Don't support this practice. Dr.Roland Goldberg did fillings on my teeth that were not painful at first. But after the filling, one of the tooth was in pain and I end up doing root canal. And even worse he left a hole in another tooth. I am so angry about this.

1. I've been a patient here for 2 years and I had a terrible experience with them in all aspects of the service. During the Covid 19, their office was closed. As an existing patient with excruciating pain, I contacted them multiple times via email. They emailed me back around 5-7 days later that they will check with the dentist. Never got a call for 2 weeks. The pain got worse and worse that I could not sleep anymore, then eventually the dentist came in, looked at it and numb the area. The following day, my pain was worse and I could not go to sleep anymore. He told me to come at 8AM to the clinic and found out that he missed the root canal issue on the molar tooth in front of the tooth that was being treated. I ended up getting an additional $100 Emergency fee. Basically, he earned extra $$ for missing the problem. I addressed this issue multiple times, and got 50% off ( it was $200.) Summary- During the shut down the customer service was suboptimal and I was a victim. Being Charged for the emergency fee was not fair. 2. 1 yr after the root canal was done, I started to have the same tooth pain again. He suggested x- rays and CONE BEAM CT. I was told that I have a tooth abscess and needed to see an endodontist. They burnt the CD and I took it to the endodontist. My endodontist explained that the root canal job was not properly done and one root was not treated. That was causing the pain. My endodontist told me that he did not even need to look at the CT because it is very obvious on X ray. Summary- Dr. Goldberg did not explain what happened to the treated tooth that requires additional treatment. He suggested unnecessary Cone Beam CT. The cause was not properly treated root canal. 3. Very unique Horrible mistake happened to my account. 2 years ago, they were supposed to enter $578.20 to the chart but they entered $5778.20. I have visited there for routine cleaning every 6 months since then, which was covered by insurance with a very Positive balance. 2 Years later, I got a huge bill. All they said was "you need to pay this." No apology and No explanation of the statement. I asked for the itemized receipt and found out that 1 cleaning service was not covered because I met the max benefit that year. Mistakes can happen. However, I deserved apology and explanation of what happened before sending a simple statement with One number. Summary- For this type of mistake, I deserved to know what happened to my account before paying the bill. In this case, this mistake has nothing to do with me. In conclusion: there are lots of Dentists around this zip code. I had a suboptimal experience there. I'm switching my dentist. I gave them multiple chances to make it right.

PLEASE read my review before going to this place. And I'm not the only one who has this issue. 1. The #1 frustration is that Dr. Jarrod Goldberg really did not have good hands. I had a few fillings. One teeth came out painful day 1 after the filling. 3 weeks later, I still have pain. I then had a revisit and Dr Goldberg told me it was totally fine. After 3 month, I still have pain on the filled teeth. I was then told that the filling failed and I need a crown instead!!! There are 2 issues here. The first issue is that why didn't they find out the issue at the beginning? Or even 3 weeks after the filling when I still have pain? The second issue is that since the filling failed, why I have to pay additional $900 for the crown? I've had filling the many different places and I can tell that the fillings Dr Goldberg did was really bad. The junction was very rough and uneven. Do not risk your teeth by going to this place. 2. They are horrible in respecting your time. For the cleaning, I came at 11:00 am, wait the doctor until 11:30 am. Then the doctor took a look at my teeth and suggested some treatment. My actually cleaning start at 11:45 am and finished at 11:55 am. So I paid them the full cleaning price to clean my teeth for 10 min. This is ridiculous. Same story for the deep cleaning + filling. If you charge me for both service, you need to spend time for each service. So for the deep cleaning + filling they only spent ~10 min on the deep cleaning. I would not trust this place and won't risk my own health.

My experience with this office started with a simple routine cleaning appointment. I changed dentist, simply because they were not in network with my insurance, big mistake. The dentist checked my teeth and said I was in desperate need of 6 filings to correct my grinding which was making my back teeth flat and worn out, I agreed to it, since I figured he was right and he told me there wouldn't be any pain or discomfort. There was pain and discomfort from the beginning, the procedure itself was very painful and uncomfortable not to mention unprofessional since he was going back and forth between 2 maybe 3 patients, I was there for 2 hours, yet, I felt they rushed it, they didn't make my bite even and it was so high, that I couldn't eat solid food for 5 days. I was in excruciating pain and terrible discomfort, mind you, I didn't have a problem before coming here. I went back 4 times for adjustments to my bite after the fillings, it never felt right, he was getting visibly frustrated with me and he wasn't listening to my complaints related to the fillings, he told me there was nothing he could do for me anymore and sent me to a bracers salesman, I was so desperate that I went. They convinced me to get $600 x-rays and told me I definitely needed those. At this point I felt wronged and taken advantage of, almost $2k later, I decided to go back to my original dentist. I've never been so grateful for someone's kindness and understanding as much as I was that day to Dr. Kim and Dr. Hermetz. They fix my problem in only one visit, by simply listening to me and adjusting the bite. They made me a new oclusal guard and told I was fine and needed no bracers. Do not spend your time and money in this office, they do care for people only money.

Absolutely the BEST dentists. I've been going to Roland Goldberg for over 9 years now & drive 40 minutes to do so. Will never change dentists, they are simply the best & their office staff is equally wonderful!

I came into Dr. Goldberg's office because my retreat of my root canal did not take from another doctor. They were honest and gave me recommendations and told me upfront with the cost would be. They schedule an appointment for me and did a Apicoectomy Procedure. Dr. Roland Goldberg said the infection was so bad it was up the nasal canal. He spent a lot of time on it and took photos to make sure that he got the right area. I love this office only to receive a call from Dr. rolling over a consult ask how I'm feeling and to make sure I ice it. Not only was the office super nice the quality of the service and the whole staff were amazing. Definitely give us five stars.

Old office with very old equipments. The X-ray are from 1980s. They gave me a treatment plan included $200 for lab fee and $20 for local anesthesia on top of the charges for a crown. I am suspicious that it's illegal to charge extra for those!!

I am extremely disappointed in the customer service at Goldberg Dental Group. I called weeks in advance to make my appointment and I specifically asked them if they took my dental insurance. (My insurance portal told me they were in-network). I gave them all the details on my card and they said they'll call if they run into any issues. No call from them so I assumed everything is all set. When I arrive to my appointment today they told me they didn't take my insurance. The receptionist said, "Sorry, I am supposed to check and I usually check the day before the appointment but I was not here yesterday." That's your excuse?? If you knew you were not going to be in the office, wouldn't you delegate the task to someone else? If you knew you'd be out of office, wouldn't you have plan to check the insurance details ahead of time? It was a waste of my time to have this appointment weeks in advance, to drive over there, and not get serviced.

I had my wisdom teeth removed here and could not have hoped for a better experience. I live in San Francisco but am from San Diego. When I learned I needed my wisdom teeth out, I preferred to have the procedure done in San Diego, and so I went to Goldberg dental. I shared my X-rays and photos with Dr. Jarrod Goldberg, and he helped me schedule the procedure at a time I was going to be in SD, which happened to be on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. By the time I arrived in SD on Monday, Dr. Goldberg had already called in all my post-procedure medicines to the pharmacy (so I could pick them up before the procedure). On Tuesday, I arrived to the office ~30 minutes before the procedure. The office staff were welcoming and kind, and the appointment was not delayed at all (woohoo). Dr. Goldberg gave me a medicine to calm me down before administering local anesthetic. He then took my wisdom teeth out in about 40-60 mins. He was very skilled and professional, and I had no pain or fear throughout the procedure. After the procedure, both Dr. Goldberg and the staff gave me very clear instructions for how to take care of my mouth over the next week. I was able to eat solid food that same night, and I was able to fully enjoy Thanksgiving (two days later). I am now 6-days out, back in SF, and my mouth is nearly completely healed. The Dr. and support staff here were awesome--punctual, efficient, compassionate, and provided a great outcome. Thanks, Dr. Goldberg and team, for making this a better-than-expected experience! I am truly grateful!

After a couple sessions, I believe Dr. Jarrod is in rarified air in terms of his superior bedside manner as well as overall skill. He is friendly, gentle, communicative, and efficient with your time. Fillings were essentially pain free. Office has easy parking and very friendly reception staff. Assistant Riki also treated me well. 5 stars!

I am very disappointed. A friend of mine recommended this office to me as I was having pain on one side of my face. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, however when the Dr came in to do the check up, things changed. I noticed him being very aggressive towards his assistant and other staff members, (my mother was a dental assistant, so I got very upset) the "welcoming" environment changed to a money making business. They took a couple of x rays (which were VERY expensive) and according to him, I was having multiple problems that were causing the pain. He recommended me a toothpaste that I had to buy from him and a mouthwash (that I also had to buy from him), multiple fillings (including fillings on the OTHER SIDE of the face), a mouthguard, an ortho gadget and I don't even remember what else. I went there several times to get treatment done, and I won't get into anymore details, except that the pain was still there and he wanted me to get several root canals done. I went to another dentist and turns out that the fillings were badly done, this other dentist placed a protecting material under the filling and voila! no more pain. Turns out I had a couple of cavities that needed to be taken care of in a proper way! Be careful people, do not support this kind of practice.

I absolutely love this place. I changed my insurance so I cannot go to my old dentist. I first went to another dentist (not gonna name it, but it's in the Ralph's plaza) who told me I had severe periodontal problems (multiple pockets 5mm+) and I need a full mouth deep cleaning with antibiotic irrigation and laser decontamination. Daunted by the price (400$+ after insurance since laser is not covered) and feeling weird cause I had a deep cleaning in 2018 and I've been going to my old dentist regularly without being told I have any problem ever since. I decide to get a second opinion here. Dr Jerold Goldberg did a thorough examination for me and told me my gum looks perfectly healthy, with only one 4mm pocket, and I do not need the deep cleaning at all - just do regular cleaning. The receptionist Lupen was also super helpful in explaining the insurance coverage and quote. This will be my go to dentist now.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jarrod Goldberg's for about 4 years now and his dental office (including Dentist, Hygienist and front office staff) are by far the most amazing group of people. I personally have an irrational fear of going to the dentist, but they have always gone above and beyond to be friendly and supportive. Somehow Dr. Goldberg remembers who you are (by name!) once he has seen you a few times. His staff are extremely friendly and helpful when describing payments or appointment scheduling. He has also called me personally when I have had questions with a procedure or payment. I cannot recommend this dental group enough. 5+ stars and I hope to always be a patient of Dr. Goldberg.

My insurance changed so I had to change dentists. My first impression meeting the whole team at Goldberg Dental group was extremely good. He is a nice guy with a clean office and friendly staff. I like how quickly he found all the work that needed to be done on my teeth and laid out a clear plan of action with a price chart next to it.

Due to daylight savings time, Google Calendar told me that my appt. was a day early. When I arrived at the office, Jared and his team went above and beyond and managed to fit me in their busy schedule. Him and his team are super nice and helpful. Also, the environment is very relaxed. A lot of my co workers come here because they all have positive experiences as well. Great job, keep it up!
