When Dr. McClain first started orthodontic treatment as a sixth grader, she immediately knew that becoming her dentist was her biggest dream. Her desire never changed over the years, and she later realized that this type of work combined all of the things she loved art, science, and helping people!
After graduating cum laude from Tennessee State with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, Dr. McClain went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery through Meharry Medical College in Nashville, where she was at the top of her class. Later, she earned the valuable opportunity to complete a dental residency through the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, participating in rotations in the areas of Anesthesia, Family Medicine, Oral Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Operating Room Dentistry.
When she isnt busy helping patients, Dr. McClain enjoys spending lots of quality time with her husband, playing tennis, painting, doing pottery (including ceramics), working out, and running (although more slowly these days). She is also passionate about giving back to her community and volunteered for several organizations that bring aid to Tennessees marginalized communities, such as Trinity Health Clinic, Remote Area Medical, and Hope Smiles. She also volunteers in Jamaica annually with Jamaica Awareness Association of California. An interesting fact about her: she is bilingual and also speaks Spanish!
Ashleys hometown is Cross Plains, TN! She completed her studies at Volunteer State Community College, joining our team in 2020. Since then, she has genuinely enjoyed the opportunity to build real relationships with her patients and colleagues each day.
Outside the office, you can find Ashley with her husband, three sons, and two stepsons. She loves hiking, watching True Crime documentaries, cheering her sons on during sports games, and working in the yard.
Negin has worked in the dental field for three years so far. She studied at Tennessee State University and is trained in local anesthesia and CPR. She has a genuine passion for taking care of patients.
Chandni hails from Jackson originally, and shes been working in the dental world for five years so far. After attending MTSU, she completed the dental hygiene program at Tennessee State University; today, she is certified in CPR, anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and laser dentistry. What she enjoys most about working at Goodlettsville Smiles is getting to take good care of each patient, as well as being part of such a wonderful team!
Chandni recently married her husband Jay in August of 2019, and she also has a special fur baby named Zoe, who is a German Shepard Husky. When she isnt busy at the dental office, you can usually find her spending quality time with family and friends, cooking, experimenting with makeup, and going to the dog park with Zoe.
After attending Volunteer State in Gallatin, Nicole completed her dental assistant training in Clarksville. She is CPR certified and has extensive experience assisting with pediatric, special needs, and general dental patients. Today, her career spans almost two decades. Her favorite part of this job is getting to build such warm relationships with the people who come into the dental office!
Originally from Waverly, Rachel has been working as a dental assistant since 2006. She is a graduate of Volunteer State Community College and the EFDA program at UT Memphis, achieving certifications in coronal polishing and sealant placement. She never meets a stranger and really enjoys building relationships with patients so that they always feel genuinely comfortable.
At home, Rachel is married with one stepdaughter. Her passions outside of work include doing anything outside and working in her yard. She also loves traveling to the beach and listening to country music.
Kelly is one of the newest members of our team! She attended both Volunteer State Community College and the Medical Institute of Kentucky before entering the dental field. Today, she is certified in radiology and nitrous oxide, and she loves helping patients achieve a happy, healthy smile alongside an amazing team.
Paige was born and raised right here in Tennessee! For her studies, she attended Nashville College of Medical Careers and Vol State. Now, she is a certified medical assistant and BLS certified. For her, the best thing about her job is seeing her co-workers and getting to work alongside a doctor who truly loves her patients.
Paige and her husband have been married for more than 30 years now, and they have three children, four beautiful grandchildren, and three dogs. Some of her favorite ways to spend her free time are reading, gardening, and participating in fun runs.
