Our team is led by Dr. Walls, he attended Temple Dental in Pennsylvania, did his residency in the United States Army where he served for five years thereafter deciding to go west for the great snow. He started his practice in EDH in 2001.
Dr. Walls is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, International Orthodontics Assoc., Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
He and his team participate in continuing education both in the office and by attending the many professional programs in dentistry in order to maintain the optimal treatment options and material options.
While he is not attending to his dental clients, Dr. Walls engages in activities that not only make his bones strong but also help avoid teeth grinding. He loves to ski, mountain bike and a host of other outdoor games.
Wendy met Dr. Walls, on a blind date,when he was first buildinghis practice. Together they designed the office and got it up and running. In 2002 she left her regular job and started working full time in the practice. They married in 2003. Though she tries to stay out of the office now she does like to come in and hang out with our patients and staff. You can ALWAYS hear her laughing with someone.
Marissa started with as a temp. When we moved to our new location Marissa added us to her already busy schedule and was with us part-time. Last year, we were so fortunate that she was able to help us to finally reopen our office. Marissa helped research and navigate the every changing CDC recommendations and implemented new Covid-19 protocols throughout our office. She returned in May and is now with us full time. She loves to educate patients with the newest and latest ways to keep your smile healthy. We are so grateful for her passion for dentistry and commitment to our practice.
We are so happy to welcome back Stacy to our practice. She has gone back to school and received her Expanded Functions license. Not only can she perform all of the assistant duties but, she is able to also perform procedures similar to Dr. Walls. We think of her as a Nurse Practitioner for Dental. Next time you need a filling she just might be the one with the drill.
We have recently found quite a hygiene gem in Rachel. She has only been with us since fall of 2020 but she has proven to be such a great fit to our team. She is kind and caring and loves to educate our patients with what is new in dentistry. Rachel is also a Tech Sergeant in the Air Force and flies on a regular basis. We appreciate her service to our country.
Chelsea joined our team in the fall of 2020. She brings with her many years of experience as an R.D.A. and is very knowledgeable with financial arrangements and insurance billing. While she has had big shoes to fill, she has certainly become quite an asset to GHFD in a very short time. She is kind, friendly and very good at her job. We are sure you will love her as much as we do.

Very professional and sweet people, the office is beautiful and the doctor is so smart! He really knows what he's taking about and the woman who cleaned my teeth made me feel comfortable and no pain during my cleaning!!!

My recent visit was just as good as all of my visits over the past 8 years. The entire staff is very professional and personable. Dr Walls always listens and takes a conservative approach to treatment. He does not recommend aggressive treatments lightly so I feel confident he doesn't just want to provide treatment to make money! I trust him foe my entire family. I love my visits to his office and I don't say that lightly. I recommend this practice to everyone I know in the area.

Dr. Wall has been my dentist for the past several years. He is easy going, knowledgeable and always up to date with the newest technologies. Appointments are easy to schedule and there is very little waiting once you arrive at the office for your appointment. If you are looking for a dentist I would highly recommend Dr. Wall.

Changed dentist back in 2015 and have never looked back! Everyone is super friendly and professional and feel comfortable every time I go in. They are always on time with your appointment and never have to wait past my scheduled time. My favorite part is that they are always staying ahead with technology. My old dentist hadn't changed his office since 1980 and my teeth suffered as a result. Coming here I feel like every time I come in they have a new price of equipment that makes the experience much more enjoyable. Several of my teeth had major issues and we were able to correct old repairs that were poorly done and prevent any major oral work. Highly recommend you give them a try and you will not look back.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Walls for more than 21 years. All we can say is everyone at his office are amazing. The front receptionist always greets you with smile and staff send you home with great feelings. Most importantly Dr. Walls is always up-to-date on his patients.

I have been going to Dr. Walls for about a year, and simply cannot say enough how efficient, courteous, professional, and extremely thorough. Greeted by Wendy is amazing, and then Marissa is arguably the absolutely best dental Hygienist I've ever seen. She educates you on the proper techniques, and has a wonderful sense of style. Dr Walls is outstanding' alway on time, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and a straight shooter! Love Golden Hills!

My experience at Golden Hills Family Dental was incredible! I am a dentist from out of town that needed to see a dentist ASAP. Wendy was so kind and able to get me in right away. Dr. Walls was also so generous with his time, showed me their awesome technology, & helped me with my dental needs. I can tell they genuinely care for their patients! I switched to Golden Hills last year after beginning to suspect my current dentist wasn't giving me proper care. I love this dentistry so much! Dr. Walls gives excellent care, is easy to talk to, and makes you feel understood and taken care of. I suffer from really bad anxiety, and don't normally do well at the dentist. However, I'm always taken care of when I come in, I don't feel as scared to get my teeth cleaned or looked at. Reception and the dental hygienist are lovely too! Highly recommend.
