For more than 40 years, Golden Rule Dental Care has had a hand in improving the communitys oral health. Dr. Nathan J. Flesher is proud to continue the excellent work of those who came before him, including doctors David Bridgwater and Carter Kolodny.
In 2016, we acquired Dr. Bridgwaters practice. He catered to patients in the Woodland West area for 40 years. In a letter to patients, he expressed confidence in passing the torch to Dr. Nathan, a doctor who shares similar ethical, moral, and professional values.
After meeting Dr. Flesher and his wife, Becca, he quickly grew fond of them. They are a young and enthusiastic couple who are excited about this opportunity to build a practice and serve you as their patients.

DHA is a non-profit, low-cost dental resource that provides preventive and pain-relieving services to low-income residents and educates children about good oral hygiene habits. Young Life is an organization that inspires young people around the world. Its time-tested approach includes various activities and gatherings in communities. Its volunteers connect with youth wherever they are from football practices to the mall. Everyone who gets involved truly cares about youth and is committed to sharing the power of Gods love. This program helps them discover their worth and future purpose.

A Uniontown, PA native, Dr. Nathan first earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry before achieving his DMD degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2014. He followed Gods calling, which guided him to the Christian Medical and Dental Association placement program. One of his most significant accomplishments was commissioning as an officer in the Army National Guard Dental Corps. He joined in 2013, just before starting his dental studies, when he discovered a scholarship opportunity. He remains involved, using his skills and knowledge to promote and restore the dental health of the nations honorable service members. A staunch supporter of these brave soldiers, Dr. Nathan takes great pride in helping them care for their oral health. Whenever he spots a solider who hasnt yet realized the importance of a healthy smile, he will spend a few extra moments with them a truly life-changing interaction.
When hes not helping patients achieve the smile of their dreams, Dr. Nathan loves spending time with his beautiful wife, Becca. They were high school sweethearts and married at the age of 20. Becca is passionate about helping others as a registered nurse. Together, they have a young son, Gavin James, and French bulldog, Hank. Dr. Nathan stays physically active by exercising and exploring the outdoors. Other pastimes include traveling, shooting, sporting clays (clay pigeon shooting), reading, and sharing his knowledge with others. Since helping other people is integral to his lifes mission, Dr. Nathan also helps out at his church and volunteers for Beautiful Feet Ministries. Each month, he provides free dentistry for the homeless and less fortunate. Hes an active member of several dental organizations and hes a self-confessed nerd who loves technology.

Hannah spends her days counseling patients on their treatment options so they can receive ideal care. She also supports her fellow team members by encouraging and supporting them to fulfill the practices mission statement.
Her favorite aspects of her job are interacting with patients and contributing to her community. Hannah believes you should treat others as you want to be treated. This is part of her work philosophy and is integral to how she approaches each person. She is fair and thorough during each interaction.
Hannah is happily married to her husband Clay. In her free time, she delights in spending time with him as well as friends and family. She also volunteers at the Gospel City Church in Pantego and with youth. You can often find Hannah exploring the outdoors. Shes the proud parent of two mini dachshunds, Chandler and Gracie. Hannah and Clay are excited to announce they will be welcoming their first baby in July 2019!
Tammi brings nearly 30 years of experience to Golden Rule Dental Care. As our patient care coordinator, shes committed to helping patients get the smile care they desire. She has a positive attitude and is focused on being the best person she can be. Tammi has an undeniable passion for making each patients day!
Our newest team member, Lauren joined us in late 2018. She loves helping patients and is always focused on being the best RDA she can be so that you know that everything is being done to help you achieve optimum oral health. One of the reasons she chose to join our practice is that we have a progressive educational mindset, so that our team members can grow their skills. And because were happy and friendly!
She is a firm believer in Dr. Nathans mission to focus on the whole person while honoring God first. Each day, Shannon puts her heart into helping patients achieve optimal oral health and overall health through periodontal therapy, ongoing maintenance, and preventive care with an emphasis on patient education and responsibility. She is proud to refer friends and family to a practice that deliver excellent care, where the dentist is devoted to his creator.
Shannon is happily married to Toney and has three children, Britton, Camden, and Gema. She also has a dog, cat, and five silkie chickens. Ask her about them! Shes active in her church (she sings on the worship team, helps with ministry events, and more!). She leads an active lifestyle she ran her first full marathon at 43! Shannon likes to spend time with family and friends, run, play guitar, and read. Her dream is to return to school to get her nutritional communication degree.

First off, let me begin by saying I NEVER write reviews--but after my experience with Dr. Flesher, I felt it was the only right thing to do seeing he has changed my outlook on dentists all together. The office is nice, clean, and doesn't have that "antiseptic" smell that so many places have. The office staff and hygienists were friendly and take the time to explain every step of the process. They were very thorough, but also gentle when examining my teeth and the dentist, Dr. Flesher was very kind and professional. Everyone took special time to make me very comfortable as this was my initial visit to the clinic. This is definitely a staff trained to care and deal with each problem you may have effectively and thoroughly!! I look forward to scheduling my appointment soon. Thank you Dr. Flesher and staff!! You all are truly a blessing from GOD!

Dr Flesher & his staff do a wonderful job taking care of the patients they serve. They are professional & always ready to answer any questions I might have. I have used Dr Flesher for a few years now & have never had an unpleasant experience or gotten less that excellent treatment! The anxiety was making the call to set the appointment after so much time. The receptionist was super sweet and told me not to worry. The staff at my first visit was super sweet and understanding. Priority was making me comfortable and ensuring I was involved in the process. What I appreciated was the staff engaging with me and not simply seeing me as a patient to move in and out. I would recommend this to anyone that has let time slip by and used I will worry about it tomorrow for fear of being judged as an excuse not to go to the dentist.

Let me start with the fact I have EXTREME dental anxiety. After my 40 yrs of trouble finding a dentist that cares to address all of my concerns, finally I found THE ONE! Dr. Flesher, his entire staff, and (in particular) my favorite hygienist Billie have been absolutely wonderful at making sure I'm comfortable both physically and mentally during a course of tough and sometimes painful treatment. They really listen to my needs to make sure we find the right combination of medication, sound therapy, oral numbing, and/or breathing/relaxing to help make my experience as comfortable as possible. They go above and beyond to make me feel welcome, comfortable and loved every time I see or even talk to them on the phone. I'm far from reaching the end of my corrective dental work but I'm well ahead of where I've ever gotten with anyone else. I can't describe how lucky I feel to have found this dental family!!

I am personally excited to have Dr. Fletcher available for my teeth. He is an artist with his techniques! I stayed away from dentists for as long as possible, (fear and bad experience)! After my first appointment at Golden Rule Dental Care I can tell you that it will be my dental office for life! Dr. Flesher and each of his staff members are very knowledgeable in each of their professions and truly care about each of their patients and the quality of dental care they will receive. The office has modern equipment and is prepared to use it effectively. And Dr. Flesher takes the time to talk with his patients and explain each procedure, and his staff also welcomes and answers questions. At 69 years, my wisdom teeth decided to come in. After unhappy experiences at other dentists, I decided to turn it over to God. I googled what I wanted and Dr. Flesher was at the top of the list. God is first and the doctor is an Army Major. Thank you Jesus. Tammi got me in fast and the prep and organization I received was unlike any I've ever seen before and I've seen more than my share of dentists. The Doc's enthusiasm is contagious and he wants more for me than I wanted for myself. He is high tech and wired for perfection. He accepts nothing but the best. I have a lot of work to be done including implants, teeth straightening and whitening, and crown work. I actually look forward to it because I have a wonderful dental family. If you are like me, a Jesus man, the Golden Rule Dental Care is where you want to go. If you're not, go see them anyway. You might just get more than a healthy set of teeth and a beautiful smile. Update: At a much smaller Thanksgiving dinner, we discussed what we were thankful for. At the top of my list of many was the Lord leading me to Dr. Nathan Flesher. Approximately a year and a half ago I told you about the journey I was on to get my teeth fixed. My dental family at GRDC has taken care of me every step of the way. Covid-19 extended the time I thought it should have taken but my God is a right on time God and it all happened right on time. Dr. Flesher had a plan to reconstruct both arches and then perfectly executed the plan. Extraction, bone graft, tissue grafts, chemical whitening, clear braces, root canal, implants, and crowns and I now have the most healthy and beautiful teeth in the world -- a fact (fighter pilots don't lie). Once more -- if you want a beautiful smile and healthy teeth, go see Dr. Flesher and the GRDC team. He also recommended "The Chosen" and was right about that too. And now, the maintenance journey begins.

Finding the right dentist and dental team can seem like it'll never happen. But I'm so glad I brought my son here. I don't ever have to worry about the level of care they give. I had my first dental appointment with Golden Rule Dental, Dr. Flesher, today and it was by far the most thorough exam that I've ever received from a dentist! Dr Flesher and his team were not only professional but kind and respectful in every sense of the word. I am one of those people who panic at the thought of having dental work done. I have to have nitrous oxide for routine cleanings! Sad, but true. At any rate, I never felt rushed or put in a position to feel hurried into making a decision during my visit. In fact, just the opposite was true. They bent over backwards to ensure me that they would work with me on whatever procedures they recommend or that I request. This included the "fear factor", time, and financial responsibility. I prayed that this would be a place that I could call my "dental home", and God so graciously answered my prayer! The icing on the cake is the fact that this is a God fearing dental team. Who could ask for more than that?! I recommend Golden Rule dental to anyone who wants the generous and genuine love, care, professionalism, and honesty that Dr. Flesher's office provides. I'm actually looking forward to going back next week for my second appointment! I thank God that He led me to this wonderful place. If you're looking for a great "dental home", Golden Rule Dental is definitely the place for you!

Awesome staff and Dr. Nathan Flesher is the best. My son was very apprehensive about getting 2 teeth pulled. Dr. Flesher really walked him through it and made it such a good experience for him. The attention and care both Dr Flesher and his assistant gave my son was above and beyond. The day after Dr. Flesher texted to see how he was doing!! Very family oriented practice!!
