Dr. Morgan Hester was born and raised in Smithfield, NC. She received her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science from UNC Chapel Hill. Dr. Hester always knew she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. Her interest in dentistry sparked in high school, while working for her orthodontist as a Sterilization Tech. Her passion for dentistry was solidified after returning from a Medical/Dental Mission Trip to Nicaragua during her sophomore year of undergrad. She then devoted a large amount of time shadowing general dentists and specialists, participating in Pre-Dental Honor Society, and volunteering at free dental clinics.
Dr. Hester went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from ECU School of Dental Medicine. She feels very passionate about the schools mission of improving the health and quality of life of all North Carolinians by creating leaders with a passion to care for the underserved.
Following Dental School, Dr. Hester pursued advanced dental education at a highly sought after VA hospital residency program in Fayetteville, NC. While there, she received advanced training in comprehensive general dentistry and dental implant surgery.
Dr. Hester currently resides in Goldsboro, NC with her precious Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy, Ramsey. In her spare time, she enjoys playing golf, reading, traveling, playing the piano, cooking, exercising, water skiing, and spending time with her family, friends, and her fiance, Will.
Dr. Hester is thrilled to have the opportunity to care for the wonderful people of Goldsboro and surrounding communities. She is passionate about helping all patients feel comfortable in the dental chair, getting to know patients on an individual basis, learning their goals/desires, and helping them achieve a level of optimum oral health.
