesome job cleaning my teeth without making my gum or teeth hurt. In the end there wasn't much work left for the dentist.

I could not be happier with this practice. Dr. Dubin is so kind, compassionate, and down to earth. I have had a long standing dental anxiety that has all but gone away thanks to gorges dental. Finding a trustworthy dental office isn't always easy but look no further. This office is it. I never write reviews but this one is worth sharing. The staff is professional and kind. The office is beautiful and clean. They book out some but it's worth the wait. They also are great with communication about appointments and offer cancellation spots often. Highly recommend.

Dr. Raggi, SUPERHERO!!! Finding a dentist that my son, age 3 (at the time), and I were comfortable with, proved to be quite the challenge. Numerous visits to local and regional pediatric dentists resulted in a plan for extensive and costly work. At a well visit, my son's pediatrician recommended we try a new dentist in town - Dr. Raggi. It was easy to get an appointment, but my son was not easy about leaving the car. Dr. Raggi came out to the car dressed as a superhero figure. He established a trust that has grown stronger over the years. Dr. Raggi and his staff are always friendly and compassionate about my sons emotional well being. My son, age 10 (currently), has been and will continue to be a regular patient of Gorges Dental. They are very reasonable and will not suggest unnecessary work be preformed. We have seen a dramatic improvement in his dental health. My son and I look forward to his cleanings and feel confident we are getting the best possible care. P.S. Bonus points for the massage chair and complimentary snacks in the waiting room.

Going to the dentist is rarely something to look forward to, but the team at Gorges go out of their way to make every visit as enjoyable as possible. I don't particularly enjoy the dentist but I very much enjoy goi g to Gorges!
