Dr. Goodwin was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Tarleton State University and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) at one of the top dental schools in the US the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After his doctorate he completed an advanced residency focused on cosmetics, implants, sedation, and oral surgery. This additional training allows him to offer patients many services of an oral surgeon as a general dentist. Dr. Goodwin has also achieved over four years and 400 hours of certified training with the American Orthodontic Society, Academy of Gp Orthodontics and other professional orthodontic organizations. This education has allowed him to confidently expand his services to include adult and adolescent orthodontics. Dr Goodwin loves how orthodontics can create beautiful healthy smiles in a more conservative way for his adult patients prior to cosmetic or restorative treatment. He is even more passionate about how orthodontics can prevent many issues he sees in his adult patients when intercepted at a young age.
Dr. Goodwin has served in various leadership roles in the dental community, including 2014-2015 Past-President of the Fort worth Academy of General Dentistry. He was also nominated as the New Dentist of the Year in 2013 by the San Antonio District Dental Society.
In his spare time Dr. Goodwin can be found hugging his babies Lola and Gus and laughing with his wife Cristina. He loves the outdoors, camping and gardening. His family attends Doxology Bible Church and credit God for allowing them to open Goodwin Dental and bringing together such a wonderful team and incredible patients.

Dr Goodwin is our family dentist going on 4 years. He's also my daughter's orthodontist and he's great with kids and very thorough. My kids love him and the staff is always so friendly. Dr Goodwin has made himself available more than once for couple of tiny emergencies. We're here to stay!

Dr. Goodwin has a kind heart. He is thorough in his examination and puts his patients comfort at the top of his practice. I felt like I was in confident and capable hands. The office staff was friendly and professional. I got reminders about my appointment. The office is comfortable and during treatments patients have the option of watching TV. What a great dentist! Give Goodwin dental a try, you will be happy you did.

Dr. Goodwin and his staff are the best! They are patient centered and take the time to get to know me and my family in addition to having the best dental care. From cleanings to orthodontics to wisdom teeth removal - they do it all, they do it well and they do it affordably. I highly recommend this practice!

I will definitely say that they have made there fair share of mistakes but with Dr.Goodwin he personally contacted me about my feelings of lack of care and turned around and did an extraordinary thing for me since I was in pain for months with TMJ which is a condition with your facial muscles that can last a life time. I'm thankful for the length he went to make up for the way I felt which not a lot of health professionals do. They usually don't care to let you go somewhere else.

Dr. Goodwin and his staff are amazing! In addition to being very friendly and courteous, they somehow always remember little personal details about you from your last visit on top of your medical details and that is so nice. Dr. Goodwin also helped correct a neck and jaw problem I had been having for many years before going to him... A problem that my last dentist never even noticed. We are very grateful to have found such an awesome practice.

Very friendly staff and pleasant dentist. This was our first visit and Dr. Goodwin recommended a very expensive and extensive treatment plan for my 15 year old son on a tooth that was injured years ago. We agreed but when I called to schedule the work, they wanted half to even set the appointment. I checked with other offices in the area and not one said they would recommend that treatment plan for a 15 year old and none would request payment to even make the appointment. Would not recommend unless you are comfortable paying for services before they have even started.

I have been going to Dr. Goodwin for the past 3 years and have been extremely satisfied with the services I have received. They have provided services for cleanings, filling replacements, crowns, implant placement and braces. Dr. Goodwin and his staff are the best!!
