As an undergraduate, Dr. Welch attended Illinois Wesleyan University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. He was a member of multiple academic honor societies, made the Deans List every semester, attended and graduated in the top 10% of his class. Dr. Welch received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1983 from Southern Illinois University, School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated 3rd in his class. He then furthered his dental training by attending an oral surgery externship program at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA. In 1983, he participated in a one year General Practice Residency at Rush Presbyterian St Lukes Hospital in Chicago. In 1988 Dr. Welch received his certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery surgery from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr Welch has worked as an oral surgeon and a general dentist for more than 20 years throughout the Denver Metro area. In January of 2010 Dr. Welch purchased a well established family dental practice in Golden, Colorado. Over the past few years Doctors Welch has spent much ofhistime learning and bringing some of the latest techniques and technologies into their practice to provide their patients some of the most advanced dental care available to date.
In his off time Dr. Welch enjoys skiing, biking, golf, and reading. He has an avid interest in marine biology and enjoys scuba diving in various parts of the world. He also enjoys spending time with his family and their dogs. Dr. Welch is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, the Metro Denver Dental Association, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Louise Martin Welch brings over 30 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist to Golden View Dental. Louise graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1982. She began her career as a Dental Hygienist in rural South Dakota before relocating to the Denver Metro area in 1989. Louise continued her education by taking numerous courses specializing in periodontal disease and preventative practices, emphasizing to her patients the need to maintain a healthful regime. Louise has worked with Dr. Scott R. Welch for the past 14 years and has owned her own hygiene practice for the past 10 years before becoming a partner with Dr. Welch .
Louise enjoys a good heartfelt laugh. Her interests include gardening, golfing, skiing, hiking and scuba diving in exotic locations. Louise has two grown children and now shares her time with Dr. Welch their Boxer, Megan and Yellow Lab, Ruff.

This office is wonderful. They are efficient , however they do not push work to be done to make the $$$. They are honest and cognizant of the cost to the patient. Been going here for over 2 years and love their professionalism and honesty!

Dr. Welch has such an exquisite fine touch. I have always had very bad experience and I hesitated to have anymore dental work done on me.. But I gave Dr. Welch a shot.. He actually did 3 implant placements in 90 minutes as he and his assistant where humming during the process and made me relax. After treatment I actually didn't have my mouth butchered as I had in other dental places. My healing was minimal and quick. Thank you Dr. Welch and staff..

I had an amazing dental experience yesterday , on Sunday I decided to snack on a handful of "Shelled" Walnuts, when I munched down on them I quickly met Jesus when my back molar just completely cracked in half. Now I am not a regular visitor of Dentists and asked my best friend for a recommendation. She recommended Golden View Dentists and wow, they were open at 7am on Monday morning , happily accepted me as a new patient and had the destroyed tooth pulled by 11. The entire staff was super kind and while I was laying there drooling all over myself I could hear patient after patient checking out and thanking the receptionist for such great service....it was kind of surreal. Totally a no frills office but boy did they handle everything perfectly.

Total competence and caring at every level. Virginia at the front is a delight, Dental hygienists and assistants ( sorry didnt get all names) are gentle and thorough, and Dr. Welch is a gem! Highly experienced, total commitment to quality. Plus an understanding of his patients. Highly recommend for anyone in Golden/Lakewood area. Thank you.

The staff was friendly. Hygienists were very educational with describing X-rays and how to care for my teeth. The doctor was very thorough in his analysis of my teeth. My teeth look and feel great! Highly recommend this office.

Had a very long wait day of appointment, I got there 15 minutes early as I was asked to do, it took them almost an hour and a half after my appointment time to start working on me. They did a bad job on my tooth. It felt like I got punched in the nose for weeks after. They cracked one of my dads teeth while doing a filling on another tooth. Unkind service, untrustworthy. Paid them, they say I didn't pay when I have proof of payment. Just go to a different dentist

I love the fact that before and after the x-rays the doctor listens to my concerns and a patient plan is drawn up immediately using my insurance and prices are good for 90 days. The dentist is very gentle as are his staff. They even make the crowns in office. I would not go anywhere else.
