Born and raised in Redlands, CA he attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. After Graduation Dr. Scott completed a Graduate Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital, Connecticut where he trained with specialists in oral surgery, endodontics, periodontology, restorative dentistry and the operating room. It was there he decided Pediatric Dentistry was his calling.

Dr. Scott trained as a Pediatric Dental Resident at Childrens Medical Center of Connecticut and The University of Connecticut satellite dental clinics. His clinical expertise comprises interceptive orthodontics, sedation dentistry, operating room, emergency call/trauma, cranio-facial disorders, and infant oral health.

Dr. Scott is happy to be back in his home state! He loves to cook and is an avid foodie. He also enjoys time outdoors with his wife, Darcy. Watching and discussing sports, and long walks with their two dogs, Reina and Allie. Dr. Scott resides in Carmichael and is filled with excitement to start on this new adventure as practice owner at Gold River Pediatric Dentistry.

Amanda has more than 12 years of experience in pediatric dentistry. Her communication and multitasking skills influence our back office team to reach daily safety goals. She finds it very rewarding to be a part of a Childs smile journey. Watching her patients improve their oral health habits encourages her to continue working in the field.

Tonya has been in the dental field over 12 years. From office administrator to back office assistant. Working with Children has become her most favorite fragment of the field. She believes a positive and fun environment brings success to each childs dental visit.

Kelly has 14 years of experience in pediatric dentistry. Encouraging patients is part of her daily routine and its something shetruly enjoys. She stronglybelieves that taking the time to educate through show and tell techniques, helps young patients cope with any anxiety they may experience at the dental chair. This method works to build trust with her patients, understanding them better transitions into a fun and easy visit.

Married for 23 years, she is happy as can be with her husband and two kids. In her spare time she loves to cook for her family and friends. She enjoys camping, walking her dog and taking a fun summer vacation every year.

She takes pride in promoting oral health education to Families of young Children and adolescents. The earlier good oral health habits are established, the greater the impact. She enjoys engaging with our young patients, praising and using positive reinforcements. This builds trust and minimizes fear and anxiety in Children.

Tatyana is a Registered Dental Assistant, and a graduate of Sacramento State University.She has been in dentistry for over 20 years. She is bilingual in Russian, a Certified Dental Coder and Certified Dental Billing Specialist. She enjoys taking pilates, strength and weight training classes. She loves the outdoors, hiking and relaxing during her free time.

Veronikahas been a dentalassistant for three years. Her enthusiasm and active interest in Dentistry growsevery day. She likes learning new ways to better treat young patients and assist in making them feel safe and at easeduring treatment.

At Gold River Pediatric Dentistry, we have two qualified and licensed anesthesiologists who work with Dr. Scott to provide pain-free oral health care and treatments to infants, children, and teens, including those with special healthcare needs, to ensure that they have a positive experience and receive the quality of care they deserve.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Dr. Cheung completed his Bachelors Degree in Neuroscience at the University of California, Riverside, before earning his DDS at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.

Dr. Cheung then made the cross-country journey to Long Island, NY, to compete a three-year residency program in Dental Anesthesiology at Stony Brook University Hospital and School of Dental Medicine, serving as chief resident during his third year. Dr. Cheung received extensive training in treating adult, pediatric, and special needs patients in both the private office and hospital settings.

Dr. Huang has spent most of her life between Northern and Southern California. After graduating from University of California, Berkeley with a dual degree in Economics and Japanese Language, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry and completed a post-baccalaureate program at Scripps College. She earned her DDS from University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry and then completed a general practice residency at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System where she first discovered her interest in anesthesia. She then completed her dental anesthesiology residency at UCLA School of Dentistry and established a mobile anesthesia practice in Southern California. Dr. Huang is a diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and is on the board of directors for the California Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists.

Additionally, Dr. Young is a contributor for the ADBA Oral Board Exam Committee and also serves as an Oral Board Examiner. Throughout his training, Dr. Young has actively participated in student education by teaching and lecturing for courses encompassing local anesthesia, medical emergencies, and sedation/general anesthesia concepts.

Dr. Yen grew up in Northern Californias Bay Area, and then traveled to Southern California to pursue his undergraduate studies in Physiology from UCLA. He attended dental school at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Dr. Yen is a board-certified diplomate, a director in the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and an oral board examiner, all of which allow him to make ongoing contributions towards maintaining and elevating a high standard of practice in the field of Dental Anesthesiology. Dr. Yen also lectures to various student groups and courses, and contributes continuing education review articles in the Anesthesia Progress journal. Dr. Yen is passionate about serving pediatric and special needs patients, because they are usually the most likely to miss out on dental treatment due to fear and apprehension. In fact, he travels to Nicaragua every year to provide anesthesia to those with extremely limited access to care.

Our objective is to optimize the oral health of our patients by not only performing routine professional cleanings, and dental check ups, but also educating parents on how to establish proper oral habits from childhood.
