For this reason, our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards. Dr. Gordley listens to each patient's needs and desires and then crafts an ideal treatment plan to suit their needs. Patients will be presented with all of the possible treatment options and then choose a plan that suits them. We have found that different patients desire different levels of care. We offer three levels of care that patients are asked to choose from so that we may tailor your care to your desires:

1) Emergency: These patients only desire treatment for their immediate needs. They will consider us their home office, but they are not interested in any findings beyond the one that has brought them in. These patients are usually in pain and want relief.

2) Basic: These patients desire semi-annual cleanings and want to know if they have any existing problems that need to be addressed such as cavities or gum disease. These patients want preventive care, and would like to avoid any painful visits to the office. These patients do not desire care beyond 'what their insurance covers.'

3) Complete: These patients want the same things as the basic patient, but would also like to know how their smile can be improved and maintained. They are willing to have a complete set of photos and models made, and would like to restore or maintain their teeth both cosmetically and functionally. These patients understand that their needs and/or desires may go beyond what their insurance covers.

We will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. For patients who require major work, a complete payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card. We offer no interest financing for up to one year through Care Credit and Citibank financing. Please inquire about these services.

Dr. Gordley is a member of the ADA, the CDS (Christian Dental Society), PADS (Pennsylvania Dental Society), The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and is a Fellow of both the Academy of General Dentistry as well as the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Internationally, he has served as a missionary dentist in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras. As seen in the Pittsburgh magazine, Dr. Gordley has been named by his peers as one of the region's top dentist 12 times including 2020. Additionally, he has been named one of America's Top Dentists seven times by the Consumers Research Council of America including in 2018. David lectures on the topic of digital dentistry and serves as a key opinion leader in this field to his peers. When out of the office he enjoys hunting, fishing, biking, and skiing in his leisure time as well as spending time with his three daughters, Lauren, Aubrey, and Claire. David has continued in his service to the Slippery Rock community for over 15 years. He serves as SRU's team dentist and he founded the Slippery Rock youth wrestling program. Dr. Gordley is a guest lecturer at SRU on the topic of sports trauma. He also provides annual lectures at local elementary schools on the topic of tobacco awareness and oral health and volunteers as the school dentist for the Slippery Rock School district. Background

Dr. Gordley graduated from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. After graduation Dr. Gordley completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in the United States Air Force, furthering his skills in the cosmetic and surgical aspects of dentistry. He then served as a dentist in the United States Air Force where he was awarded a Commendation Medal for both his professional accomplishments, and his work in the local community. Dr. Gordley has also received the prestigious Fellowship Award in the Academy of General Dentistry, an achievement that only 7 percent of dentists achieve in their career! Of further note, Dr. Gordley has completed an externship in oral implantology at the Midwest Implant Institute, and has studied implantology at the Zimmer Institute in Carlsbad, CA as well as Miami, FL. He places implants using guided surgical protocols based on 3D digital planning. Dr. Gordley has recieved the prestigious Fellowship Award in The International Congress for Oral Implantologists. David has studied advanced esthetic restoration and occlusion at the Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago, and at the prestigious Spear Institute in Scottsdale, AZ. Dr. Gordley is a certified Invisalign provider and has completed several advanced courses on Invisalign treatment. David believes in treating others as he would like to be treated himself. He gets to know each his patients as individuals and provides them with exceptional dental care.

Dr. Kachulis earned a bachelor of science with focus in microbiology at the University of Pittsburgh. She also went on to receive her doctorate of dental medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kachulis is a member of the ADA (American Dental Association), PDA (Pennsylvania Dental Association), and AGD (Academy of General Dentistry).

Dr. Kachulis is passionate about providing the best possible care to her patients, and strives to keep patients at ease. She hopes that her optimistic and upbeat demeanor translates to positive experiences in and outside of the dental office. She enjoys forming relationships with patients, and has started to find her home in the town of Slippery Rock. Dr. Kachulis is Greek Orthodox, and enjoys spending time with friends and family from her church, as well as Greek dancing, and of course Greek food. Dr. Kachulis, her husband, and her French bulldog, Ginny reside in Cranberry. In her spare time she loves trying new foods, live music, reading, and playing with her puppy.

When Dr. Yu was young, she and her family moved from China to the United States in search of their next great adventure. For most of her early life, she grew up in Pittsburgh. She received a BS in Biology and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh. Despite her childhood fear of dentists, she furthered her education by becoming a doctor of dental medicine at Pitt followed by a year of additional training at St. Elizabeth Mercy Hospital, Youngstown, OH. It was her traumatizing experiences at the dentist that motivated her to want to change people's perceptions of their dreaded dental visits. Therefore, she is very understanding and empathetic towards patients with dental fear. Most importantly, Dr. Yu wants to maintain a relaxed atmosphere with her patients so that they feel at ease. She wishes to inspire trust and establish good rapport with her patients through her willingness to assist them to reach a better state of health. This is because she believes that a beautiful and functional smile is what makes the dentistry profession worth it.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Yu enjoys spending time with her friends and family, in particular food-related activities. She also likes to travel, bake and partake in experimental cooking, as well as cuddling her newly-adopted kitten.

Monica graduated with a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from West Virginia University in 2001 where she served as president of her class as well as the Student American Dental Hygiene Association. Her research on oral piercings received national recognition. Monica provides annual presentations at the local elementary and pre-schools on the topic of oral health. Monica and David founded their practice 13 years ago in Slippery Rock. She enjoys spending time with her patients when she is not busy raising their three daughters Lauren, Aubrey, and Claire.

Jill is our scheduling manager. She has been with our practice for over 10 years! Jill is known for her contagious smile and gentle demeanor. She is a graduate of Butler High School. She has obtained advanced training at the Midwest Implant Institute in surgical dental assisting. She has also attended training in orthodontics through Rondeau Seminars and Invisalign. Jill is a member of the American Academy of Dental Office Managers. She enjoys spending time with her three children, Tessa, Mason, and Marley when we are not keeping her busy at the office.

Sharon has been involved in dentistry for over 30 years and is our 'do it all' staff member. Sharon can be found doing anything from answering phones to assisting with dental procedures. She loves Pittsburgh sports teams, and is a huge fan of Grove City wrestling. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Beth is a graduate of Laurel High School who went on to receive her degree in dental hygiene from The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where she graduated summa cum laude. Beth was inducted into the Sigma Phi Alpha National Dental Hygiene Honor Society. Of note, she was honored to receive the PDHA outstanding student award upon graduation. Beth enjoys cooking and spending time with her two sons and husband in her free time.

Gena is a graduate of The Pennsylvania College of Technology School of Dental Hygiene. Gena has a gentle and calm demeanor and a super fun personality which makes her an ideal dental hygienist. She enjoys spending time with her son, daughter and husband in her free time.

Katie is a graduate of Slippery Rock High School who went on to receive her Expanded Functions Dental Assisting Degree from Bradford School in Pittsburgh. After working with our practice for 5 years, Katie was offered a teaching position at her alma mater where she taught for several years. Katie went on to complete her training as a Certified Dental Assistant which is the highest degree available to a dental assistant in PA! Katie is our lead dental assistant. Katie has a warm smile and a cheerful demeanor that puts her patients at ease. Katie enjoys gardening, archery, and spending time with her husband, two dogs, and her children, Andrew and Maya.

Candi Dodd is a high school graduate of Mercer High School and took severaldental courses at Youngstown State. She now has over 26 years in the dentalfield and is a great dental assistant! She is a proud mother of 3 beautifulchildren Chance, Dylan, and Kaylin. Candi and her husband enjoy boating andspending time together on the river.

Jodi is the finance and insurance manager for Dr. Gordley's office. She hasworked in the dental field for over 20 years in different locations. Jodiand her husband of 36 years moved to the Butler area in 2018 and have twosons who reside in their home state of West Virginia. She enjoys spendingtime with her guys, reading, and working in her flowers.
