I received a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. In 1998, I graduated first in my class from the University Of Louisville School Of Dentistry, where I also completed my specialty training in Orthodontics in 2000.

I find it extremely gratifying to be able to help my patients achieve and maintain functional, beautiful smiles. To do this, I've made it a priority to have the education and training in which my patients can feel confident in.

As part of my commitment to my patients, I continue to update my education to stay on the cutting edge of technology. I am an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and the Idaho State Dental Association.

Besides having over 20 years of experience and a passion of learning the latest technological advances in orthodontic care, Dr Gold and his team have a professional and down-to-earth approach, where you will find exceptional service with a warm welcome.

Holly has been with Gold Orthodontics since 2008, and enjoys getting to know all our patients, and making them feel welcome. Holly has lived in Idaho since 2002, but she grew up in Arizona and California. Along with spending time with her husband and four kids, Holly enjoys traveling, beaches, and warm weather.

Vada has been in the orthodontic field since 2006, starting in the clinic and then moving into treatment/financial coordinator position. She enjoys meeting new patients, watching their confidence grow along with their transformation. Vada and her husband moved to Idaho in 2014 from Eastern Washington. They enjoy spending time with their 2 adult boys along with golfing, boating and riding their Harley.

Katrina has been with Gold Orthodontics since 2005, and has over 11 years of orthodontic experience, as well as over 2 1/2 years of dental experience. She enjoys spending time getting to know her patients, and making sure that each patient's treatment is as comfortable as possible. Katrina grew up in a military family, so she has lived all over, but now resides in Idaho. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and scrapbooking.

Brittni started working at Gold Orthodontics in 2018, she has been doing dental assisting for 5 years prior. Brittni likes working in orthodontics because she enjoys watching our patients gain confidence after their braces are removed and she also enjoys watching their progress through their dental experience. She is a native Idahoan and just moved back to Boise last year. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her son and family.

Stacey brings more that 18 years of valued orthodontic experience to our office. She enjoys patient interaction and gets excited watching them grow and change as their beautiful smiles evolve. She loves her family and has two daughters, Alex and Jayci and two sons, Zach and Cooper. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, crafting, and playing board games with her friends and family.

Carla truly enjoys making a connection with all of the families that walk through our door. As a Mom, she knows how important it is that everyone feels welcome, comfortable and educated about treatment. When Carla isn't in the office, she loves spending time with her three college kids. Living in Idaho gives her the opportunity to do what she loves being outside! When its too cold, she's usually indoors knitting, crafting or lavishing her daughters pooch, Bentley with treats and love.

Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, metal braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colorful smile.

Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, they do require more attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are larger and are more brittle than their metal counterparts. For these reasons, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth.

Clear appliances (such as Invisalign) use a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. And, no one can tell you are wearing those aligners because they are invisible! Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are less of a hassle. The aligners are comfortable and have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.
