Why aren't six stars available? Dr. Gordons (David and Lenard) provide compassionate, professional care, utilizing incredible bedside manner and technique. Advanced procedures are explained thoroughly in easily comprehensible terms. Questions and concerns are answered in a rational non-confrontational manner (no eye rolling, or acting like you where an idiot for asking) No One wants to have to go to the Dentist, let's be real!!!! However here, the Doctors, nurses and staff help to ease the anxiety and pain associated with dental health issues. Everyone who I have interacted with at this practice is positive and friendly (which obviously starts at the top with the dentists) This practice is committed to providing optimal care, while addressing dental health in a conservative, yet appropriate manner. They make me feel like a friend, not a profit center, I feel fortunate to be in their care. Three thumbs up

Dr. Gordon is an amazing dentist that I recommend to all of my friends and family! I was having a couple dental issues with a previous dentist who could not figure out why I was in so much pain, and Dr. Gordon figured it out right away and immediately came up with a plan of care to resolve my issues. All of his staff are courteous and have great customer service. I definitely recommend this practice to anyone!

The best - a nice father and son team. They treat my family and have always been professional, painless, considerate, and have always done the right thing for us. The hygienists do a great job too; my mouth is never a bloody mess.

***Update 2/10/21 I visited Dr Gordon today for the first time in over a year, and was so impressed by the protocols the staff has put in place to keep the office clean and the staff and patients safe. I have been EXTREMELY cautious visiting any doctors for fear of putting myself or any of my high risk loved ones in danger of contracting Covid. Dr Gordon's office knew that I was nervous and went above and beyond to relieve my anxiety. They were thorough, but still got me in and out of the office quickly and efficiently- all while exhibiting kindness and compassion. In addition to their kindness, they are wonderful dentists, and honest people. I cannot recommend them enough!! Since moving to the DC area I had struggled to find an honest, dependable dentist and I am so happy to finally have found one with Dr Gordon. I was seeing a dentist close to my home just out of convenience, but they wanted to do all sorts of unnecesaary work! My husband asked me to go see Dr Gordon for a second opinion, and although I was put off by the 30min drive from our home, it was the best decision I could have made. He re-examined my X-rays and agreed that I didn't need any of the 6 procedures the other dentist had recommended (and tried to scare me into getting!) He also fixed a small chip in my tooth right there on the spot (I wasn't scheduled for that) so that I wouldn't have to make another trip back to the office. It was by far the best dental experience I have had in the DC area!!!

Dr. Leonard Gordon is the best dentist I've ever had! Going to the dentist can be nerve wracking for anybody, but I can tell you first hand as a patient, that he is extremely gentle, talented, polite and friendly. If you have any type of special needs he will go out of his way to accommodate you. He also is never pushy on getting procedures done. He gives his professional opinion, and then allows the patient to choose. He doesn't suggest the most expensive option just to make money. He is honest and pragmatic. I am very happy I found this dentist's office! Also, they are extremely clean there and the team is extra cautious about keeping the patients and staff as protected as possible against COVID. Temperature and risk assessment is done upon entry, and there are separate entrances and exits for patients for when they arrive and leave.

Dr. Leonard Gordon has been my dentist for 39 years, he is the most honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable person and professional I've ever met. He cares about his patients as if you were his own family members. Both my husband and daughter were scared of dentists, Dr Gordon and his team has won over my most opinionated family members. I could go on and on, seeing is believing! Yasmian Lyew

I recently cracked on the veneers on a front tooth and no longer had a regular dentist. In panic mode about what to do and how the issue could be resolved I quickly did some research and found the Gorden Center. I called and explained my situation and Billie was able to to get me in to see the Dr. within the hour. Billie went above and beyond the call of duty when I arrived extra early to fill out the initial paperwork by allowing me to fill it out in an air conditioned space on a very hot and muggy day before escorting me into the office per COVID-19 procedures. Once in the exam room I explained my issue to Dr. David Gordon's assistant and again to Dr. David Gordon. Both we extremely pleasant, understanding, and able to answer all my questions and fears about having a veneer replaced. Thankfully, the veneer was actually repairable versus needing to be replaced. Within an hour of arriving the issue was repaired very easily. During the process an x-ray did show that I had an issue with a different tooth which would require a root canal. Normally, going to the dentist to find out a root canal is needed might be considered bad news. However, considering I was expecting to lose a tooth due to the cracked veneer and coming out the other side with just needing a root canal was still good news to me. Also, had the underlying cause of the root canal gone untreated and unnoticed it would have caused even bigger problems. So the cracked veneer turned out to be a good thing. The motto for the Gordon Center appears to be making the patient as comfortable as possible and everyone follows through with this. Dr. David Gordon takes to the time to explain the problem, then walks through the solutions, and lets you know what going on each step of the way. His assistant is extremely knowledgeable as well and instantly puts you to ease. Between the two of them they ensure all questions and fears are answered and that your comfort is their first priority. Billie makes the check in / check out process extremely painless and super easy with her positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and smooth manner. The entire staff have positive attitudes, are extremely friendly, and really do make you feel at ease if going to the dentist isn't your favorite thing to do. It's clear everyone there loves helping people and enjoys what they do. By the end of my first visit, it was clear I had found a new regular dentist and couldn't be more pleased.

If I were able to provide more than 5 stars, I'd happily do so. I speak from the perspective of a patient of Dr. David Gordon before and during this worldwide COVID 19 crisis. As a bit of a back story, I thoroughly researched the dental world in the DC area because I was facing major teeth issues. Classic case of mom with large family + job + marriage + no time + fear of dentists (or anybody in white coats )! From my first phone call to arrange a consultation, I encountered professionalism, concern and courtesy. Office manager Billie (avoiding last names - not attempting to be dismissive) is accommodating and extraordinarily competent. The Gordon Center office itself is well-designed, welcoming, immaculately clean, current magazines (remember back in the day when really nice reception areas offered their patients magazines + refreshments???) and sunlight. My consult with Dr. David Gordon was a respectful, informative exchange of options and treatments. I left the office with no questions left unanswered. I chose my treatment plan (BC before COVID 19) and was fascinated how seamlessly the entire office operated. Dr Leonard Gordon, who began the practice (maybe 35 or so years ago), Dr David Gordon, a staff of assistants, hygienists and many patients flow throughout the space almost like a well-choreographed play. And everyone is so KIND! My treatment required coordinating with one of the Gordon Center's colleagues; Dr David Brown and staff coordinated every detail several times. To say I was well-cared for is an understatement. I was given contact info to use 24/7. Knowing I could reach out (considering my dental phobia) day or night relieved me of my fear. I continue on with my treatment plan - the office has changed to accommodate new COVID 19 requirements. Everyone is in super protective gear. No waiting - you let Billie know you're outside. A side note: during the almost 3 months the office was shut down, EVERY member of staff received full salary. This Gordon Center is a team - I could feel it the moment I walked in for my first consultation (no sales pressure and no fee for the time Dr Gordon spent with me, by the way). I've had a ton of experience with medical folks in my life - I'd never write a review (no one asked me) unless I hoped it might spotlight excellence as I've found in Dr David Gordon + company for someone who was as fearful and skeptical as me!

I have been going to Dr. Leonard Gordon for more than 15 years and have been seeing Dr. David Gordon since he joined the practice. Since the moment I first walked in their door, I felt comfortable, which is saying a lot, because I am not usually a fan of dentists. But they are different in the greatest way possible. From the doctors, to the hygienists, to Billie the receptionist and office manager, it feels more like meeting family friends than going to the doctors. I also would not normally go to a dentist that doesn't take insurance; I never had in the past, but for Dr.'s Gordon I do. I first met them when another dentist recommended lots of work and I wanted a second opinion. And Dr. Gordon explained to me that I actually didn't need this work, and likely was only being recommended the work because it was covered by my insurance. And it was basically a light switch that went off in my head. Billie fills out all the forms and paperwork for my insurance, so it's really not any additional headache at all. The reason I have decided to write a review of the practice now is because I had some work completed recently that my insurance company didn't want to pay for it, so the office wrote a letter to the insurance company on my behalf and I ended up getting reimbursed. Which is just above and beyond what I would expect, so I wanted to recognize them for going so far out of their way to help me out. Even though I have moved to the west coast, I am keeping Dr.'s Leonard and David Gordon as my dentists and I will schedule my future appointments around when I return to town to visit family.

Sometimes I feel I shouldn't move away from this area at all because I don't want to look for another dental office ever. This is by far the BEST doctor's office (not just the dental, but medical in general) that I've had in my life. There are a lot good things that I want to share, but I will pick some of the top ones: 1. Dr. Leonard Gordon and Dr. David Gordon are top national experts in the field. They are very knowledgeable and I know my family and I am in good hands. In addition to that, they really take their time taking with us, and thoroughly explaining things that we were concerned. 2. They truly treat their patients like family. Several times Dr. Leonard Gordon went all the way to reach his rich list of resources (Doctor friends etc) for finding the best treatment for my gum's autoimmune inflammation condition. He didn't have to do all that extra for free, but I feel so grateful and I know I am being taken good care of in their hands. 3. Dr. Gordons never tell us to do any unnecessary procedures. They never ever do that like several other dental offices did to me. Before I went to see Dr. Gordon (senior), I was told by another dentist that I needed to do 9 fillings. I decided to see Dr. Gordon who was recommended by one of my former coworkers for a second opinion. He said I only had to do one filling and the others weren't necessary and just needed to keep eyes on. After that, I stayed and I am so glad I finally found them. Dr. Gordon's office was also the first one who told us that we don't have to do X ray every year. They don't participate in any insurance plan, but their prices are always reasonable and I never had to worry if they would overcharge me like I did at other dental offices . Their staff file claims with insurance company on behalf of us super fast and I never had a problem. 4. Dr. Gordons are quick at responding and so do their office staff too. They are very responsible to their patients. 5. Their office assistance and front desk ladies are always kind, polite and smiling, just like Dr. Gordons. And I found they just had refreshed website launched. Keep up the great work! -Linglin

We have been going to this practice for more than 25 years. Just amazing professionalism, service and technique. They are the best! Both Dr's, David and Len. They actually came in on Christmas Day to assist our sister in law. And have seen us on weekends in emergency type situations.

I met Dr. Gordon August of 2016. It was 3 days before my birthday and I had an infected front tooth that broke. It was in really bad shape. Dr. Gordon schedule me in that same day I called and I was a new patient. He came up with a plan that was well executed. I had to get a implant and I was worried it won't be done in time before my wedding August 2017, but it was and he made sure it looked just like it was my real tooth. Everybody in the office is also so nice, pleasant and I love it so much I told him he will now be my new dentist and I been going there every since. They really share for patients there and they provide nothing but the best!!!

I have been a patient here for more than 20 years and I would never go anywhere else. Even when I moved to New Jersey I came back to see Dr. Gordon. The attention to detail, and focus on problem solving is excellent. This is a practice that clearly understands every patient is important. In addition the staff, scheduling and follow is also great I can't say enough positive things about the care and consideration they have provided to me and my family.
